You probably missed something, make sure the settings are exactly as it's shown in the post, actually, go to the previous page here and someone posted an even better setup with the car at full power.

1:30 on lap 1 and 1:09 on lap 2 are actually very fast times, in fact 1.09 is really hard on lap 2 since the track is still a bit wet.

You won't be doing anywhere near 1:06 on lap 3 because of the massive traffic, at this point the AI cars are still too close together and if you did lap 1 and lap 2 "fast" you will encounter them on the 1st corner.

I'm going to try a different strategy, going 100% (which eventually means I run out of fuel) but with 1 pitstop in the middle. i think the time lost in the pits is about 20 seconds? But with fuel economy on 1 I can get easily 3-4 seconds per lap quicker, which will compensate for the pitstop.

And will also try the new full power setup.

Getting the Tomahawk usable is impossible. All settings as others have posted but way over the PP for me. Doing La Sartha (550000 race) with a F430 and winning 825000 in half hour does me. Much more enjoyable imo than the Tokyo circuits. No tinkering needed, just wet tyres and low fuel map. Pit every 2 laps and win by a minute

Made a video for those who are still having trouble setting up the gears. I replicated it a few times on new sheets and, as of the time of posting this, it still works.

Not sure if it's necessary to go from setting up 4th gear to 1st and work up from there, but when I helped a few friends I found out that it works 100% of the times.
Once you're done it's just a matter of changing the power and wheels and you're set.

Anyone got any tips on driving this thing? The issue that I'm having is how quickly it goes from turning just a bit to turning hard. It's not an issue on the bigger turns where you actually have to turn, but it's the smaller turns on the back side of the track where you have to adjust just a little bit that give me trouble. How do you keep the car from slingshotting into a wall when you need to turn just a bit?

Anyone found a middle-ground between the two tunes, something like 1875bhp with race mediums or hards? I've been trying for an hour and the best I could get was about 1550bhp but only on softs which wasn't really a noticeable performance gain over the original since the tires were so shot by lap 10 that I was losing all the time I'd gained back to sliding off the line

The 2500+bhp tune is just way too much for me, even on FM 6, to the point where I'm running 30-45sec slower than on the original 1350bhp tune due to all the penalties I rack up. I think it's the suspension height affecting turn-in that I'm having such a hard time adjusting to. I can occasionally run 1:15's, 3 sec quicker than my previous best laps, but I'm getting like one a race at that pace as opposed to 6-8 that are 1:18-1:19, and averaging 1:26 instead of 1:23.

My best so far.

Thanks? lol. 1:06's IIRC starts after the first traffic lap. I'll try to do one clean run and post a video but I get bored and start pushing.

I think it has a lot to do with your driving inputs.

It's not impossible, you just haven't tinkered with it enough. After setting each gear re-calculate, maybe even exit the tuning page and come back in. Buy intermediates after getting the gears set exactly, put them on/take them off, re-calculate each time. Then add hards, re-calculate. Add ballast if that doesn't work. If you mess with it long enough, it will work. I even accidentally erased the tuning page and had to do it from scratch today and you can still set it up after 1.12. All about playing with variables, re-calculating, then re-trying what is known to work.

Really nice time there mate.

I'm surprised your fastest lap is "only" a 1:07, but that just means you have been very consistent every lap and traffic was also nice to you as well.

Did you do it with the Full power Tomahawk, the 2400hp Tomahawk or the 1300hp setup?

I tried the Full Power and it just doesn't do it for me, the high front suspension makes it less capable in the twisty parts of the track. And today is another today full of penalties, the good thing is that even with penalties I still get a ~15 minute race, but I just can't avoid trying to outdo myself after doing this over and over...

EDIt: BTW, wheel or controller? Just for reference.

Lap 4 on another run, driving slow because I was tired of penalties (then I did it again)

And this is one of my worst runs (hit the wall and damaged nearly every corner) but look at the theoritical best time, 1:02.6

I have a video if my first lap if anyone wants it. The trick is hugging the inside of turns 1 and 2, lift before entry of the left-right chicane (accelerate right after the apex of the RHS apex). For the fast right hander before the hairpin, start wide, lift and get an early apex and try not to hit the wall outside. For the hairpin brake at 200m in a straight line down to 4th gear, clip the painted kerbs then accelerate in 6th gear for max traction. From lap 2 it's pretty dry so minimal lifting. Lap 3 is flat out. I pit at the end of lap 9 for soft and 4 lap fuel, then finally turn up mixture to 4 (from 6 the whole race prior).

I must be autistic or something because I can't force myself to drive slow, even if it means an extra 800k per hour. I keep trying to do qualifying laps and hitting the wall.

Nice effort there mate.

And yes, the trick to the first and 2nd corners, the two first right handers it to turn early and hug the inside, but it's still two slow corners on the first lap.

The left-right part, can actually be flatout even on the first lap... But I don't recomend anyone trying. You get it right 1 out of 10x... It's a very specific line that it's just impossible to nail right every time (again, on the 1st lap only).
So yeah, it's just better to lift as you said.

And again, you got it pretty much correctly, brake at the 200m in a straight line until you reach about 40-50 kph on 4th gear and on the exit, put it in 6th or 7th and start slowly putting the throttle down but not at 100% otherwise the car will easily slide.

I myself just cannot drive slower either. But even with the penalties, as I said, I still get well below 16 minutes, most of the time 15:00-15:15 depending on the number of penalties, this is still close to 3.3 million per hour.

I realized you can pit 2nd lap on put on intermediates. The tires dont last long tho, I got up to lap 9 or was it 10? Top up on the first pit stop when putting on intermediates and you wont need a refill. This is driving on fuel map 6.

bro delete this before PD sees, whats wrong with you

you can make the build with inters, then switch racing meds in a pitstop around lap 4-5, or do racing hards the whole way. personally i could not get the pp system to work with hard but with inters it worked for me
Same, if it gets patched; some of us like myself will lose a credit farming method, I'd rather see this deleted. I don't want PD seeing this.

Because of the quote you quoted, I now start the race with intermediates. Thank you!!!

I used 2300 ish hp with full fuel save mode. 2400 hp cant finish the race unless you shift so early or you need to pit in. Used Sport softs. Never pitted in. Ds4 controller.

So basically what you mean is the only way to fix it is being lighter on the controls? No tunes that can help out?
Yes I was having the same problem as you even using my wheel I was using too sharp inputs, with less sharp inputs will solve the problem with better cornering with the Tomahawk X at speed.

Just over 18 minutes with no pitstops, and only using 7th gear and on lean fuel 1.

youre welcome bro
Thanks btw.

If you want to race the Tomahawk with full power and with either Intermediates, Racing Hards or Racing Softs use these settings that I Found.

Gears to use for all 3 settings

Were you able to get the Sports Hard on the tomahawk? Trying to use those tires so I dont have to swap out during race. Want to do 12 laps with no pit.
Edit: nvm I figured it out

You can use the Racing Hard without pitting

Best setup for both tokyo and la Sarthe is Peugeot 908 hdi
Detuned to 435pp
Fuel map needs adjusting for la Sarthe
Tokyo - all race on fuel map 1
Race hard tyres
No pit stop
Settings in the video.

It's a great setup, will probably try it when Tomahawk gets nerfed. But why detune it to 435 pp

We all know that pp system is broken.
I spent some time tinkering with the settings and this is by far the best.
1 click makes it jump to like 880pp so 435 is great.
My last setup was around 687pp and with usable 6th gear only.

Just curious...any other chase cam drivers do this, 18:04.1, but lots of time still to be gained...
I'm not aware of anyone using chase cam in a sim tbh. Only people who don't even know what a "racing line" is. Switch to bonnet cam for more precise driving. Might feel weird in the beginning but you get to see all of the track, make use of it look where you want to go and not where the car is.

So its a glitch tune, not a legit one?Its good all the same but they will prob fix the pp issue with the next,or maybe later update, according to their notes.
