I think you're in 4th, because HMS has a 3rd as best result. But thats just me thinking out loud. :dopey:
I'll go with that (not just because it means I'll be running less ballast!):sly:
one thing I think does need to be cleared up before the next round, how much is it acceptable to cut chicanes? It might not be as much of an issue at Suzuka as it was at Nurb but I think it would be worth setting some ground rules for circuits where chicanes can be straightlined just so everyone's working to the same rules.

From OLR

B: Two wheels (except when airborne, where the vertical projection of the car onto the track counts) must be in contact with the track/circuit which includes the rumble strips and footpaths, but not grassed areas.

ok, that covers the majority of corners perfectly, but taking the chicane at the end of nurb as an example (although off the top of my head this is going to apply to monza and deep forest at least as well), the right hand part of it has a concrete area inside the rumble strip, are we allowed to use that? That was more the kind of scenario I would like clarifying

In WSGTC we consider the red and white part as the last bit of track, so if you go more than that it's considered dirty.

now I'd agree with that, can't say that rule was being applied last night though, maybe something that can be enforced from now on?

although I would like to see the pictures of me using other people to get round corners? I honestly don't remember it happening??????

Just because you asked:

Round 1 - Turn 1 - Into your team mate:

Round 2 - Lap 1 - Into me:

Still the same lap:

You remember now?? ;)

If you're talking about me it's because someone pushed the blocks into the middle of the tracks, this has been discussed already...

Round 1 Turn 1, Brad admitted it was his fault for turning in on me, trying not give up his position to one of the other lads :)

The others, I didnt think much of it at the time, but sorry anyway :)

put it this way mate, a few times I was following people (not just you) and I made it through the chicane without any issues with the blocks, but they were intentionally straightlining it. If people would prefer to be able to do that, that's fine by me, I just think we all need to be driving to the same set of rules.

nah it ruins the race because not everyone can get it perfect :) also I had a moment where i flew over it when racing with Kammy, tried my best to let just him through! i think behind was mole and Alex(Saggy) which near about JUST worked lol that wouldnt bother me!

There's a glitch where the blocks appear in different places for everyone though...

i dont understand why it says my fastest was so slow :(

What do you mean?? In Race 1??
You probably didn't have a clean lap without being in a battle. ;) I was alone for 2 laps and put my best lap at that time.

Hmm I suppose but we were still quick at the start! Also I really want an FR car, Not keen on FF lol

Lol.
Just stick with it. When I first started driving the Integra it felt wierd. Now I drove it so much I struggle to tame my GT300 car in WSGTC. I'm getting slower there. :nervous:
One thing I learned in FF cars is you have to be more gentle braking and accelerating. Just read the APEX section about tire grip if you have it and you'll understand why.

Hit the nail on the head there bud.

And nate.. nice try but no.

This means we'll use OLR as a guideline from now on??
If so I'll sugest everybody gives it a read again, myself included.
If we were using it in first round so many penalties should have been handed out. Not trying to be picky, but I think we need to race all in the same set of rules, and OLR is a given in most of the series at GT Planet. And it makes race so much more real.

EDIT: Also check out this!! ;)

Whens the second race? Britek Motorsport need to get in on this.

I believe now that we started you can be prepared to 1 round every monday night.
Next monday is Suzuka. Need to test it today as I get a feeling I won't have time this weekend.

Practice session finished now.
Did a quick test on the ballast and lap times didn't change that much. But I was driving on GVE, and by now thats probably the track I know best. Need to test it at Suzuka. Tire wear seemed to have increased a bit though.
In Suzuka we did a few races on weather change. All dry. Hope it stays like that on race day.
I think it will be a great chance to the RWD cars to shine. Did a 2:09.898 in my Integra and took a 135i Coupe and in 3 laps did a 2:10.778. So easy on its tires it will be a contender for sure in Race 2.
Looking forward to next Round. :D

2:09? S***t that's fast!

My pb was 2:12.2 but I can go faster I reckon, maybe mid to low 2:11's

Much closer when racing tho so hopefully will get a good set of points, much prefer Suzuka as not a fan of Nurbergring.

Anyway excellent racing tonight boys :)

Incredible 4 way racing session with preisty, kamy and mcglone, probably the closest racing i've done on gt so far, the cars were so incredibly matched! But when the integra gets into first it just waves goodbye which is annoying. Suzuka is tough on the driver, and the 15 lapper will undoubtedly pose some exiting battles up front. We managed to have very few incidents tonight (the biggest of which was a STUPID mistake by me) considering how close we were. I advise all drivers to do a few compettitive races before monday, to get an idea of where opponents will brake and where you need to be to avoid them.

Chris.

I only did the 2:09 once, during a race. Normal pace was in sec 10. Still need to review the replay to understand how I was so fast. ;) I was going easy on the tires when I did that lap.
But I reckon my tires will suffer on feature race.
