Enjoyed the race very much also. Even not being competitive at all, don't have minimal knowledge of the track, had a massive loss in DR, not necessarily by lack of speed, that was on par I suppose, but unforced errors. Not bad at all as I reached S level no SR for the first time and now I have much more clean races, with much cleaner rivals, slowly building up my DR again.

The death chicane worked my way. The pole guy, which had stronger pace until that point, made a mess on the chicane, on lap 2, allowing me to take the lead, and continued all over the place apparently, as I won by massive 7.5 seconds, in just my second race of the week and first of the day

wow, I don't have a lot of experience in GTS, been playing for 2 months only, but this combination might be my favorite so far: Dragon Tail + Gr. 2 cars. It's so much fun!!

Two races tonight. I started at P14 and finished there in the first one.

Did some more qualifying laps afterwards, got my time down to 1:32.9 and got a 4th place in the next race after starting at P7. Happy!

I think this corner is more dangerous than the bus stop in GR.2. I've seen it taking out many people including me.

And always so dramatic :)

I went full turbo in this race. All the cars around me had already dive bombed or bumped me, full throttle!

I don't usually drive this aggressive, but it is fun sometimes and it got me away from trouble. Still red S at the end.

That's really interesting because this is specifically the one corner I haven't seen anyone die at yet. I guess lower rated people just tend to take it in a safer, albeit slower way.

Could be, it's extra dangerous in mixed lobbies because the non qualifiers like me take it flat out while a qualified D/S driver often brakes for that corner. I always take my distance and lift there in lap 1 to be able to avoid trouble, then from lap 2 on, flat out, brake when you hit the top of the shadow on the road.

I love this combo, fast without any boring sections. GR.2 flows really well on this track.

There's no point to stopping for new tires in the Miatabowl, is there? I feel a significant drop off starting around lap 12-13 but that's probably not enough to make it worthwhile.

Naw, it’s not worth stopping, you’d lose more than you’d gain. :)

I made a realistic chart of daily race A-B

View attachment 857883

We race less than 50% of the time we spent playing GT.

Yep, and that's how you can race almost all day and still get everything done! Btw I did see you this morning in the lobbies, wasn't ignoring you, well I was kind off :guilty: I was working on my livery for the '08 model in between races as well as having breakfast during matchmaking / warm-up, taking out the garbage, cleaning up etc.

GT has taught me to divide my daily life up in 12-13 minute sections  :embarrassed:

You would probably lose interest most of all :boggled:

I never got further than 4 laps before quitting...

The death chicane is also a bad place to meet guys if you didn’t qualify. Before I ended up setting a qualifying time, you meet the guys with the slower qualifying times there and there braking, I’m coming through flat out, the odd time I have to lift but it’s hard to get through there if someone brakes, kills your speed on the short straight after.

@Sven Jurgens i too lost it on the corner a little to much curb and your in the air haha

@Sven Jurgens I haven't lost it there myself but have passed quite a few there. Have also been punted there from other people losing it or when I got run off line and tried to stay on track. Unfortunately this was in front of a pack so it didn't end well.

After looking at you guys and your laps and times I think I. Going to have to stop being cheap and try another group 2 car. The money is burning a hole in.my pocket and I could use some choices.

I think I’m going to buy that 08 GTR, I’ve been running the Lexus and not doing bad but the GTR seems superior in gr2 race

Yes, both Lexus's are good too.

I am not sure if I really are faster in the Nismo or it's all in my head and I feel more confident thus going faster. But it doesn't really matter.
I had a couple of races in the -08 Lexus where I got punted to p13 and couldn't advance from there.
Then I bought the -08 Nismo, shaved half a second of my qualification time in three laps, went to race, got punted to p13 in t1, advanced to p7, ran of in the danger corner, was back in p13, but ended in p9. So I might be a little unsure as of now but am able to advance.

I have the newer GTR and think it will be worth trying the old one and the Lexus. I am still leery of the NSX from my old days of struggling with it in the early GT games

Or you could do what I did some months ago... go Pokemon! Gotta catch em all ;). I'm really hoping they bring out some more. Since the change from daily to weekly, the only thing that gives me incentive to race is to use a different car each day. Six cars but 7 days ... does not compute.. does not compute....does not compute. Danger, danger... does not compute... <smokebillowingoutfromears>.

I haven't actually raced this week, qualified but not raced. Between the princess having me on furniture duty and dealing with the fascist dictatorship known as Centrelink, I've been too tired to race . Maybe tonight.

It's happened around me at the same corner:

Apologies for the crap editing, only my second try at video on any platform.

The Lexus is also a very nice driving car. It isn’t as fast as the Nismo, but has a lot better turn in and feels more stable through the corners.
Last time I looked there was still an RC-F in the top 10 in Asia region.

Oh boy. Just had a go at race B in the 08 GTR. Drives nice, more stable in the chicane, but it is getting nasty out there. Barge passing extreme. 1 guy kept getting penalties and if we were passing he would simply leave me room for 2 wheels only. Just push me off. I always saved it but no penalty, just SR down. Not having crashes, but a steady stream of Black Knights and barge passers is trickling my SR down at 1 or 2 a race. DR is on the tank for the foreseeable future. Might have to try a nap on race C to just get a break from getting slammed every other turn.
