Lotus Carlton and the new Clio V6.

Man, I gotta agree with you on the Clio (aka Lutecia), especially a mildly tuned Phase 2 version. I drove that car in the Clio cup, and could not believe the things it could do on Deep Forest. I've never taken the final turn to the front straightaway the way that car does it. Truly a point-and-shoot car, just lift to get it to rotate, and when it is pointing where you want to go, just mash the gas and the car plants itself and takes off. I liked the car well enough in GT3 to name my cat Clio, but I had forgotten just how good the car is.

The Ford GT LM Spec II is an amazing beast as well. Much better behaved than the other versions of the car (and I have all of them in my garage)

i haven't got the game yet because the europeans speak too many languages but i think i my favorite would have to be the Dodge charger 440 r/t, holden Monaro , FPV F6 Typhoon or BMW M3 CSL.

i wish polyphony digital would put more Australian cars in like the 420kw HRT427c
and HSVs. and some older aussie cars like the HR monaro and phase 3 GTHO or A9X torana would be nice.

GT4 is going to be AWESOME!!!

Hey! I've done extensive testing around the Nurburgring with the Commodore SS, FPV GT and the FPV Typhoon, currently I'm laping them in the high 8:20's with N2 tires and there is potential for at least the SS and the GT to lap under 8:20 if someone who knew the track better or in fact was a better driver was doing the steering : ) because I am making like 5 seconds of mistakes even on my best laps. I havn't tried the Monaro yet but I have one in the garage (I assume it's the same as the SS).

What I do is take the GT out for a run against my current lap record ghost from the Commodore. It's really hard to keep up with the SS through the first section of the track because it's so twisty and the SS is much lighter and more "racey" but once you get into the faster sections of the track you can pull him in and get past. I keep doing this untill I beat the SS. Then I go back into my garage and get the SS out and race against the GT Ghost : ). Usually what happens then is I am so used to driving the big heavy GT that I totally leave it for dead in the SS and set a new lap record on the first drive. So then I go back and get the GT out :P etc etc. It's pretty good fun, they are both in the very few best handling cars in the game. The Typhoon is good also but it just doesn't *quite* have the potential of the GT and the SS, doesn't sound mean like the GT either :D. By the way what's a HR Monaro : ) HT in a typo ?

In the end I want to have a collection of all the worlds best sedans and wagons that can cut a sub 8:30 around the ring with me driving and N2 tires. I'm not sure how many cars in the game would qualify for that but the Commdore SS, Ford GT and Typhoon can all do it. Other cars I've tried driving hard around the ring are the RUF Yellowbird but it's just beyond me, the BMW M3 is pretty twitchy but it's not too hard to drive and pretty fast but I havn't tried it up against the Commdore yet to see which one is faster maybe I'll do that tonight

as i don't have the game i can't say exactly, but the cars i'm looking forward to are:

in no particular order:
Amuse Skyline GT-R Carbon-R (this thing looks like a beast, and as a Skyline, it should tune like a god)
05 BWM M5 (i fell in love with them the first time i saw the spec-sheet, 7 speed here i come)
05 Ford GT (it looks like the big brother to the Ferrari 250GTO, and its one of the most capable supercars on the planet)
96 Nissan S14 (for a mid-range sports car, it outdoes its direct competitors and is one hell of a mean lookin car)
70 Skyline 2000GT-R (this first GT-R, proof that with the GT-Rs, Nissan knew what it was setting out to do from day 1)
02 Saleen S7 (stunningly gorgeous, amazing performance, what more can i say?)

ford falcon GT. the successor to the greatest muscle car of all the phse 3 ford falcon GTHO
"shaker". that V8 engine note is so rich you could cut a slice and eat it with ice cream.

My favorite GT4 car is... all of 'em. Well, a lot of them. There are some cars that are so beautiful that I don't even drive them, such as the 69 Camaro Z/28, and then there are cars that are so fun that I drive them all the time like the Supra twin turbo R.

And don't ask me why I don't drive the camaro. Maybe because I don't want to get bored of such an incredible car, whereas the supra will never be a boring ride.

Yet no GT ever beat a Monaro at Bathurst, The XR was racing against HR's X2's 6's (unfair match up) and they twice beat the 6 Cylinder Torana's once the LC and once the LJ (that was a fluke cause Brocks co driver ran out of fuel). Ford Australia allways had the same problem they have right now, too much weight to be a good race car. It's a real pity there are no HSV Commodores in GT4 because the FPV GT wouldn't see which way they went since it's struggling to keep up with a cheap stock SS : ) suppose I could add 50 or 60 hp to the SS to simulate one. When the Hybrid scene gets going, I'm going to put the Buick GNX motor in the Commodore and remove the turbo and 200 kg's so I can have a something very close to a VS V6

The TVR T350C is possibly my runner up. Who would have thought that TVR would be able to turn the unsightly Tamora into a cohesive thing of beauty… Standard gearing to 250 KMs is a bit of a turn off, as I am not fond of modifying my acquisitions.

Alpine green is Samberto’s colour of choice. See below
Cool! Thanks Samberto! 👍 👍

I can't believe non of you said the Spoon Integra Type-R. This has been my favorite car since GT2. It features some of the best things about Integras. It has no wing, carbon hood, and its a Type-R. This will be the only car I drive once I get my hands on it. Photomode is gonna be filled with pictures of only this car.

Not in any order:

1. 2005 Ford GT LM Spec II (hell any of the Ford GT's will do)
2. Ford Falcon GT
3. Saleen S7
4. Cobra 427
5. 1965 Shelby GT350-R
6. 2000 Mustang SVT Cobra-R
7. 2005 Ford Mustang GT

The Ford RS200 (I think it was) looks pretty sporty too :P

Amuse S2000 GT1, the best combination of looks ( gorgeous! ), power, handling and boy does it scream!

I also like the TVR T350C, the NSX Type-R, M3 CSL

Did you notice how the TVR T350C is always in the front of the AI cars when it races, That's an awesome car, I like the Carbon R and the Toyota 7, Very awesome cars!!! 👍

Yup I also like the Toyota 7. Basically I like RWD lightweight ( <1200-1300kg ) with a decent punch and neutral to gentle oversteer handling. I also like the Elise 111R. Why isn't the Exige in the game?? =( I prefer the 111R to the motorsport elise.

Have you got Ford stamped on your bones too :) ?

I am looking forward to whuppin' everyone in that nice, heavy Charger R/T; I've messed with the 427 Cobra long enough to predict what it will drive like. :mischievous:

Out of all the cars in GT4 ill have 2 faves

Aston Martin DB9 and the Pagani Zonda LM Race Car

When i get these on the game maybe i will use them occasionally but just looking at these 2 beautiful cars is enough!

My most used car will probably be one of the RS200's I love the look of that car and before the top spec rally cars got banned it was a supurb car!

(droooooooooooooool) LOOK AT THAT DROP!!! And what's up with it looking cell shaded??

I'l sure I'll love the Muscle Cars, but also most of the LM prototypes.
I love them, even though this year will be my first time seeing them for real at Le Mans.
As my most used rides, I think I'll get my hands on RX7, Silvias and other compact sport cars (European and Japanese).
I'll confirm when the game gets released in PAL ;)

i just can't wait to get all of them le mans cars on la sarthe i just can't wait any longer i'm going potty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this may sound kinda obvious, but the Lancer Evolution VI RS is the car im lovin now, same as i did in GT3. Also havin fun with my March G#. totaly suped up, rims, lowered, +NOS. fun to see that thing fly around the track at 200km/h concidering what it used to do. :dopey:

I think PD got it right in their description of BMW, all their cars are really fun to drive. The M3s especially are very forgiving. You can slide them around turns or brake early and power through and it never feels like its about to spin out or anything. I don't know if they messed up with their physics or if M3s really handle that good, but either way they're fun as hell to drive. I like the scratchy-sounding engine note too that the BMWs (especially the 1 Series car, I forget the number) have too, for some reason.
