I don't think he likes sharing tunes with others, just posts the times on this forum for bragging rights lol. 🤣
But is it bragging?A fast race time done with wall riding carries no weight really, its like the corner cutting in the daily race. Each to there own,ive done fast laps with wall riding but i wouldnt count them as legit fast laps. With a 22 min wall ridden time and a 24min clean time i know which one impresses me,like i said everyone plays there own way so no argument from me,just my take. 👍

Well, he's posting the fast time for a reason, otherwise one does not need to take a snapshot and post it on a forum.🤣

Yeah i know, each to there own eh.I can see pd putting the 5 sec penaltys back in when they see people having fun and making credits quickly.

The Crown with the SC430 swap is a fun ride for Tokyo (Hard difficulty if that matters).

It's a easy no stopper on FM1, flat out. SH tires. I'm not one to run TCS, but keeping it on 1 helps with corner exits and maintaining the life of the rear tires as it is quite prone to stepping out the rear.

Don't have the tune atm as I'm at work, but can post it if anyone is interested. Was a win by 20sek +/- if I'm not mistaken, but can definetaly be faster with further adjustment to the tune, and in the hands of a quicker driver.

Yeah so this is the difference between legit settings (swapped Cappucino) vs real glitch (swapped Integrale).

So it only works with racing hard tires and you can't switch to intermediate tires (if I am not wrong) and also switching to better brakes than normal also isn't possible so compared to Cappucino (which is fun to drive) this car feels undrivable in legit way (unless it feels better on wheel) and you have to rely on wallriding (not my cup of tea) or be REALLY careful with your inputs.

Also I am curious why ballast positioning 37 is the key in this tune, what is the math behind it that it glitches PP 🤣 because if you change to any other then it won't work.

This is one of my go to grind cars,i can do one stop for fuel and last the race on SH,they are a bit worn on the last lap but theres time to change tyres as well if you want,i dont bother as im quite gentle on tyres. You can add cust suspension but you will need to up the weight or drop the power to make the PP.I added race pads but not rotors, theres only 2 corners to really brake,to be honest for my level of driving this is the best compromise for me.No wall riding needed.
I meant to add,on the sheet torque diff is set at 35/65 but in race i have it at 50/50,it rips out of the corners.

So I've got all the cars (aside from '97 BMW McLaren which I have like 2-months until it comes around again), 98% of CE completed (~60% gold; not ready for that long Rally track and frustration), all the missions (~75% gold) and Licenses (all but 3 gold) completed. I'm not one that has to gold everything (nor do I have the time), so I'll periodically work towards improving one of them here and there.

I have a weird dilemma though and wonder if anyone feels the same. When I turn the game on, I'll sort of stare at the screen wondering what I should do and I'll get the feeling like "do I even want to play?". With the need for credits out of the way, I've been playing events and tracks that I never play and driving as many different cars as possible. When I find a fun race, I'll replay with different cars and when I'm actually racing, I'm having a blast. But as soon as I back out to the main menu, that emptiness feeling hits again.

As I write this I just realized something. When I play an open-world style game (like Farcry or Red Dead) I'll stop before the end of the storyline and try to complete all the side missions and stupid collectable things before finishing the story - because I know once I do finish it, I'll probably never play it again. I guess I need some sort of a goal/progression mechanism to keep me hooked? But that i guess is the dilemma I'm having, I feel like I don't have anything to work towards, but I'm loving the gameplay. I'd jump into sport, but my life doesn't allow me uninterrupted time and concentration needed for a race.

Server Maintenance on 24ᵗʰ, say goodbye to them glitched tunes. 🤣
They've missed a few on the last updates. The good news is this race is winnable with so many different tunes.
I do all of my own tuning, but I've looked to see what the more well known tuners are doing. I used my own numbers and experimented, finding that some awful understeer I had on acceleration was corrected by raising the ride height a little in front and a lot in the back. My average speed through the twisty parts here increased by 10-15 MPH but I'm still trying to nail down an exact adjustment and cornering speeds.
I'm running 26-27 minutes for the race and wall riding isn't my thing, so there are definitely faster tunes and strategies out there.
Personally I think removing penalties altogether was a mistake. I think there should be an option to add them into any non campaign World Event, and also into World Events you've already completed. It could come with increased payouts, too.

I'm exactly the same with games, need a goal, even if it's an arbitrary one I set myself.
Maybe try ranking cars on a track you like. Test all cars in stock form, get a lap time and rate them on how you enjoy driving them?
Or ranking the Gr.3 cars etc.
Picking a race you like and finding the lowest pp car you can win with.
Going through every car you own and finding a race to win with it.

I have a spreadsheet with every race on it with columns for times, prize money, credits/hour etc. I'm going though all the races, finding an optimum car for it, trying to use cars as stock as possible, sticking as close as I can to the spirit of the cars intended for it.

Have you got into tuning? Testing and tweaking the tuning of cars seems like something that could really give you a lot to do if you fancy it. I don't have the time myself but it's a whole new area of the game. Can you improve your favourite cars?? Can you make a horrible car nice to drive??

Anyone tried the Hyundai Genesis Coupe? Got a tune to share? I've built a car that's close to being able to challenge for the win but it keeps losing the rear end in the turns...

I like these two ideas A LOT. Especially the second one - start with MFG and find a race for each car. That could eat up some time.

I love data and I love spreadsheets - BUT - I'm terrible at being consistent with follow-through lol. Especially because I'm a fairly big stoner and I tend to smoke the most after putting kids down to sleep and 50% of the time I play is later at night. If only there were a way (without programming knowledge) to be able to scrape data.

I really appreciate the suggestions! I'll make my own arbitrary goals so I have something to "complete" - sort of like collecting all the cars when there isn't a prize or even a damn message congratulating you lol.

You should start an "Arbitrary Custom Goals" thread, see what other suggestions people have 😂

My personal one is, similar to the suggestion by @floydant , testing out different cars (Favourites in Garage) for all the events over the world map, trying to see which cars I enjoy to win the AI races. I'll start with Stock settings and gradually look for tuning options in the community, changing as little as possible to see by how small a margin I can win the race.

Then, for record-keeping purposes I'll save the Settings Sheet as the name of the race i won.

Rinse and repeat.

NB; the only bummer is the payouts, but in terms of rinsing game content, I can't think of anything better.

the only bummer is the payouts
That's the funny part still! I have enough credits to buy the BMW McLaren when it comes back around the LCD plus a large buffer, so I don't have any need for credits. Yet, it feels less rewarding than doing one of the grind races and getting $825k, even though I've done them hundreds of times. It's easy enough to ignore the payout being miniscule but it still feels "less" at the end of the session.
