You just can’t change it pre race because you don’t own the cars, same reason you can’t use your own liveries in race A.

A nice QoL change would be an option to bring your own garage car to those races. No need to change TCS and BB every time. It's kind of a pain having to frantically change those settings right before a race starts.

Although I guess PD wants those races to remain strictly "Specially Provided" so everyone can't dress cars in Red Bull liveries and create the setting of going to a race track in a car that isn't yours.

Changing the BB in race for Race A definitely works, I’ve been running BB+3 for all my hot laps/races. You just can’t change it pre race because you don’t own the cars, same reason you can’t use your own liveries in race A. Every car in the game also has adjustable TCS, something that they all defiantly don’t have in real life either. :)

If you do pre race qualifying the changes you make are still there for race start. If you don’t qualify you can make the changes during warm up. The car’s settings allow for TCS change and the warm up lap itself allows for BB.

As for Interlagos, would the Jag go well considering it has good top end speed for the straight and the FR car should be better tyre wear than FF and AWD? I can’t recall the last Daily C with Gr4 on a track I like.

No Cones! :D

I had not considered that :scared:

Change from TCS2 down to TCS1 has cost me 3000 DR and 30 SR so far.... enjoying the challenge!

Starting from the back at Dragon trail costs me 8 000 DR in the last three days.

There's a number of issues with the timing. The opt. sometimes doesn't update. The car record gets mixed up with the session record. Sometimes it doesn't display a sector time at all.

I cant believe PD did not figure how to solve this issue in the last two years :irked:

Some nice Saturday morning racing, very clean at DT: Seaside. The worst driver showed up for a couple races and even he was on his best behavior. Still got a penalty in 2 out of his 3 races but didn't go around punting people as usual. Perhaps he finally figured out that the 80-89 SR range is the best spot for easy races, hence he was there one race, gone the next, back again after to collect a penalty. Fine with me, he was behind me for a couple laps and for the first time he did not punt me :) Maybe people can change.

Passing as the death chicane is always tricky, and even when you do it careful enough nobody gets hurt, you end up with a shortcut penalty :banghead:

He got the position back at the penalty zone doh. Any other way and you risk a nose tapping your bumper and then the wall for 3 sec penalty. Of course all the banging in the corner before goes unpunished.

This was my most adrenaline filled race this morning, fighting off the green horde hot on my tail. Starting from lap 2:

Then at the end I get forced off by a blue flag, oh well.

I played like crap that race lol. The race before that, some goof divebomb me twice, I even got a 5 second penalty although I was innocent. I flipped out post race lol

It's had the opposite effect for me today - not that I chose to start at the back, that's just where my qualifying time put me!

Had four races, starting 16th in each, got three 8th places and a 7th, once again without actually passing anyone on track! I love DT Seaside, as even the best drivers can get it wrong, and the old hare and tortoise story works well here.

Still falling, man what a fun combo this is! :D

I did a 30.2 S1, followed by a solid run through the esses and got so excited I fell off at the top of the hill. My best lap is a 28.4 and I've 28.0 opt. now but like Ash I don't think I'll get it. I cannot get a good S1 and I've tried alsorts of TCS, BB, braking points etc. That's where all my laptime is at present.

Have you tried staying in 3rd for the first chicane? I gained about 2 tenths there this morning. It’s the hairpin before the bus stop where I’m losing the most time still I think. :)

That’s Lester I was chasing in the video. :)

If you, Mr. Pigems, can get to the 27 range, I'll owe you a beer. Somehow.

Interlagos gr4 next week...
I’ll say last time I ran that there were several people using the rcz, and they were very fast.
I’ve tried ff but I’m just not good at it. I haven’t been able to do well with those.
Power fr for me or maybe try various cars on alt account. The stang is quite strong there.
Overall for me gr4....I can just never settle on a car. I like DRIVING the Cayman, 86, and Ferrari, but I am much more competitive in say stang vette merc...
Great example of a track where the racing line given by the game is very effective in race.
The first and last turns you must have down cold. Just hug tight in a stang through the slow bits, Brazil hates that!

I just looked at the N200 category for next week race A

GROUP N - N200 (4)

Alfa Romeo 4c Launch Edition
Peugeot 208 GTi
Toyota GT-86
Volkswagen Golf VII GTI

GROUP N - N300 (5)

Audi TTS Coupe
Ford Focus ST
Lotus Evora
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Final Edition
Subaru WRX STI Type S

Knowing that PD have bot choosing every week car and track combo, I put my money on GT86 or downtuned TTS. You know the ol same ol same.

A detuned Lotus Evora would be a nice suprise.

Huh, I don't think we've specifically seen a Gr.4 race at Interlagos with tire/fuel consumption. Either way, I'm happy to see that list of races for next week. I bet that race at Goodwood (a course that I really do like) will be another BR-Z/86 race like the one recently at Sardegna A, but I won't complain for seeing a balanced N-Series race that isn't a one-make - even if it is just two cars that are eligible instead of one. I'm typically happier to see the full Suzuka versus Suzuka East, too.

EDIT: I also think it'd be real cool if the Daily Races (and indeed, the FIAGTC races too) followed a generalized guide of car/track combination that ultimately, in each pairing, follow a motif. For example, a one-make with a pre-1979 car at Goodwood Circuit, or kei cars at Tokyo Expressway. Not that this guide have to be strictly followed, but it'd be real neat if we saw stuff like the following:

-Jaguar E-Type @ Goodwood Circuit
-S660/Beat/Copen @ Tokyo Central Inner Loop
-Ford GT @ Willow Springs - Big Willow
-Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniv. @ Catalunya
-Ferrari LaFerrari @ Monza - No Chicane
-Sprinter Trueno/Corolla Levin @ Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa (or Autopolis Short.)
-Bugatti Veyron Gr.4 @ Alsace - Village
-(N500 Gr.3 & Gr.B Road cars) @ Maggiore West
-Sauber C9/XJR-9/787B/R92CP/962C @ Le Sarthe - No Chicane
-919 Hybrid/TS050/R18 '16 @ Interlagos (It's typically been on the WEC calendar, right?)

It'd just be a bit more interesting to have a stronger link between the eligible car(s) and the track, or at least more often. Plus the idea of having more interesting restrictions on available cars, rather than either permitting all cars in a given "major" class, or N-Series one-makes. That said, I do also like how the Daily Races after an update likely will feature new cars/tracks. But I think there's a way to make these pairings a bit stronger, rather than just trying to feature the new content without much thought otherwise.

For example, if Spa does indeed come in the next update, there could be a Daily Race that features the F1500T-A, given that it's a circuit that's been seen in F1 for many decades. Sometime before or after that, there could be a Daily Race that reflects Spa's place in WEC, with one that limits you to either the 919, TS050, or the 2016 version of the R18 - as all three of these (vs. the 2011 R18) were from the same WEC season!

Wow what a difference with this morning. DT: Seaside is an absolute crap fest now. 3 terrible races in a row. First one caught in the chaos. Second one another from the back driver angers the car he passed in front of me, not all that cleanly. That driver takes his anger out on me so I end up in the sand... Third race a dirty driver keeps diving and bumping me after I pass him squeeky clean. He finally bumped me wide enough to pass, so I punted him off. Penalty system does nothing, well punished me for not taking that crap. Down to 89 SR, maybe a more friendly room?

2x 12th place finishes and a 13th, all DR gains of the morning gone lol.

Nope, just as bad in the low SR.S room. First a car starts pushing me off when side by side, then bumping until I'm half on the grass. Next a car I pass keeps his nose next to my rear bumper when the fast left comes up before the hairpin. I take it tight, leave 3 car widths on the outside, but he insists on having his nose against my rear to then tap the wall on the right. Down to 84 SR.

Oh well, it's time for Brand's hatch. Oh it's a trophy race, I'm sticking with the Lexus.

And disconnected in lap 15, sigh.

Manufacturer's: got bumped off into the grass, left spinning there, finished 20th. I did finally manage to catch back up, passed a car, yet then the front came to lap us. So what does the car behind me do, takes the opportunity to draft pass through me.... Cheaters everywhere.
