The foundations of CORE are the casual races & free runs that we all enjoy & that will never go away so have no fear there. I agree that a session at a set time & day would be sweet & of course those that don't want to participate don't have to so it can work.

Any so called "competitive" nights or leagues or whatever we run will be strictly casual as well, yeah we all like a victory but there'll be no trophies on offer, there are pro leagues for that!

Completely agree, wouldn't mind if there was a set roster or something in effect to track points though just so you could track your own improvement over time but even a completely casual schedule would be great with me as well. The whole point system could end up happening later though or being a spinoff of CORE, COREL if you will (Casual Online Racing Enthusiast League(not the best name I know, just sort of spit balling). That would require more time of the person "in charge" (for lack of a better term).

Nice driving with you Ken. Sorry if that M3 (myself) was a bit sloppy, it's the first time I driven it and I could barely hear the engine over Mrs Shem's music.

The tracks are great. I used to think it was a pain in the bottom learning a new track but I find myself enjoying driving on a completely unknown set of road!

Had to bunk off early because I'm up at 7am tomorrow.

Anyone in Western North America doing something similar to this. I get on GT5 about 2 nights a week for an hour or 2 each time. Can't consistently commit to any particular night. Haven't had a lot of experience with online racing, but would like to get into it more. Would love if there was a room (or rooms) that were regularly open that I could go to when available.

Just saw this. It wold probably be good to move it soon, once there is a significant number of interested people (don't know what that number should be).
However there is already a group called the CORE GT (or something to that effect), so a name change might be necessary..

How about just C.O.R.E Club Racing? It's simple, the same as it started as and we all know what it means.

There's no need to think up wild names just because another series/group has the same initials.....

Never even thought some thing like this would ever happen Hey its not like I've got any legal rights or ownership to the name, many thanks for even bothering to mention it and even ask if its ok to use the name.

I've got no issues, like you say your's is an acronym and the way I use it is in the 'CORE GT' from my PS3 CORE Clan www.OmniusCORE.enjin.com

So short of anyone getting mixed up and coming to the wrong one its up to you, if you want a bit more individuality how about C.A.R.S. - Casual Auto Racing Specialists?

If you are just starting up this group, people may think you're attached to us as I've been on here for a while now, and those who didn't find that my group was for them may effect your group???

On an unrelated note, my PS3 has gone all stupid on me and it seems to have deleted all my contacts and GT has crashed 4 times in 30 minutes. I'm doing some checks now to see if I can fix it.

I won't be on tonight guys, I've already started falling asleep lol spent 150 minutes batting in searing heat today (played cricket) & I'm totally knackered & need sleep, I'll be on in morning tho, will be on in 7 or 8 hours

and I've had an idea... instead of a league why don't we do a monthly enduro? that way it's still casual AND it will be easy to manage! We can do different tracks & also change the times up so that some people aren't constantly racing at 3am!

Of course this is in addition to the usual rooms so that won't changer!

Can do different lounge hosts each time too with host choosing car regs & track regs pre agreed by all when we all agree on the track!
