I'm going to make a video to explain the layout and line you have to take to be able to achieve a good time. it's going to take a bit of time but I'll get it out.

Plus I'll explain the cars behavior (In my experience and overall feel) and how to possibly exploit it, all in 1 video.
I don't expect it to be 100% professional but it's enough to get you guys an understanding on what to do in order to complete a good lap here.

Thanks. That would help. I did a couple of 30 laps sessions where I had the car consistently doing 1:03 with plenty of fun counter steering. I could see how I could get a 1:02.5 but not 2 seconds less. I need to try a bit more trail braking.

I had too much time on my hands last night/this morning as I couldn't sleep last night after being woken up by the kids. I'm not ranting just trying to be fair to everyone Rhino

At the moment @ty2 , @DropBuckets and @Nick 4 P1 are the fastest 2 CRAPpers to go through to the race next Saturday the 19th! @Spooky Wooky has already confirmed he won't take part, and @Carnby7 is still an unknown quantity, we need to race him, and visa virsa, for him to becoma a full time CRAPper! If he races with us regulally from now on, he can qualify for Aprils's race, no problem!

These run offs cause so many grey areas, in real life and in video games, if they weren't there, there would be no doubts...Just a thought.

Yes that's true. But we can't blame the tracks putting them in for safety reasons. In theory the extra "chequered" brick and grass areas give some grip in areas where it was just grass before. With walls close to the track they should reduce the chance of a bad accident. I think maybe I overreacted as regards the lap as there were so many offs. Using the game to decide is good. It is quite difficult for a game to get penalties spot on. Most tracks the game gets time trial invalidations right. It's certainly keen when cutting the track but programming going wide Penalties is more difficult as most tracks and corners going wide does mean the lap takes longer. With those areas, going wide can give quicker times. I wasn't pointing the finger Hammy but you do probably need to come to an agreement with NXTGEN over what's the right way to do it.

A little bit faster, but after recalabrating my wheel (Haven't done it for months lol) I can no now do laps much more consistantly in the 1:01s...... Feeling more confident now for the race.👍

Yes Football, i've noticed that in races as well with the fastest lap on the top right (on my HUD setup lol), that in each class at each track, the fastest lap you do in that class is recorded only, not each car in that class, another thing that should have been fixed, a bit like not being able to adjust setup in TT mode in the pitlane either......

And yes @ty2 ace, as Football said, it's not showing as i think my fastest lap in that Road class is in the Ariel Atom, stupid really, all fastest laps show be shown, not just your fastest class lap outright......

Ok man cool, but i would suggest, as this race is now only a week away, if you could get online and race sometime before Saturday the 19th, race day, so we can see how race eachother etc etc. All the guys setting times here are on almost every day, from 8pm GMT (That's 3pm EST your time i believe) for a good 2 or 3 hours of random car/track combos, and we always have great fun!

Sorry I thought you were using the time trial results results. I was a 1:02.678 in the end. It's a few posts up. It's not important as I can't race and didnt qualify anyway . However, it puts me slightly higher up. I thoroughly enjoyed the time trial though. Thanks Hammy. Good luck to everyone in the race.

For this month JSB i am still using the system of having the times posted here in this thread to count, but from next month i'll use the TT times screen for reference as for sure it's easier.

Yes it's been great, we should be very competitive and sharp for this race with all the practice that's been done, we should do well again!!

Tuning: Stock

In game time: 10am

Weather: Heavy Cloud

Aids: ABS only

Damage: Full

Fuel and yre wear : Off

Qualifying 30 minutes

Race laps: 30

A new thing for qualifying this time round everyone, ALL 8 places are up for grabs, so feel free, and welcome to try and qualify for this event. As ever, use TT mode to do your times, and you can try as much as you like! Times from the in game timing screen will be used to register the times, (but you can mention your times here so i know to look at the screen and make a note of your time here) so no need to look for those memory sticks to upload screenshots anymore!

Qualifying to start from today, and will be open until Saturday the 23rd of April, one week before the race takes place the following Saturday the 30th.
