When you're working out race time
you also need to consider how much time the overall event might be including qualifying and any other sessions you want.

We (CRAP) used to have a main endurance race in GT5 once a month. It gave us a while to prepare a tune for the track and do a little practice while still leaving plenty of space for the more relaxed nature of some of the group's other races.

Sharing responsibilities for organising, promoting and hosting the enduros help me a great deal and help foster an attitude of I can host/organise something in the group. If more people are playing more regularly then there's more chance of more of us being on at the odd times some of us get the time to play. Thanks all of you.

Ah good point! I'd probably go with 2.5 hour race and then 10 mins practice, 15 mins qualifying and a 5 minute warm up before so people can grab a drink/toilet break before the race. So 3pm - 6pm all in.

I'd agree that if we were to do it regularly it would be best to keep it monthly as its a large chunk of time that people will need to organise their schedules around.

Monthy or even bi-monthly endurance sounds great.

I would happily help/host future events, just don't want to seem like I'm "taking someone's job away". If people enjoy hosting that's fine. For future reference I can help whenever it's needed as long as real life stuff isn't in the way.

If you got some time this week it would be good to give pit stops a proper test and make sure they're not too buggered, if we're making 2-3 stops they better work.

Don't want us throwing hours down the toilet 'cause of some silly bugs.

OK 👍 I'm doing the Le Mans 24hr (chopping it down to 12) on Saturday, will report back.

I need to fix my set up before i do an endurance race. right now i have my wheel hooked up to my coffee table and to use it i have to sit forward on my couch (no back rest) and the wheel is very low and barely and leg room lol. i am going to try and build a stand this weekend and move my couch around so i can participate in endurance race without giving myself back problems.

Also, can i suggest Spa as a track for an endurance race eventually?

Lastly, come September, i will start hosting events also. My family is in town for the summer so my schedule is all over the place but come September, i will have less commitments and can consistently host races. especially for the North Americans that like to race during our evening also :)

Hey guys, I met Allstyles on here and have been racing with him, I also have skankypuppy and admoo too. Would love to get involved in your races, I've been invited by Allstyles before so you may have seen me race already! P.s.:danrc2010. Add me and send me invites and by the sounds of it these endurance races sound fun!

Great to hear it. We do try to make the enduro work for most member's timezones.

Our first endurance race was at Spa in May. It will come round again but probably not for a while in the official monthly enduro as we tend to keep things varied. However there are plenty of other races we'll be running where we can use it.

Viable cheap options for driving setups are fold up camping chairs or even better fishing chairs with adjustable legs. It could even fit with your coffee table.

Welcome Daniel. Can I suggest you add all of the people in post 2. Many of them are often online. Also click the watch thread link at the top to get an alert when there are new posts to read.

We have a couple of other threads. One is the endurance race thread and another the Porsche Supercup thread which we run fairly regularly. Both are linked from the first post in this thread and you can register interest below. Looking forward to racing with you.

Inspite of a raised eyebrow to your Teutonic event name I've added it to post one (as our next event). To be fair to Herr Spooky I think the salute refers to some brilliant German cars ;)

Herr @Spooky Wooky ist ein Deutsche geboren Englisch mann, was erklärt warum er die autos liebt.

edit: it's appalling German but I tried my best! Only needed to look up a couple of words (geboren, warum and erklärt) though!

Thanks John, of course I named the title as a nod to the fantastic vehicles of Deutschland. What else could I have meant, some sort of royal wave?

I'd love to be involved in your guys' racing scene, I am close friends with Rizla and Thomas, they mentioned to me you guys run some races on PCars. Some background on me, I used to run in some GT5 (and some GT6) GT300/GT500, LMP, GT3 type races and know what it takes to run clean, be patient, and have fun.

Anyway sign me up, my PSN for PS4 is now No1Driv3r_

Feel free to add me on PSN or send me any invites to group messages. I work 5 days a week (8 hours a day) Wed-Sat, and Monday. I work 9-6ish (PST) time.

Should be no reason for it not to go ahead.

Track layouts, number of laps, cars confirmed.
