Wednesday evening anyone about 7.30 pm.

I'm thinking back to basics stock cars small tracks maybe 6 laps and choice of 3 cars smallish pp maybe a front, rear and four wheel drive

Cars to be picked before Wednesday so any suggestions welcome

whoever picks the track also picks the car.

I'm not sure I'll be on tomorrow night Bry but others will probably be around. I will possibly be on tonight trying out some stock car races for Saturday. Remember to make it a public room and you shouldn't be alone for too long :)
 
On Saturday we're going to try the following. It is a new series of ocassional races with only 2 cars used stock, 1 a little slower than the other. The top half of finishers will use the slower car in the following race. The same will happen after each race. There will be 2 races at each circuit.

Only aid disallowed is SRF.

Club Event Description
Only 2 cars used stock. 2 races per track. Top half use slower car next race. CARS M5 & ISF. STOCK do oil change. NO AERO. CLUB lobby

Cars can be painted. Ensure no cars have aero, Custom gauges are allowed in tuning prohibited rooms as are custom wheels.

The room will need to be limited to 516pp for both cars. That's the is f with oil change and slows the M5 down a bit.

So for Race 1 we'll all start in the Lexus and then both will be used from then on.

The grid should use the result of the previous race (not reverse grid).

New people in the room to start in the M5.

I am sorry to say I cannot make it at 1pm now due to family changing their minds yet again. Please can someone else run this today? Have I left enough detail? I will have access to these forums and can answer questions if you have any. I will be able to get on later but definitely not at the start.

Edit: If no one has opened a room I hope to be able open a room at 3pm.

Thanks to everyone for some enjoyable racing yesterday. I joined at 3pm for a couple of hours and it was good to see so many there.
Connection issues aside what did people think of the format itself? We could run something similar from time to time. Any further car match up suggestions appreciated.

Please do not use the Lexus IS F it was a 🤬 terrible car ( yes I should of listened :banghead:) and I have sold it.

Neither are easy without aids. Traction control could have helped. Looking at the results when I was in the room, the cars seemed well spread throughout each race so hopefully the principle was ok. I think giving new room entrants the faster car at the start makes sense. I never got to use the IS F in my races as I never finished in the top half until my last race. We had a bit of an issue with one laggy public driver who bashed his way around a few races causing offs for me and @danbojte Sorry it wasn't noticed earlier. Mostly it was attacks from the rear.

Bry, you should have tried the stock C63 which was even less stable and very difficult to be consistant in.
 
@JohnScoonsBeard Yes, so shame for that. In the end I got frustrated indeed. Anyway, for the most part was enjoyable racing. 👍

Edit : My best results was two silver medals in the Lexus. And many other top five finish. I reached to drive the BMW only in the last race. :cheers:

I hope to be around this weekend but not until approximately 3pm Saturday. Can anyone be online earlier than that to kick something off? I will wait a day before confirming details.

Choices are as follows

1 Another 2 car event like the one on Saturday. Cars are tested and ready to go. BMW Z4 M Coupe V Nissan Z34. Thanks to @copes24 for testing and for hosting on Saturday.

2 Single make racing in the stock Honda HSV-010 GT BASE MODEL. RH tyres.

3 More 437pp Hot Hatch Racers/Chavved up road cars. RH tyres

4 More 440pp Roadsters SH tyres.

If you have a preference now is the time to say. I may run one of the other events ad hoc one evening this week.

I would say #2 but that said I am not sure at this moment in time what I will be doing this Saturday if I can get on early I will open a room.

Will let you know before Saturday.

Hi @Idinity will do. Look up the "CRAP Racing" group in GT6 community search and you should find my group/club. The club name has a suffix of the next racing date. The club events show what sort of events are planned or coming soon.

If I can manage to stay awake long enough I will be on tonight running one of these above (or joining one of you) from early evening for a couple of hours.

Yes, we're doing the 2 Horse Races again this Saturday (details coming shortly)

Funnily enough I was thinking of running one of the new VGTs in a race at some point although it was the Alpine. Mind you it needs a tune in my book as it's strangely understeery.

Anyone fancy seeing which VGTs work well together (including use of engine limiter)?

Hello CRAPpers

Just in case some of you have missed this, all of the CRAP racing recently (and there has been a lot) has been taking place in the CRAP Racing club in GT6. This can be found in the GT6 community section. Search for CRAP Racing and join my club. If you are a friend of mine find me in the in game friends list also in the community section. Then click on my club where you can join from.

Anyone can join but a few members/non members who still visit here might not be aware that there are at least 2 CRAP groups in the game. The other was set up by HP Heathenpride (CRAP founder and King of The Ring) which is just set up for his endurance racing and not so active. Multiple events (some of which we rerun from time to time) are set up on my version.

The name of my club has an ever changing title suffix after "CRAP Racing" which is the date and time of the next scheduled racing.
 
Had a great afternoons racing, another two well selected cars to race. First track was Silverstone International Circuit, with every one using the Nissan(the slightly slower) of the two cars to decide the order for the following race. With a bit of luck I have uploaded some screen shots of the opening race.
