On a DS4 it’s R1 to change views usually.
I forgot one little thing. When we got the SF '19 added, I remapped that button for the overtake function. So, I'll have to look into my settings & see where I put it.
The problem I've had every race is that in the heat of the race it seems that the grip on the track evaporates. I can attribute some of this due to dirty air and the suck, where I have to change braking points but even when the air is clear the traction is horrible.
I use TCS, so I can't complain about lack of grip on the rear tires. But I swear that makes the lack of traction from the front tires double. Yeah, I know that sounds obvious (I'm a math major
), but I swear the tire models have gone through enough change since the last Suzuka/Gr.3/RH combo was run that you can throw half of my favorite cars out the window. Redoing those calculations, that's actually 2/3rds of my favorite cars. The only ones I can comfortably hustle around are the Corvette & Ford GT. But hey, I've won in both of those during the last combo.
Nice! Thanks.
I believe there is also a key that will remove the overhead/floating nameplates in replays as well, but I can’t remember what key it is.
F1 removes names, F4 returns them.
There are physics differences between race and qualy. Undoubtedly.
But I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the any differences are exacerbated by psychology.
Agreed. I've lost count of how many races I was leading only to be concerned with second place in relative striking distance or me trying to set the fastest lap & miss a braking point & hand them a victory. I' ve adopted the "maintain the win" mentality. Don't go gung-ho for the FL, hit the braking points just a smidge earlier & avoid going off track.
Oh... ok then
I loved the Matrix driver passing people before the race started.
GT Sport is supposed to be an E sport. Sports have rules. PD is mostly to blame for not setting down any rules apart from a broken penalty system and a rather useless etiquette video.
Agreed.
I know it's been said before, many times but Interlagos is just too dirty, especially if you try to race from the back and it's all PD's fault. I must have been hit muliple times by every single car I was near and that was like half the field without any of them being enough for a penalty. Eventually I shamefully snapped and intentionally spun a car by turning left into the last right hander in sector 2, the other car went for a great spin but I guess somehow it must have never gone off track, so of course the game just allowed it. It's really no wonder people race so aggressively when junk like that is allowed and goes unpunished.
It's sort of a combo for me. I've just decided that Interlagos & Tokyo are no fly zones for me. Not only am I worse as a driver at those 2 locations, add in other cars & I look like a total beginner in their first race ever. Then, those other drivers are practicing for kamikaze school & I get knocked out of their way. That's just no fun & games are supposed to be fun.
No Sport mode races for me this week. Got my racing fix yesterday lobby racing. Practice for the upcoming Catalunya Endurance race and Big Willow with the TPC gang. Will make up for it next week on Race B & C and culminating with Catalunya on Sunday. Can't wait.
That Catalunya race is flying right up on us. I did one test race so far to gauge fuel use & tire degradation. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. I may test another car before the cutoff date. BTW, do you remember what your average or best time is at Big Willow? I'm just curious as to where I stand in comparison. I thought I was doing pretty well eclipsing
@Pigems best lap, but somehow he waved his black magic during the race to dip into the 1:16s & my eyes bugged out.
We are all doomed.
See above comment.
