Having your rear tires stop while using the e-brake is what's bad. As long as your tires keep spinning, its perfectly fine.

I don't bother using a pole for my e-brake I just have a camera strap that's put over my DFGT shifter. I might use a pole in the future though.

My M3 is soooo fast going into turn one, I'm having feather the throttle XD I too have an angle hungry car. Seems I've finally found out how to get past the understeer. So I may have a chance this round, well here's hoping anyway.
