Craziest cars to race in Supercar festival with?

Mazda Axela 23S (i.e. the Mazda3) = 6:12, just nudging out the C12S 7.3
Hyundai Tiburon GT '01 = 6:09
Infiniti FX45 = 6:01 (but handles like a brick)
Lotus Europa = 6:19 (but doesn't handle like a brick)

STATION WAGONS (worst to best):
Volvo 240 Estate = 6:49 (haha)
Mitsubishi Legnum = 6:21
Nissan Stagea 260RS = 6:06
Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon = 6:03
Audi RS4 = 5:58
Audi RS6 Avant '08 = 5:48

I actually prefer the handling of the RS4 to the RS6.
For comparison's sake, the best time I had around Eifel was 5:05 in an Audi R8 Race Car.
All cars were completely tuned, and on racing soft.

Awesome breakdown of the times. I must do something similar. To me, this is the spirit of the thread. 👍

My "test track" is Trial Mountain now Seattle is gone. Must post times.

Like this list.👍👍 I need to run a couple of my card to compare times. Especially interested in your tune for the RS6 as I just published one in my garage in the tuning forum. My times with it are close to yours but mine was tuned for time attack on Nürburgring so I might be able to shave a bit off with a couple minor adjustments for Eifel.
Be interesting to see what you run next.:D

Yes, I don't really "tune"... I just add every possible upgrade, including a wing/downforce on the premium cars (the standards look aweful most the time... I did add a wing to the Europa, though). I slap on racing soft, and just run around Eifel, regardless of what the competition is. I'm using an HKS racing controller, and I'm not exactly the best of drivers, so your results will vary.

If people are running around Eifel in a maxed out car (including tires), then by all means, post your lap time, so that we can compare :)

If you want to send me an FR I have my RS6 on share. I will make a quick adjustment on the transmission for Eifel. Would love to see your time and thoughts on the car.

That's ok... I'm not that hardcore into it. Just wanted to see how the estates (wagons) do. There are some other Subaru Legacy's and a standard RS6 that I haven't tried yet.

I didn't make any adjustments to the transmission for Eifel, although I think most cars should be set at about 250km/h top speed.

okay sounds good. Enjoy the driving!:gtpflag:

I did it in an RM Civic Type R at Tsukuba. Was winning after the first couple of laps, couldn't get away from the VW Nardo though, he finished just over 3 seconds behind, 3rd was a good 15/20 seconds back. Wouldn't have managed it on a more open circuit. Civic is 393 bhp from memory.

I won the Eifel Circuit with the ´65 Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2. It looked desperate on the first straight but thanks to the cars superior cornering capabilities I caught the zonda in the third last corner and managed to block its overtaking attemps so I won by 0.089 secs.

Perhaps not in the true spirit of the thread, but it looks pretty crazy: tried the A4 DTM car ('04?). Doesn't have the power to trouble the top AIs on acceleration or top speed, so is fairly even I'd say.

Trial Mountain - incredible grip/downforce through the S bends. Won by a few seconds over the Zonda (no R390).

Also did SSR (3rd) but Eiffel was hopeless as I couldn't remember the track - was a sector away from being lapped :dunce:

can win on all tracks in the ctr (yellowbird), provided its twitchy handling doesn't get the better of me

Thanks for bumping an interesting thread, but the Yellowbird *is* a supercar (just a very slippery one). Point of this thread is which tuned underdog cars can also win the races, ie. not supercars. I like the idea of using a truck, might try that tomorrow though I can't remember which the fastest stock truck was that I used for the truck event, would make sense to trick it out whatever it was. Hmm.

I did it with a 600PP Ford GT with some tuning. The Ford GT destroys the Stars & Stripes seasonal too.

So who has come in first using the car with the lowest PP rating? I squeezed out a win vs the Mclaren using a Mazda Furai and Honda HSV-010 both downtuned to 515pp. Has anyone managed to go lower?
