How long would you like to race the CRZ's

The best way of tuning an open PP car like this is basically give it everything then add weight/ take off power to get your prefered ballance ;).

I will MAYBE make the race. I will let u know later tonight with the car choice as well. 👍

I took the Spoon purely because the standard is ok but I like to be able to tune my Fwds to my overly sideways liking :sly:. (And it looks better in Pirtek :P.)

But im sure the standard Cr-z is fine stock ;).

The Honda cr-z is easy to control and all you can change is the brake balance, so there is no need to find a tune.
The Spoon cr-z however has an abundance of choices. All performance parts installed will give you around 15-20pp over the limit so there is options as to what level you tune, eg: full weight reduction instead of max power.
Then you will still need to find a tune that works well for yourself. The car I have been testing with is still a little understeery and would need to be adjusted if I was planning on racing it.

For anyone just wanting to jump in and go the Honda is the easier option as the car is assured of being on par with everyone.

Good info.

Thanks! 👍

Amkuq nice to see you want to give this a go but you do realise this clashes with Furis WSC (Which you are defending champ in).

Be nice to see you in the race but I think you may have overlooked that. :nervous:

Ah doesn't matter, WSM ain't the same since he took off the heavy damage.:ouch:

Cool, then I look forward to seeing you on track :). (albeit in different classes ;))

I don't have time for tuning so I'll sign up for the standard CR-Z class.

w-g-e / GTP_w-g-e / Dutch / Honda CR-Z '10 / Passionate Pink / Yellow

If everything goes right I will have a wheel to race with... but how many times did I say that already..?

Oh 🤬 the Honda CR-Z guys are doomed now :P.

Also I notcied the strong draft setting as WRP said it may be ok but for the Spoons I rekon it will be too much as they have at minimum weight around 220bhp+. So id vote weak for the sake of the Spoons but we will see if we do any practise rooms ;).

After more testing with Jon (gtp-jtv) we found the slipstream on strong didnt work well at all with the spoon and could cause a few problems. We ran the standards on weak and still found clean opportunites to pass. So weak it is.

Zorrin/DitQuois/Standard CR-Z/British Expat/Matte Light Pink (or something equally offensive and obnoxiously bright)/ Something that clashes with the body of the car.
akmuq / GTP_akmuq / Ireland / Honda CRZ'10 / TBD/ TBD
w-g-e / GTP_w-g-e / Dutch / Honda CR-Z '10 / Passionate Pink / Yellow

Thanks all for signing up
@Wes I hope you get your wheel sorted soon 👍

Thats 5 definates for the Honda CRZ, 6 including me but I will drive the spoon if we get to 8 for the Honda CRZ.

I hope to get 8 Spoons and 8 Honda CRZ in the room but one or two diffrence wont matter that much.

You sure a race in a game you can do repeated times. An exam could be once in a lifetime chance.

Yeh I am sure. I am pretty confident with this exam and I have all of monday with revision classes from teacher for 3 hours and all morning to revise on tuesday as its an afternoon one. 1 and a half hours is nothing seriously.

Ok 👍. Look forward to racing with you, have fun

Might get a room up in the next 20-30 minutes for a little play around if anybodys interested. Will post room number.

EDIT: Room up - 1472 - 6118 - 3744 - 3750 - 3234

Should be up for an hour or so. Only running a few laps to get to grips with it.

I would of but im about to make Bob poop himself by putting him in a new CRZ in the indy 500, just to double check the bhp after a couple of bhp difference between me and Jon last night.

Seeing how there are lots of Hondas, ill go for the Spoon come 20th May. :D Count me in. Ill post the color up later.

I will go with the standard white for my colour. Or do I have to use a dark colour?

Coming on now to test with you.

The colours are mainly to tell the difference of the cars in your mirrors, with the spoon having the black hood it should be ok

When you pit, why does the battery sometimes it doesn't recharge and then sometimes it does; does it depend on fuel consumption?

These hybrids are strange beings for me. :dunce:

Lol mine's never charged when i've pitted. Good tip find out how to re charge the hybrids in the pits.

Just some info for everyone, Joshua and I are running at low-mid 1:47s. Could get into the mid-high 1:46s with more practice and fine tuning. *Spoon CR-Z*

I never got a re-charge till after 20+ laps.....just fuel prior to that....and the charge was for only 3 marks.

Managed to break into the low 46's. 45's are easily possible, just need to know the braking points more.

A point w-g-e came up with is that the Honda's seem a little slow, especially if they're racing alone. Any possibility they can be upgraded a little?

Room should still be up too. Should be about 3 guys in there or so.

I'm happy with a 15-20 second or even more difference between the cars, in the WSM last season the difference between the cars was massive, on an almost all flat-out created track, I was pole with 1:06, Alfa Zagato pole was 1:25, which is nearly 30% difference in speed.

I guess I'm a little slow on the registration; if it's already full, but me on the reserve list, Hass.

The battery will not be recharged from pitting, what recharges it is braking. It's fundamentally the same as F1's KERS. Except, you have no control as to when the energy is released.

Any time you are braking charge is going back into the battery. Not sure about off throttle - the charge indicator shows charging but there isn't really any energy to use, so when off throttle probably best to assume that it's not charging but not depleting it either.
