Mine's probably going to be the RUF RGT, just like in GT3. It might not be the most insanely quick car in the world, but that machine grips like hell accelerating out of corners :) also the handling is really nicely balanced.
Sounds real nice as well :dopey:

Other than that I'm probably gonna fall in love with the 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II and 300SL Gullwing :dopey: Ooooh damn those are nice looking cars...

Hey, did you fix up the RUF RGT? I forgot if mine was stock or slightly tuned, but when I'm driving, I can't hear the exhaust AT ALL in the first person view. In the other views, I can hear it though. I tried making a new thread about this, but I guess the moderators didn't think it was necessary. Yet there's always threads about questions that's been asked a million times haha. But yea, thought that was weird.

I don't have GT4 yet... but looking al of your images and thinking to GT3, my favourite car still remain
Toyota GT One for Race cars, and
Toyota Sprinter Trueno for Road cars.

I'm going straight for the 4th generation Prelude VTEC.

One of the most under-rated FF cars on the market, not to mention the game.

The version featured in sold in the Japan - the difference from its US counterpart being the addition of limited slip, raised compression, and an optional (rather then standard) sunroof.

The car makes use of hondas brute 4 cylinder, the 2.2L DOHC VTEC H22A. The drivetrain delivers 200 horsepower and a flat, meaty torque curve through a limted slip differential and a 4.27 final drive. Though a heavy motor, the block leans back over the axle to within inches of the firewall, unlike the RSX and integra B-series motors which are tilted foward toward the radiator. The suspension is double-wishbone front and rear, with reduced bumpsteer in the rear when again compared to the integra chassis.

Acceleration tests result in segment-leading performance, even in today's market, with 1/4 mile times reported by major automotive publications traditionally in the 15.0-15.1 range, with a trap speed of 93 mph.

The 4th generation prelude has a rich racing history, with a dominating performance in the Motorola Cup, which is now known as the Speed World Challenge. (When the prelude was eligible). The prelude finished is eligible professional racing career by being "classed-out" of competition when it was decided the car should run with Camaros, M3's, Supras, etc.

The basic chassis of the 4th generation prelude doesn't go along with todays newer, taller, skinner coupes - when in production, there was room in the market for a low, wide, high-end FF coupe that could run circles around most of the competition.

The prelude responds very well to mods. An H22 with a custom made header, intake, race exhaust (no muffler or cat...), and no power steering showed a 30 horsepower increase, dyno proven, at the wheels.

Recently, the JUN Lemon 4th generation prelude when up against some stiff competition in Best Motoring shootout:

- Jun Auto Prelude
- NER S13 Nissan Silvia Q's 4
- Phase C17 Accord
- J's Racing S2000
- Central 20 Fairlady Z33
- Honda Amuse S2000

All the driver's were poking fun at the prelude before hand, saying "its not a real car" & "its a good car to take a date out on but thats it"... well, after they got behind the wheel, they were all shocked at the lap times and had nothing but awesome things to say about it - don't have the lap times handy but if I remember correctly, it beat just about everything that showed up.

and if for no other reason: my old car :)

My homie :) lol.

Yes I too owned a 4th Gen prelude VTEC for my first model and it did me right, it worked out too good. I loved it.

And you do remember correctly, however the Amuse S2K did beat out the lap time of the Super Lemon Jun Prelude by a few seconds, two if I remember correctly.

I REALLY wish the Jun Prelude would have been in GT4...that would have made my day and then some :(

Nice Car, as always, you know I love it, lol....can't wait till I fix mine...once again....

Ah...another Mini fan. The good ole 98 1.3i is in the game again. I thought we were getting an older example also... must be hidden somewhere as a prize car cause I haven't found it yet (Japanese release). The Mini Marcos - gotta get that also.

The GNX is pretty fun, but in stock form it's about as agile as a milk truck. I would imagine that with some tuning it could be a competent racer.

"is the M3 CSL. The giant killer"

Dude, you're kidding right? The M3 CSL isn't exactly "affordable" nor battling with a disadvantage. I don't fight the fact that it's an awesome car, but jeezus...they took an M3 for christ sakes...but a carbon fiber roof on it... some other mods... and you're callin it a giant killer? The Mini was a giant killer. Anything already big and giant like can't be a giant killer. :)

 THE BLACK GT-ONE TS020.

Gotta love the the black F1 but the GT-One is one sexy beast... 👍

*chorus sings: "BATMAN!"* da da da da da da da da "BATMAN!" ..... :D

My two favorite cars in real life and have been in every GT thus far..
1991 Barbados Yellow Honda CRX Si
1995 Toyota MR2 Turbo

I will obtain both of those cars in the future, and they will be my children..
as for now, why doesn't GT ever have my 1995 Civic EX Coupe? It has the sedans..

As for a car I haven't driven in GT yet, I'd like to whip the Mazdaspeed Atenza (mazda 3 here in the US) around Nurburgring..

I haven't really got end to the high end cars yet, I have them I just don't use them, Yet! My favs for now are the Maxi Turbo and the BMW 2002, These Lil puppies really scream!👍

Favourite? Favourites more like!!

A car I seem to be using to gain a cash influx is the BMW 320i Touring Car. I have upgraded the turbo so that it now has 348 HP and it is just a nice drive. Reasonable brakes and decnet handling.

Aby Lancer gets my vote. For some reason the brakes on them seem to be a lot better than the contemporary Impreza. I just managed to pick up another low mileage (10 km) Evo I which did a substitution for the BM. I'll maybe tune it a bit if necessary. Even the brakes on that are good.

i was just wondering if anyone noticed that there are more skylines in the game than all of the cars from the major american manufactures combined?

Change the audio to mono.

I gave the RUF RGT another test drive and just noticed that if I just use the TV volume, then I can barely hear the exhaust. But if I use my speakers connected to my main receiver, I can hear it nice and clear. This only happens on the RUF .. weird.

If the exhaust note on the RGT is quite bass heavy that would explain it.

TV speakers can rarely produce good bass tones, using a seperate set of speakers will normally open up the range of bass tones.

For the best effect, go full surround sound with a nice big sub.

I can't wait to drive the Focus ST170 and the Focus RS the most. Also looking forward to pretty much all the VW's (especially the Rabbit GTI), SRT-4, all the muscle cars, the new Mustang, the Iroc Z. I could go on forever. Only a cpl more weeks guys :) 👍

i haven't got the game yet because the europeans speak too many languages but i think i my favorite would have to be the Dodge charger 440 r/t, holden Monaro , FPV F6 Typhoon or BMW M3 CSL.

i wish polyphony digital would put more Australian cars in like the 420kw HRT427c
and HSVs. and some older aussie cars like the HR monaro and phase 3 GTHO or A9X torana would be nice.

GT4 is going to be AWESOME!!!

I think everyone is missing the fact that one of the best cars in GT3 is in GT4! A very overlooked car, the ZZII. Fantastic speed, handling, acceleration etc. I can get under 1 minute on midfield with this car!! I know formula 1 and the GT-One etc will beat it, but this car is the mutts nuts! 👍

Yeah, the RGT exhaust note is kind of deep - that might explain it. I should try it on other cars with deep sounding exhausts. But yeah, I only use just the TV volume when playing late at night so I don't disturb my family members :D

Yeah, I love the Tommy Kaira ZZII. Quick acceleration, great top end, and even better handling. One of my favorites :D
