Damn, well this is great news but I wonder when they'll let us know exactly what countries will be "phased in" first, or in what order. I know they've already said Japan's the priority so I'd reckon it'll be Europe next, then the rest of Us.

Sony Computer Entertainment introduces increased security measures ahead of PSN service restoration.

Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) and Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI, the company) will today begin a phased restoration by region of PlayStation Network and Qriocity services. The phased restoration will be on a country by country basis beginning in the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.

The first phase of restored services for North America and Europe will include:

Sign-in for PlayStation Network and Qriocity services, including the resetting of passwords.
Restoration of online gameplay across PlayStation 3 and PSP.
Playback rental video content, if within rental period, of PlayStation Store Video Store on PS3, PSP and Media Go.
Q Music Unlimited, for current subscribers, on PS3 and PC.
Access to third party services such as VidZone and MUBI.
'Friends' category on PS3, including Friends List, Chat Functionality, Trophy Comparison, etc.
PlayStation Home.

You don't click the map, the image IS the map. I have a feeling they will just be updating the image as services are restored.

Sorry, I'm only able to link to the psn blog for my region, if you simply google Playstation blog, you should be able to view your own regions map (at least that's my guess.

Sorry already done that and no we don't have a map. Oh well at least I can keep looking at the America one and see how quickly it is coming online. I guess no one else will get it until everyone in America gets it anyways.... And if they have a map it means at least another week probably more for us. If it was going to be days they wouldn't need a map? Maybe, maybe not.

once the server comes up for your state you log in you will get that option to change your pw. thats what patrick seybold told me
