I have sat here for an hour matching the gear ratios and my car won’t go below about 1135 pp no matter how much I fiddle with - or + 1 ballasts or ecu revisions , please help or I just wasted a million plus credits !!!
Try switching to automatic transmission. It is much harder and annoying, but it is possible. I am finishing around 22 minutes. You just have to be super careful on the last turn that you don't come out of 4th, it is very annoying. It does seem like rocking the steering joystick L-R-L-R quickly gives me some grab and I can get back into 4th and continue. If I lose it on the first turn, its not worth the time, just restart.

Repost if the auto trans allows you to lower it. I'm on PS4.

It works, but you have to SHIFT manually, cannot let the game shift for you, that's the missing point. Buy Full Racing Transmission, set up the gears, then when you are about to start the race, pause the game, go to driver assists, and choose manual shift. Then, only 4th gear thru 7th gear are the ones used, you can even go full 7th gear if you need more control or traction in the early laps.
ooh that is a good tip, thank you. can't wait to try it. TYVM

yep for less then 24hrs it will be. patch gonna fix the bug promise you that.
Oh, no doubt. At least they might finally fix the broken PP system, it's just sad that it takes a possible dip in their MTX sales to care enough to do anything about it. But oh well, I've made about 15mil off of the exploit in less than 24hr and there are very few cars coming up in the LCD I care to buy anyway. Mclaren F1 GTR, 787B, RX-500, R34 GT500 Pen, maybe the Countach and '92 NSX from UCD and I'm good. Pretty much have the credits to cover them as it is so this definitely served it's purpose for me.

Although I can already see them taking the lazy way out of just placing a tag on all of these races that prevents the Tomahawk from entering rather than fixing how PP is calculated, lol. That'll really piss people off if they pull such a move

I want the Ferrari GTO..but it is so hard for me to run the same race over and over. I need to make 10 million tonight to afford it but do I really want to blow my whole stack on one car?

But the PP system is really broken. On the tomahawk just messing with ballast you will get wild pp swings from one click.

I think they should just give us more of the hp/weight limit races until they get it figured out.

It's clearly a bug, that's why we have the exclamation mark pop up. Someone just so happened to find the right parameters. I'm not mad, there is another hand full of exploit tunes ( not as good as this) but still wicked fast. People are loudmouth morons, PD clearly doesn't read Reddit but they do read here, and in their infinite wisdom, someone decides to make a whole thread with the word EXPLOIT. I have only done five of these races but have about 3.8 million from them.
Just post the damn tune in the tunning thread and let sleeping dogs lay..

Agreed on the weight/HP limit races; too many wonky variables in PP calculation at the moment.

I'm in the same boat with the GTO. I've got the money to buy it, but every time I look at it I talk myself out of it as I don't know if there is much content where it would be worth using. It would fit at the Tokyo race, but I hate that race, lol. If it's REALLY stable and can get up to 650pp it might be decent in the WTC 700 at Sarthe, but I really don't want to spend 20mil to find out if it drives well or not.

It should still be around for 3 days so I'm going to wait and see what else pops up. If the Mclaren F1 GTR, 787B, or Shelby Daytona shows up I'll be waiting for the GTO to roll back around I think.

I lowkey hope they don't nerf the payouts at Tokyo WTC. Fixing the glitch is fine I guess since well, it is a glitch and developers usually fix glitches.

The payout itself is fine . , just 800k for 20 min's is pretty crazy .

Which is why I hope they don't nerf it. Without the glitch it still pays great. It's just the old events that don't pay great.
Someone here said he did the race in 15 min's, that's 4.2 million in an hour. That means in about 40 hours of gameplay you could buy every darn car in the game. What I like about this method is there are 3 races you can do it on pretty much. Sardegna road is my favorite one, Screw tokyo. I'm 4 mins slower with my other special car but it's much more enjoyable and requires no refills.

Tokyo gets boring quite quickly. I had to do it while listening to podcast lol but since it's quick, easy money I guess why not. It's still better than Blue Moon for me.

Script over any manual grinding for me.

But yes, I'd recommend podcast or audiobooks if doing it manually.

Wow, PD has been nice to us? They didn't patch the Tomahawk glitch? Then I might as well try to improve my time on the race. I've been averaging 15:05 and 15:15 (mostly due to penalties) but I know a 14:30 is possible if I'm more brave in the some of the corners and just avoid those 5 sec penalties each time I hit a barrier.

Here's a vid of my best time so far (14:57), where some of you can see, I was very conservative on the 2nd, 4th/5th and 9th corners.

Great run ... you have mastered the Tomahawk for sure

There have been a few laps I've done in some of the runs I've did where in the final 2 laps I set my fuel economy to 1 (max power) and have done laps in the 1:03s, it's as if I'm going back through time (cornering at 470kph)... I really do those corners on instinct, it's impossible to follow racing lines with this car. But... most of the time I get a penalty (or rather, 2 or 3 since I hit the walls multiples times trying to control the car after it hits once, and the "light" mechanical damage it receives also doesn't help sometimes).

With wheel or controller ?
0 Pit RH or RM ?
I'm "farming" with controller, too tiring with wheel.
Best 15.45 so far. Fast left right corner and second last corner are too hard to take full throttle with pad.

Controller.

I had RH tyres whole race, with fuel setting on 6 until the start of the 11th lap (since I had enough fuel to blitz through those 2 laps and get a faster time).

The Fast left/right corners can be taken flatout, I've done it a few times on the video, but was just way too cautious and tried not to risk penalties.

The right hander after you go through the climb, where the road is too narrow, is almost impossible flatout with the 2400hp setup. I could however do it when I had the 1300hp setup, but overall the 2400hp is still faster, but you do need better reactions since you aren't cornering at 370-380, but rather 420-450...

WAT, there is a 2400hp setup for 600pp?
I thought 1300 was the norm.

shout out to the guy who said to take the whole thing in MT and 5th gear. That's what I do, none of that weirdness in gears 1-3 when something goes wrong and you have to stop.

Also Fuel map 6, hard tyres and it's 21min of absolute boredom and i've done it 5 times now haha.

The 1300 is easier to drive and avoid penalties, I was at the end averaging 15:30 with it even with 1 or 2 penalties there.

But the potential you have with the 2400hp setups is definitely greater by a considerable margin (probably 1 minute faster).
