Well, I did say the 86 had a chance to shine at Laguna Seca & @05XR8's screenshot proved it.

I always do that (although slightly more to the left with the wheels on the curbstones) and never got a penalty. I have "been awarded" a penalty if I touched the grass there.

I've put 2 tires on the grass with no penalty. At BBB, the only penalty for cutting is if you drop all 4 in the grass.

Track limits? Pfft, we don't need no stinkin' track limits!

Tried the Evo, Q9 which is the limit for not having any corner issues at the start. 1st sped off and a bunch of us ended up about 10 secs behind at lap 6. They all pitted (even the other Evo) by lap 9 and I'm in 1st. Speedy catches me partially due to the idiot in the TT slowing me down before finally pitting. Get passed on lap 10 and came 2nd a good 12 secs behind. The TT didn't cost me 1st and I had no probs with the guys behind 3 to go 9sec lead ended up with 6. Slightly better than the GT-R overall, but a bit tougher at the end so if tight could be a problem.

Thats a great result. Nicely done! Interesting that the GTR is easier to manage later in the race than the EVO!

Got knocked down to A/A in that last RAce B. Back up to A/S in this one. Lost P1 at T5 exit. F-Type eas 3-4 seconds for the whole race. Pulled away the last 3 laps. M4 doesn't feel fast. Held the WRX off, but it messed up and the TT brigade attacked it. TT stayed 2-3 seconds behind me for most of the race. Was catching on the last lap. Using the 86 next.

Edit: This was real. No mess ups. The FFs are dead. Had a five-way battle for P1. I lost out to a TT, but caught up and just picked them off. P1 fell to 3rd, but was patient. By Lap 5, we checked out and were gone. The 86 was okay, but the Slophy was slightly better at the end. I had P1 for a couple laps as the Slophy went wide on the run to the top of the hill. Slophy is next

Edit2
The Slophy is nice. I stayed 1 second behind P1. The WRX was P2 at the start and got too ambitious at the entry to the corkscrew. Should have waited. Anyway, trailed the 86 most of the race and I made a mistake(around Lap8) before the Cooper Tires underpass. Couldn't close the gap.

I'd say the cars are even. Slophy has downforce for the corners, 86 seems to be less MR risky. Don't bother with an FF. They're fast at the start, but by Lap 5-6, they are toast. Brands Hatch time, in the Mustang and RX-V.

I'm a little surprised not to see any Vipers in there. I did a few practice races yesterday and for me, it had better pace with easier tire management than the Jaguar and Aston. How's the WRX on tire wear? I thought about it but figured it'd be almost as bad as the FFs.

So third race and this time the WRX, can anyone see a pattern?, got a slightly better quali and this time Q7. Well that dog don't hunt, had to pit and because it was had and not planned lost time. Even so still came 7th, would have been 6th, but a TT had to fight me so we both lost a place. Time wise it it could maybe be as fast as a no stop GT-R, but still behind the Evo. Really hard to say in race conditions because no 2 races are the same so it's conjecture. Still think no stop is better though. If only I could handle a MR, used to love the NSX.

Kinda sad to Spa go, I was surprisingly fast there and drove guys nuts with my LM55 as it FLEW by at the top of Kemmel

Now to Brands, everytime brands is on the list i say no, no way but then the other races are worse and I am forced onto brands. I shall qualify reasonably well and move backwards int he races as always, not to mention the compulsory loss of DR, 3000 points or so int he week.

I think I might have to follow your lead and break out the 4WDs...
I've had one run at it, in the Cayman. Only ran one qually lap and it was slow. Q12, had some terrible early laps and dropped to 16th but fought back to 10th. No stops needed. The TT brigade were in full force and all pitted on laps 7 to 9.
Enjoyed the race overall, just need to get more practice on that circuit to run better laps.

Tried an A and it was terrible, got reset at chicane so in last, then had morons playing bumper cars so no chance of getting any speed up. Came 8th and basically it's just who gets lucky at the chicane. Chicane of Despair would be an appropriate name for that. Not doing that again, but still have to try B and since I like the track I should like it.

Have you tried the Mazda at Laguna Seca yet? ;)

Well I was avoiding it as I usually do badly with it, but I suppose I should give it a go. Entered now will moan in half an hour.

Forget that, I'm Q2 and in a ****** car :banghead::banghead::banghead:
Seemed apt to try all the Japanese 4WDs though.... thanks for taking one for the team!!

Due to the timings I jumped straight to B and then C. Forgot to do an A today so that'll be tomorrow. Today was a Porsche day.
Brands.
Qualified 14th. Got a worse start that the person ahead and a miles better start than the guy behind. Lap 2 the car ahead goes for a move into Druids on my fellow 911. The 911 kicks out on the exit and starts to turn across me. I have nowhere to go but their front wheel. Doesn't effect me and corrects their slide. Win win, nope 2 seconds for me. This dropped me a couple of places. Next lap I pass a car coming out of a penalty ghost and the car understeers into Clark Curve. I dip a tyre in the gravel and around I go. Get reset and the BMW that was 10 seconds behind goes past (with my blessing) into Paddock Hill. I don't have the best lap and loose some time to them even though I know I am faster. Over the next couple of laps I pass those having excursions or penalties. On the last lap I am being chased by one whilst also catching the BMW. The BMW goes wide out of Stirling and spins to the barrier. I hold off the car behind to finish 11th.

Leguna.
Jumped in the Cayman wanting to avoid the FF's this week. Mostly TT's in my lobby with a smattering of others. Lap one and all goes pear shaped. I hit the sausage going through turn 6 which launches me too far to the right and I spin on the sand. DFL once I get going again, but only a few seconds down thanks to unusually facing the right way afterwards. Two TT's are side by side going into the Corkscrew. Predictably 1 goes straight on so I pick up a place again. And another as a second car is also in the gravel. Spend the next few laps catching back up with the pack and picking off those fighting. The TT's head off to the pit and I pass most of them in there over the midpoint of the race. I eventually get to 6th and a Spaniard in a TT exits the pits behind me. They are obviously a faster driver (by some margin) than me. So I wasn't going to fight but they still barge past me into turn 4. (I wasn't expecting them to try as they weren't that close and it's not a corner for it.) I flash a couple of times but the pull away. Another TT went wide into Andretti and then quit giving me 5th. The cars behind are fighting or suffering with tyres as much as I was. I keep it on the black stuff for 5th and a decent result.

Like I mentioned in this race, the TTs attacked this player, but the WRX was going off track on their own a few times, after watching the video.

I knew this would be a good combo for me. Got home from work, threw in a quick, crappy qualy lap (could barely break 1:30 for some reason) and jumped into the first available Race C. Nearest I can tell, I'm the only one that tried a no-stop. I did get a 4 sec penalty when I got caught up with a couple of Brazilians - if I had just hung back for a lap I could've just passed them when they pitted the next lap. Oh, well. Finally broke 18k with the main acct. I'm tempted to go for 20k before switching the alt accounts. I dunno.

WRX seems to work for race C. Qualified 7th on 1.29.

No stopper possible, although fronts wear a bit.
Was lapping most laps at 1.30-1.31, leader lapped at 1.29 and overtook him on lap 8 with his/her pit stop. Only had an eight second lead but was enough. My lap times did not worsen until lap 12.

Slow and steady wins the race!

I got very lucky with hardly any fighting and only one penalty.

I think they must know. I did ask but I think last weeks had just come out after I asked. I dont think group 4 should be mediums or softer personally not unless they change the BoP a little bit more.

Thanks for the info Sir, it’s much appreciated. I agree about Gr.4 too, they are fine on RH.
