Crysis 3

Incredible how Crytek keep pushing the boundaries with their Crysis games. I can hardly wait to see what kind of graphics we will see on systems that can run this game maxed out.

What prices have you guys found on Crysis 3 for PC?

Cheapest one i've currently found is 248 NOK/ £27.6, and that's for Crysis 3 Hunter Edition.
Free shipping.

^ Just a second 680? :D

I am really looking forward to playing this one. I am a big fan of anything Crytek! They have set the bar twice before, and it looks like this one will be no exception!

I am taking the week of Feb 19th off by the way. Just putting in my time now. :)

You know, building PCs seems like somethung that could become a hobby - more than actually building one for the purpose of it :D I easily become addicted to stuff where my OCD can kick in ;)

But yeah, I still remember how people went "OMG!" over the original Far Cry and all the attention the first Crysis got. Both games were exceptionally good looking and, in my opinion, also had great gameplay (compared to most other shooters, which seems far more linear in how you can clean an area).

If it will have great gunplay, stunning graphics and cool aliens then I bet I will love the game because that's all it takes :)

Have you read crysis 3 pc minimum requirements?

Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
DirectX 11 graphics card with 1Gb Video RAM
Dual core CPU
2GB Memory (3GB on Vista)
Nvidia/Intel example setup: Nvidia GTS 450, Intel Core2 Duo 2.4 Ghz (E6600)
AMD example setup: AMD Radeon HD5770, AMD Athlon64 X2 2.7 Ghz (5200+)

Unfortunately my computer is too weak for that...

Played the beta on the 360 and I am hugely Disapointed with the graphics, for me crysis 2 looks better at this stage. Here's hoping they improve them a lot before release, although it worries me that there has been a severe lack of console footage.

I just gave the beta a run on the PC. There is a weird SLI problem. I run triple screens with 2 670s and was getting about 10FPS on maxed settings. That is everything maxed including AA. I switched to a single screen and it won't use sli. Only one card is getting usage. It could though max it out at lower AA settings.

The game isn't all that great looking. No where near BF3 even graphics and not even close to witcher 2. It's kind of grainy and dull looking. The videos I've watched looked much, much better then the game does. This was with maxed out everything including AA. I was getting around 20-30 FPS with sli not working with one screen.

It does support triple screen though and uses both cards for that. To run triples though at any decent settings you are going to have to have the mega gaming PC. I have sli 4gb 670's and with no AA and all high settings I am getting around 20-25 FPS on triples.
In all honesty though the way the game looks you should easily max it out with a single 670 on triples.
On a single it I should be able to max it if my SLI would work on a single screen.

Really dissapointed though. I was expecting it to look much better then it does after seeing the early videos of it. Maybe the single player is a different story, but the multiplayer graphics are no where near BF3 or Far cry 3. I won't be buying it.

You know after playing it again for a minute, I'm not going to say it doesn't look great, it actually looks bad for a AAA game. I'm really surprised they would hype it up like that, and then release it looking like this. They shouldn't have released this beta. It is going to cost them a ton of money.

I got my second card to work with a single screen. Had to put the beta in inspector to get it to work. I can now max it out with everything including AA and it still doesn't impress. The AA is really bad. Alot of jaggies and shimmering even with 8xmsaa.

You need to update your drivers; nvidia released a driver yesterday or the day before that increased sli performance by 65% in Crysis 3. And of course you're going to have to have a monstrous pc to handle crysis 3 on three screens.... The best single gpu cards can't even achieve 60 fps at max settings without an overclock on one screen...

Some of the multiplayer elements are going to have slightly lower detail than single player simply because singleplayer is why this game exists.

Not exactly sure what game you are looking at.... but Crysis 3 is gorgeous.
