I got punted so hard at Seaside I ended up in next week's dailies. Here they are!

Race A: N200 one-make @ Goodwood, 5 laps, SH
Race B: Gr.3 @ Suzuka, 4 laps, RH
Race C: Gr.4 @ Interlagos, 11 laps, RH, x3 fuel / x11 tires
The aliens are going to be torn about doing B and C races. Those are always competitive, at least in terms of Time Trial.

Not a bad start, and I got to race with @Sven Jurgens , Always a pleasure Sir. :)

Not at SR.C yet, but the downward spiral has started lol. I hit a car going slow through the bus stop. Once you're committed to a line, braking doesn't help anymore :/ Partly because the wheels aren't touching the ground when going over the kerb
I'm at 40 now, and can barely see straight (Just got another win. Those guys should be ashamed) Now's the time to come get me. Taking a break after the next one. :D

🤬 Friday nights a few beers and hot lapping! So got a 1:28.338 on DT, the first sector of that lap is 30.322, the last sector is ok, not great. Three laps in a row, go 30.1, 30.1, 30.095 (I remember that one!) for the first sector, immediately screw it up on the left hander, then gain a tenth back on the last sector! :banghead:

Think there may be a 27 in there...

But I ain't finding it!!

A: The only one I'm looking forward to out of the bunch only because Goodwood hasn't been used in a while. N200: might be the Clio again although I'd be happy with that over the BRZ/86 for the umpteenth time.

B: Suzuka again... I might still race on it, I like Gr.3.

C: Huracan One-Make incoming. Fuel multiplier is low so I assume it won't be a pit race.

Not gonna lie, kind of meh week overall.

Leave DT Seaside alone! Lol.

I love that track. I think the death chicane is perfect. Once I learned how to take it full throttle in most cars, it was a done deal. I wouldn’t change it at all. That is supposed to make or break a race imo.

In the last 3 days of racing DT, not a single time I felt like I align the car perfectly for flat out pass.

Death chicane pass % succes

- Flat out 0
- Small lift 100
-Scrapping wall a bit 65
- Death 25
- going side by side 0 Are you out of your mind!

Well, Race A for me. I just hope they choose a car we never saw in daily.

Thought I'd have a run at race B as baby was sleeping nicely. Did ok first race, start 6th, finish 5th, solid run. Second race, due to start 4th... baby wakes up...

RED FLAG, STOP THE RACE, QUIT ASAP, ABANDON SHIP!! Down 1500+DR and 5SR.

Done for the night!

Although she might earn me some wins down the line!!

I still can’t believe you’re driving a GTR.

Great racing with you! Always fun. Awesome pic!

It was dinner time, hence no more races. It's a couple drinks later now and I don't have an alt account for DUIs
So I guess I'm just going to mess up my NMS save tonight instead of my SR :scared:

Oh crap, it is a GTR. I didn't read any further than Xanavi Nismo :ouch:

I'm pondering about Brand's hatch for tomorrow. Nations sure, Manu is on the indy circuit 28 laps. Hmm, I'm not a fan of sub circuits, the longer the better, but 20 cars on a little circuit with pit stop strategy, could be tons of fun.

Thanks. :) The 4C will probably be the main choice for the Nations race I think, I could be wrong though. What Manu did you sign with? Im with Merc, it’s not great around that track, but it’s not terrible either. No need to hard tires this time either, can go full soft on both races I believe. :)

I signed with Lexus without looking at the schedule. Will see what it can do tomorrow.

Two race B's so far, and my inabitlity to clear the chicane every lap in a race is my only real issue here. Managed a mid pack result both times though. Let's see how the third goes, i am on pole somehow lol
I feel your pain. In traffic I nearly always get the death chicane clean, but if I'm free of nearby competitors I somehow manage to bottle it about one in three laps.

Ideally, there'd be a penalty for cutting it, just like the chicanes at Monza. Maybe there could be a compromise and the chicane could be made more like the Monaco GP course, where there is a solid wall, but there's a lot more space before hitting the wall, and cutting the flat part would induce a penalty.

I don't think replacing a solid wall with a gravel trap makes the game easier at all. The game is only as easy as its best drivers.
I don't know if anyone else has experienced it, but I got a 2 second track limits penalty at DTS death chicane yesterday without hitting either apex wall or the wall at the exit.

I'll just leave this here

And I thought the B/S lobbies in the Asia region were untidy... that is just mind boggling.

Can I ask something? What are we hoping to get out of doing Daily Races? For me, I suppose there's a fun to be had in working within what car/tracks/event regulations there are per week; same applies to the Time Trials. Getting better with various cars/tracks - stuff like that, or knowing when to avoid certain events given their featured cars/tracks. I think I should also chill out a bit regarding my DR - it's meant to be an indicator of my skill, after all, not something to grind and subsequently get a little worried about if/when it drops.
For me it's working on improving my racecraft and personal best performances while interacting with something more challenging than the entirely predictable AI.
Plus the social aspect of enthusing/bragging about my meagre deeds on this forum and learning from others with interests similar to mine.

What a great track. Wish it were in the game. (Watkins Glen)
There was a version of that track in the old Papyrus Games racing sim GP Legends. It was a massive challenge, braking and turn in areas starting at crests where the car is light, off camber corners, cresting corners, really hard work to learn.

🤬 Friday nights a few beers and hot lapping!
I've tried that... does nothing for my timing in the chicane of death or any of the high speed braking areas or turn in points.

Next week's races - Suzuka and Interlagos :D. Depending on car choice, I might give Goodwood a few laps too.

For Nations, I'm expecting 4C and Megane Trophies to dominate the grid. I love the Trophy, but I need a bit more speed, so the 4C will come in handy (if I enter).
So, next week....
B - PD massively wears this track out, and makes a lot of people despise it.
Without context, that's quite a few tracks you could be talking about. East Outer Loop, Suzuka (all), Fuji (all), Maggiore Center, Tsukuba.

Autopolis, Nordschleife, and N24 are close to being on that list. Autopolis, because it's close to getting overused; and Nordschleife/N24 because it takes eons to complete a lap, so it gets tiring to do in its own way.

Daily reminder that Sainte-Croix A has been in the game for well over a year now and it has never featured in the weekly races.

Suzuka returns. I only have 4 wins there. Might be a good week for me as far as DR. It's never a good week for SR.
What is this "win" about which you all speak? :dunce: ... :sly:

...I do have one win, at Interlagos, but it was handed to me by the nine cars in front of me crashing or being punted and it was so long ago I've forgotten what it feels like ;)
