When you're working out race time
you also need to consider how much time the overall event might be including qualifying and any other sessions you want.
We (CRAP) used to have a main endurance race in GT5 once a month. It gave us a while to prepare a tune for the track and do a little practice while still leaving plenty of space for the more relaxed nature of some of the group's other races.
Sharing responsibilities for organising, promoting and hosting the enduros help me a great deal and help foster an attitude of I can host/organise something in the group. If more people are playing more regularly then there's more chance of more of us being on at the odd times some of us get the time to play. Thanks all of you.
Ah good point! I'd probably go with 2.5 hour race and then 10 mins practice, 15 mins qualifying and a 5 minute warm up before so people can grab a drink/toilet break before the race. So 3pm - 6pm all in.
I'd agree that if we were to do it regularly it would be best to keep it monthly as its a large chunk of time that people will need to organise their schedules around.
