So far - evidence of water, and some sparkly stuff.

Definitely signs of picnicking, at the very least, and by litterbugs, too. Unless the sparkly stuff belongs to something we sent up there.
 
Maybe closer to the Utah deserts. I live in the Arizona desert but it's not nearly the same as the above photo.

In regards to this particular picture, I agree with you. But the red sand in other photos reminds me more of Arizona than Utah. Still, you know better than I.

The only real red rock area that I know of in AZ is the Sedona area. I mentioned southern Utah because it's pretty much all red. Spent much time in and around the Moab area each year. One of my favorite places. 👍

I told you that you knew better that I did. 👍 As a Californian, everything in Arizona looks red to me, but that's probably just a perception thing.
 
I wouldn't doubt that there is. You probably just have to dig deep enough to find it. Excited for the announcement though!
