Really enjoyed last week on race B. Such a nice track to push chasing another car and also with spots to overtake. I´ll share this replay because this one race was freakin awesome for me... I wasn´t expecting to be competitive after seeing the qualy times of the 2 cars in front of me!

Enjoyed the race very much also. Even not being competitive at all, don't have minimal knowledge of the track, had a massive loss in DR, not necessarily by lack of speed, that was on par I suppose, but unforced errors. Not bad at all as I reached S level no SR for the first time and now I have much more clean races, with much cleaner rivals, slowly building up my DR again.

Finally back, really did well this weekend, between race B St.Croix and now the race B with the GR.2. Put up 7 wins, 6 poles and 5 fastest laps.

Not really sure how that happened these were my first wins ever on gt sport. After a few wins it makes you that much more into the game.

@suprajef, are you using a controller while you're overseas? If so, do use L2/R2 for brake/throttle?

I notice that on the lap you did at Tsukuba, you appear to be keeping it conservative by hugging the inside curbs on the hairpins, and not skidding the car at all. Without seeing the time, I'd say it doesn't look very fast, but the clock proves otherwise. 👍

I remember a while back, someone was telling someone else to just throw their car into the corner, and your response was something like "No. Definitely don't do that". That's something that I've tried to keep mind. 💡

One mans turd is another mans treasure. ;)

here have a like 👍

on another note.....1 hour qualifying? Man, I really wish I could spend that kind of time qualifying, but I don't get enough time playing as is, so I usually start racing after something like 10 laps. One of these days I'm just gonna focus on qualy and not even care about racing to see how high (or low?) I can get my times. One of these days......

It helps when your wife works mostly nights and weekends, I put in over 12 hours of GT time yesterday. :D

that's amazing. you're pretty much my idol right now.

If I didn't have a fiance that demanded a good portion of my attention (rightly so) I'd probably be playing a very unhealthy amount of GT Sport.

I was thinking of it the other way around, you get faster times out of way less seat time, if you had my play time you’d be waaay faster than me. :)

I did a couples of daily C this morning alot of fun and i tink i saw someone broke a record longest dive bomb i ever saw right before the breaking sone i look at the gap .588 and at the apex i press pause so he go trough me and hit the dirt lollllllll . I saw im comin in my mirror i won he finished 5ft

Hell, I have got to learn that. I pulled a few early turn ins to cut the corner before the death chicane last night to avoid bombers. The bonus if I get that right is that they usually spin the wrong way at the wall.

So if I hit options to pause it there in the race I will ghost? I remember seeing it go to auto drive but this is new to me. If it works I have a new passive emergency weapon

That's brilliant. Somebody gave me that idea before, but I had only thought about it when I personally made big mistakes like outbraking myself. If I was about to punt somebody, just pause it and I'm ghosted and don't ruin anyone's race. But never even thought about it the other way around, as a defense mechanism.

Jeez Race C is such a bore fest...

2 races were pretty much decided after everyone was done nudging and bumping in the first 4 corners...

No overtaking, just a solid train

That's why Tsukuba is not much fun unless it's Karts, no places to overtake, short straights not enough draft, etc.

New lap up if you want to watch it. S1 was very frustrating...still some time to knock off. Another thing about race c, the car is not consistent with shifting. On the back straight sometimes I would leave my ghost, other times not.

I have a wheel here, I never liked controller so I don't think I am qualified to give advice.

This is a momentum car, plus take advantage of the inner side of the turns. Enter wide, apex, get on gas as soon as you can, exit wide.

My impression was similar to yours until I decided to race it a couple more times. Call me crazy but I'm beginning to enjoy it now. Agreed with what @Pigems said yesterday, it's hypnotically addictive.

There have been overtaking opportunities for me at least, I wouldn't had finished 4 places higher than my starting position. Turn 1 people can go wide and lose momentum and at Turn 8, there were times I squeezed by and took the inner line. Maybe I got lucky in my last lobby, no bumping and nudging to speak of. All round respectable and clean racing.

Listen to music, gets me pumped up
Yeah, me too. GT 2-4 had good enough in-game music that you could just let it play. There was lots of good music that got me pumped up.
The music they're using now is --> No clue what they're doing. I keep it in transmission mode.

This is one of the best ones they had in the game for race music.

As near as I can tell, it's about racing. Some say it's about a stripper. Could be both, maybe.

Roth said he wrote the lyrics after a day at the drag races, where he'd seen a car named the Panama Express. During the middle part of the song where Dave says "I can barely see the road from the heat comin' off..." you can hear Eddie revving his Lamborghini Miura V-12 in the background, which was backed up to the studio. Microphones were then attached to the exhaust pipes. The band then recorded the sound of the engine revving.

They were definitely into cars. 👍

AFAIK even in real life, it's mostly just used for Time Attack when it comes to cars. For actual racing, it's mostly host to motorcycle racing.

Just keep the daily race stuff daily race themed. Start a "MIE's random thoughts" thread. Your long posts lead themselves to a decent discussion. You just need to aim them at the right place.

I do occasionally post in the "Suggestions" forums, if that means much. And I don't know if I actually wanna be a recluse - I think reaching out to people, meeting people, and building on the relationships I already have, and ultimately work towards fulfilling my social needs, is actually going to help my problems far more than potentially exacerbate them.

Oh yeah "getting away with murder" by Papa Roach was exactly what I needed!

Lately I listen to Nothing More and Big Story, amazing bands!

Again, time stops for now player in the Daily thread. Already three pages deep from my last post.

Then you should be driving a GMC Ram Charger....
Loved when he catapults out of the dirt at night. So silly back then.

Scirocco is usually my GR4 weapon of choice. Even at Brands when we were not limited to FWD I used it. I didn't race and only had time to set a few Q laps per car last night - Megane was poop and I could not tolerate that 6th gear maxing out for 10 minutes in a 6 minute race so I only did 1 test lap, Pug is just too pugly to drive, Scirocco was a 1.12.3 after 5 laps and TT was a 1.11.1 again after 5 laps. Having only done a few laps I know there's easily a low 1.10 for me in the TT. Perhaps the Scirocco is better for the race with it's handling being more capable to duck, dive, brake and accelerate but certainly for Q time the TT wins for me.
I did set my fastest time in the Megane.
Scirocco is a much better race car than the other three.
