I knew this would be a good combo for me. Got home from work, threw in a quick, crappy qualy lap (could barely break 1:30 for some reason) and jumped into the first available Race C. Nearest I can tell, I'm the only one that tried a no-stop. I did get a 4 sec penalty when I got caught up with a couple of Brazilians - if I had just hung back for a lap I could've just passed them when they pitted the next lap. Oh, well. Finally broke 18k with the main acct. I'm tempted to go for 20k before switching the alt accounts. I dunno.

What car is that? Amazing you moved up 9 places?

That's a Dodge Viper. And if you don't stop and everyone else does you can make big gains on race C. Nearly 20 secs loss in the pits.
People are pitting in Race C?

I’ve run twice, once in the WRX and once in the McLaren. No one in front of me pitted and both cars did a no stop without much trouble.

From what I’m seeing so far, the WRX and the Cayman seem very competitive. The TTs and RCZs are popular, but cannot survive the pressure in the last few laps.

Really surprised players are stopping. Trying the Vantage right now. Was going to try the FF Megane because I'm watching TCR Australia, but nah. I'll see how it goes. The F-Type is seriously quick around LS. Might be in some strife with this one.

Edit: Tyre wear came in hard! Had to let cars go by. Let the NSX pass and as we're running up the hill, we both catch the track edge and start sliding, I faired worse, by going off.

Couldn't do it in the WRX, using the Evo. Some FFs are doing no stops, but many aren't, suppose it depends on the split. The higher the split the less stoppers you'll see. Even though it's 20 secs in the pits, I'd still say it's marginal at lower levels because general time loss and the chances of making mistakes are higher, but I'll stick with not stopping.

Gotta say, players have been patient. Loss of momentum and penalties hurt, when no stopping. As mentioned above, if you're in a lower room, pitting might work. In A/S, you can't pit. The STIs are looking good, but I'm going with the Cayman next.

 Started 9th. Another race where people will knock you off and recover DR with green sectors. The 86 was P1. It didn't like that a P2 TT was overtaking it before the Corkscrew. So, it continues to bump it up the hill and misses the braking point. Now, it's behind me in 9th. Straight aims at me from way back and bumps me off at the entry to the Corkscrew on Lap 2.
It divebombs players at the final turn. Bumps players off at T4 and get 4 seconds. Divebombs the P2 WRX, but the player avoids the collision.
86 serves its penalty and three of us pass it at the PZ. It bumps me off at the penultimate corner, when I was battling for P3. I had enough of that. I smash it off at the final turn. 4 seconds for me. I smash it again at T1. another 4 seconds. The 86 has a hard tiome recovering. Watch out for that player.

Peugeot in 9th, had pitted and passed the 86 soon after.

Tried the RSR, for the first time, in a Sport Mode race.

Yeah, very eventful. A blind test in the R.S.01 ended in me spinning, the 4C almost helped but my misjudgment on the turns caused me to spin once more. One more try in the 4C was a demolition derby with me being second to last despite having a chance to score 3rd if it wasn't for the very close battles that made my palms sweaty. Probably because I've been playing on the DS4 on the last 3 years playing this game.

Disaster of a race C for me, went in with my old faithful Vantage, starting 19th, and couldn't seem to get it to turn in properly, so ran off at T6 on lap 1, and never really recovered from there, made up a few places as people pitted, and some crashed, but then made the same mistake at T6 later on, and immediately fell off the road at the corkscrew with dirty tyres. Finished last on the road, which by then was 18th. I really haven't got the hang of the track, will go back in with the 458 next though.

Missing Spa, my last race on there was great fun, I stuck with the 908, and spent 6 or 7 laps battling with a French guy in a hybrid, depending on our exits from the chicane and la source, he'd get past me into the hairpin or down the hill, or not at all, and I'd get back past on the straight, not sure the gap was ever over 2s, and not once did we make contact. Got split on the last lap by someone serving a penalty, so finished 9th and 11th, and he sent me a friend request after the race, pretty similar k'score, so some quali competition, and hopefully I'll see him again in a race.

Committed to the Cayman for Race C, and maybe the M4 as a dark horse change of scenery. Anyone run the M4 yet?

One Race B, what's the car of choice for the masses? I've not had a look at it yet...

Ran the M4 on the previous page. If you can keep it straight on the first lap, you should be okay. However, it ain't fast.

I really like the Cayman at Laguna Seca. It just feels so well suited to the track. You barely need to change out of 3rd gear.

What I don’t like are the people (almost exclusively in FF cars) who feel it is their god-given right to weave in the braking areas either causing me to lose all momentum or incur a penalty for contact.

I’m fast approaching the “no benefit of the doubt” threshold.

I ain't fast, so I try to rely on consistency instead. I'll have a couple runs with the M4 today and see how I get on. Might fall back on to the Cayman in the end...
I went good in the Cayman, before that knucklehead acted up. The Slophy and 4C were "experiments". So, it's on my FIA radar at the moment. That's saying alot.

Been using the RSR. Very nice. Can't beat my RX-Vision qualy time, but it's been super stable in my races. Made up those 4 places in one corner. Brakes and handling kept me out of trouble. 👍

Yesterday it was #6 on the EMEA top 10 list for C
i don't know how others are getting along on race pace towards the final laps.

This guy really had to trigger my inner R4M/aggressive side like his tires are dead so it seemed that I'm able to overtake the dude and take the W but then he wasn't willing to give up the position so he did some shady defense to avoid getting overtaken and while I got a 1.5 sec penalty in the process (both from collision and track limit breach), I was still able to overtake the TT driver but had to do a very aggressive overtake just to send the message that he really triggered my aggressive side. Although my SR took a beating after that race, it honestly didn't matter to me because he was asking for it.

I love the way the aggressor avoided a penalty both times. What an absolute clusterfruxk the penalty system is.
I honestly didn't really want it to end it like this like winning a race dirty as seen on the second gif/vid where I overtook the guy in a aggressive fashion.

Ah well it is what it is sometimes and at some point someone had to really make me incensed.

I ran wide numerous times putting in quali times for race B. Didn't get a penalty one. But the lap replays using the controller are hysterical.
That’s the fastest line there for sure , not sure if the in-game line goes through there :D
