CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

With around 12 hrs left to run I'm surprised to still be in 3rd place for rally Greece. I notice a couple of quick competitors have so far only gone as far as stage 5,so this may change.

Coming up is rally Wales in modern era cars, which again could be quite tricky. Looking forward to the challenge but hoping I don't crash on every stage!

So rally Greece is over and the results look like this

Greece Overall 14.jpg

We had 21 starters and 14 finishers on what proved to be a tricky rally for most.
I will post the points table up for everyone tomorrow.

Yeah baby, another 8th place for me! I gotta lift my game even more though if I want a top five finish.

I decided to do a bit of testing for the next event to help me decide which car to use.

This is my run through SS1 in the Fiesta.

I have to try the Fiesta. Hope to give it a go in the rally. Back from holiday so a bit slow catching up with everything (a bit like when I play CRAP DiRT Rally).

Wales was going ok until the last stage. Had a high speed off in the beginning of the stage, which resetted the car. Made another 2-3 small mistakes mid-stage, before totally binning it again 50m before the FF :ouch:

I'm happy if I only make 2-3 major mistakes every 100 metres ;)

Here is the current points table after round 1, Rally Greece, of the Crap Dirt league.

I'll try and find time to finish the rally this time.

Question: Does the quality of our career pit crew teams affect these events Iain?

I'm not sure about that JSB but in the event setups you can allow them or exclude them. I have them excluded in the current season so they will make no difference.
In future seasons we will have to allow them and see what difference it makes.

Oh dear I had a nightmare in Wales, on the day stages I had found a nice rhythm and had made a 10 second lead but then half way through River Severn Valley (The first night one) I took to much speed into a 3 right and drifted about a cars width too far too the left, enough to drop the back wheel down the embankment and roll into the trees. I picked up a 15 second penalty, a right rear puncture and lost all the lights, I made it to the end of the stage but lost around 65s to the stage winner.

Then I decided to just go for it on the last stage in the hope of catching 2nd but this time I crashed properly, a wonky landing from a jump in 6th gear and another roll into the trees.

Well isn't this just a fun event... apart from a spectacular barrel roll, getting stuck on the post while sliding around the Sweet Lamb U-turn, crashing off into the trees, what else could go wrong in the first three stages?

I may possibly resume the second half tomorrow... but the darkness is yet to come

That was really intense, had too take a break after every run, was sure I was going too mess up on the two last stages, trying too keep the headlights make me feel that I have too drive the car and not only play, if that make any sense.

Any plans for a new hillclimb?

While I've been playing on consoles forever...when it comes to playing on line, I don't ever do it. Well, until I got DiRT Rally and started doing the daily's and weekly's, etc. I would be very interested in joining a league but have no idea how to go about it.
A couple of things...first being (and I'm not sure if this is a deal breaker) but I'm Canadian. Does the time difference screw everything up? Do we all have to race at the same time, or are events up for 24 hours (i.e. like the Daily's). Also, considering that I don't really race on-line, the fact that I don't have headphones and way to speak to anyone, does that exclude me?
Anyway, if you're looking for more racers in your league, I would be quite interested. If someone could point me in the right direction in regards to registering, please respond.
My PS4 handle is Dice73AF.
Thank you, in advance.

Forgive the long winded message. SMRT, I am so smart (jokes, only jokes). I figured it out...and see that I have four days to complete Wales in the 2010s. Will begin this evening...

Welcome Dice. I'm doing this event soon too. Tonight or early tomorrow. Rallycross events are pvp (racing against eachother online) so you must be online with others to do them but these rally stages you do alone and each club got their own scoreboard. We also have a project cars group and a main group thread. I believe links are in first post.

Thanks, Knukken!! I'm looking forward to seeing how I measure up.
I'm also quite interested in the Project CARS leagues...although ever since April 5th, the only game that's gone into my PS4 is DiRT Rally. But yeah, Project CARS is awesome!!
Thanks again. See you on the stages!!

Welcome Dice73AF to the Crap Dirt Club

https://www.dirtgame.com/uk/leagues/league/31985/crap-dirt-club and this is a link to the current Crap rally league

These events are basically time trials so you do when ever you like, we don't need to be online at the same time, just as knukken has stated. Hope to see your name up on the scoreboard soon!

@Eyeseeh50 - thank you. So, last night when I got home from work, I fired up DR went into the "Leagues" window which directed me Dirt's website. Once there I found the league but couldn't for the life of me figure out how to actually compete. Maybe I've done something wrong... Any feedback as to how I can get into the event and start putting down some time would be appreciated. Forgive me for the "noob" questions. Once I figure it out, I'll be less verbose ;-)

At the end of the league description should be a button to join the league (top right corner of the page). Did you join?
From the main menu (I'm doing this from memory so may be wrong) there should be an online section, then leagues which will list all the leagues you are a member of and also listing how long any events in the league has left to run.
Hope this helps.
I will check I got this right when I get home from work.

I will go home at lunch and see what's what. Yes, I hit the "request to join" tab...maybe it wasn't instant. I'll check at lunch and drop a line so you don't waste your time. Thanks again for getting back to me. Appreciated...
