jumped in the alt for Race C. 9/20 players DNF'd. CRazy.

Edit: Another race where 9/19 cars DNF'd. Mainly trouble makers in FFs. I got bullied on the first 3 turns. Dropped from P2 to P5. The P1 TT was struggling from the start. P3 Scirocco, P4&P5 TTs just divebombed and ran me wide at each turn.

As they fought before the PZ, I squeezed P2 out the way at T4 and hunted down P1. Passed it in Lap 2 and won by 11 seconds ahead of a Slophy. P3 TT was a further 9 seconds behind the Slophy.

The peanuts were out in force today. I managed to make a mortal enemy across three races. Watched him just push people into the sand repeatedly. He then decided to be a smart Alec in the chat after each race. He can expect continued persecution until he learns his lesson.

(I’m hoping your alt is not a NZ account driving a 458...)

Took the M4 out for a race in Race C last night. Went out and ran a bunch of quali laps first and was only 2 tenths off a friend's quali time in the TT, so thought it might stand a chance - well, it holds its own but it's not a serious podium contender unless you qualify well or drive alien laps. I started 12th, second fastest of the non-TT drivers, with a smattering of different cars behind me (Lexus, McLaren, Cayman, another M4, etc.) with a Trophy in front of me. We battled for a fair few laps, neck and neck, and I managed to slip past him and hold on for a while, then a mistake and he got ahead but dropped into the pits after 6 laps. I stayed out and got up to 6th position, but eventually got dropped back to 10th after some TT's with fresh tyres swept through the field and pushed their way up front. Happy enough with the final result, as I managed to keep pretty consistent 1:29/1:30 lap times the whole race, and made a small gain in DR and a big jump in SR.

Then jumped into my TT to run some quali laps. Found an extra 1.3s for a low 1:27, so hopefully should see me further up the grid in future races!

Your lap times are ridiculous.

And it only pains you more when you remember that he’s using a controller!!! :boggled:

Ford GT LM. I know because he's always in the Ford.

There was a time when the Ford GT just seemed to work for me. Either I’m out of practice or PD changed some physics on it, but it doesn’t handle quite the same as I remembered before.

Still Aussie flag, but in the Cayman. One livery is matte green. Another is white/yellow matte metallic. The other is pink/blue/white.

So starting the day with 5,777 DR and 52 SR with the big question of how quickly can I get to 99 and I want to improve DR wise too not just sit at the back lapping.
So race 1, 1 other C and an E in with Ds so need a good result to move up, Q5 but nothing seriously faster than me. So 4th bins it early and 2 Spaniards (bit worried) both bump me, but 1 was accidental the other was trying to kill me. So in 2nd and 7 secs behind leader who's running the same times as me. Will he pit???? Yes he can, after he clears everyone he's about 10 secs behind with 6 to go. 8s and 4, 6 getting worried 5 with 2 to go I'm pretty safe. 3.5 secs and last lap, really hard to keep it clean, but made it with a second to spare.
7,057 so a nice 1280 DR
70 so 18 SR ????? with a CRB
51 and I had a pen (track) and bumps, 18 with a CRB. This makes no sense.

CRB at LS is definitely 18 SR. I don’t know how you managed a +51.

On that topic I was mad as heck last night. Mostly A rated room (I am a high B) so I had a lot of DR to gain, started 11th and by lap 2 was 6th with 2 guys ahead showing penalties. Guy in front of me running at same pace but I am right on him, makes a mistake, does a full 360, I have NOWHERE to go and boom I cop 4 seconds and drop 5 places!!

NOT HAPPY JAN.

Yeah I feel I must be wrong, maybe I had an extra game in between????? Thing is I check Kudos after every game so even missing 1 without realising is strange. Still 51 in 2 games is more than the theoretical 36 max and there's no way it was 3 games. Next till I get reset (yes it will happen again) I'll be sure to keep a better record.
OK next round Q6 12 Ds and 8 Cs. So 1st lap Corkscrew get hit by guy returning to track and 3 secs. 2nd time guy in front brakes real early 2 secs, fine my fault, but even though I hang back and don't push the guy and he's lost nothing he starts with the brake checking and other garbage. I was all set for just playing bumper cars, but he got another pen for knocking someone else off so quit. I'm now in 14th, rest of the race is clean and manage to grab 6th back mostly due to everyone thinking the pits are a good thing.
7,621 + 564
62 -8. this isn't helping :banghead: Back to B

The amount of time it takes to recover/reset after being spun/rammed/punted to oblivion is far too long. Makes the penalities seem timid in comparison.

They changed the physics awhile back the added weight made the car drive a bit different.

I don't know how Max does what he does... I need to get him to send me a DS4 from the UK lol

Q10 with 14 Bs got a 4 sec and a 2 sec both not even close to my fault and finished a poor 8th. The 4 sec at the beginning lost me loads because I had to fight through slow cars and ended up losing another 5-10 secs with a TT who wanted to pit on lap 9
8080 +459
62 a wash. Why should I bother about this when I do nothing wrong and stay the same? Only 2 slight collisions, both other peoples fault, yet no gain.

I finally got around to racing last night. Went into a race at Brands cold. I had 1 complete and 2 partial laps before entry, gridded last. I did see @NevilleNobody WAAAY up ahead at the start. This is not my best track. The first race was not good, but the second was better, as I had some laps under my belt. I switched from the Viper to the 911 since I saw that people were doing well in it. Still slow here, but maybe tonight I can up my pace. Got into the 24's in the race, and managed a 7th place finish from the back of the pack. Some very aggressive drivers, and some un-deserved penalties when they forced their way by. Haven't looked at the DR damage yet, but I may have to race from the back this week since I'm not strong on the tracks available. At least on my alt I can play their game without worry. I still have hopes of getting back up to 40k or so for the next FIA season on my main. We'll see.

Been playing GTS since christmas, only focussed on RaceB's until this week.
Had my driver rating as high as 19k, with Race C it's crashed down to 11k but must say this race has been alot of fun.
What hasn't been so fun is getting absolutely punted off at the corkscrew on average twice a race, it's a killer to have your race ruined in a 25 minute race when trying to take it so cautiously - feels like SR should be adjusted for these longer races, so easy to get to S whilst smashing everyone off the track just because of how much of the race you are left racing against yourself.

Made a gif from a Race B last night.

I'm in the red Lexus. Driving like a mad man, end up side to side with nowhere to go. Guess that's what happens when you don't use the pavement.

1 race later starting from 9187/77 and only 1 other C in a room of Bs, loads of points if I can shift from Q16. Came 12th with only 1 stupid pen. Why do people brake so early for Corkscrew? I brake earlier than needed yet still get caught out by those braking half way up the hill.
9,053/85. It was a very close race for 8th to 14th so without the pen I could have had a couple of places, plus I wouldn't have had the idiot ramming me off and not getting a pen.
1 more then a big break, might get to 99, sad to think that 85 is S rated.
12 Bs 8Cs and Q15, but this is S so it will be clean  9th in the dirtiest race today. At lower SR ratings you usually only have 1 or 2 idiots, the rest are just people who don't know any better, at least 5 players bumped me about and because they know a bit about the pen system didn't actually get a pen. 9368/92. So 7 SR points gained in a game where I made no mistakes.

SR ~is essentially adjusted, as you earn SR points by sector each lap... so a longer race presents more opportunities to offset any single SR down incident... in principal the longer races should be easier to yield higher SR over the long run, but then again, if you have multiple SR downs in a longer race, you will dig a deeper hole.

What is always true is that it's much easier to get an SR down and go down in SR total, as each contact offense is -10... while you only earn a point at a time in each defined sector (not necessarily the timing sectors- I think PD define the SR sectors separately... you can tell by when the SR-up chevrons appear each lap).

If you want to see what you net in any given race outcome, you can see the discreet SR values earned at this, 'the other' site that I rely on for GT Sport metrics and race results:

https://gtsport.r1s3.net/user/13916120

Make sure to click on 'latest races' to see the individual race results, including the SR earned in that race.

You can usually see what a potential Clean Racing Bonus (CRB) is worth, by observing what the highest SR earned in a race is, here it seems a clean race in Race C this week is worth 17 or 18 points. A single contact SR down would net you 7 or 8 points, then, if otherwise run clean (contact SR being -10).

I must do a factory reset to my PS4.
It turns off when is in Rest Mode and I see some lag in XMB and games

But when the power is off, it works fine...

Today has been a frustrating day. This is what it looks like:

Did a race C, went for the WRX to see what it was like. Started 18th. It handled fine mostly though I seemed to be stuck to the sausage kerbs. Up to 6th as the faster guys pitted. Then of course they started to come back through which was fine; I wasn't going to fight them. Then I just went wide at turn 6. Thankfully didn't spin it but could only come back on at the top of the hill. A gaggle of cars passed me. Ended up 13th in the end.

Onto a race A. Was doing o.k. Picked up a penalty. I seemed to get it for cutting the Rettifilo. I was avoiding a car going steaming up my inside. But hey ho. This let many cars past after the PZ and I was DFL. Thankfully they had a bit of a coming together across the next lap and I caught up and made a few positions. I was behind a car going through Ascari and must have used too much kerb. I felt the car start to drift and by then it was too late. I was sent to the outside barrier. Crossed the line DFL.

Went to see if I could restore some pride on home soil at Brands. I wanted to try the RS01 as it seemed to be doing well. Shaved 0.7 seconds of my QT so it felt good, but very twitchy too. Still started 13th. I capitalised on some mistakes but wasn't really going to far ahead. Then coming through Westfield the car launched into a spin for no reason at all. (Well not really, but I drove it the same as normal) This did for that race and afterwards I saw I was now back in C. Went back in to see where I would be on a C grid. 11th or 10th as someone quit. Had an o.k. race. Again made positions. Lap 3 and my fellow Brit got up the inside at Druids. Even though I braked earlier into Graham Hill Bend due to the clutch of cars ahead we still concertinaed up. The tap I gave the Brit was so light it wouldn't be a legal assault here in the UK. However he still went spinning like I had gone for the punt. I got 3 seconds. I dropped a place or two and then made one back up finishing 7th. I apologised in the after race chat which he accepted. Must simply have been down to the angles of the two cars.

This game giveth and taketh, but not in equal measures.

Issue with 911 for me is kerbs, it really doesn't like them. Try the Beetle, it is so stable you can really attack the corners. Qualifying is EXTREMELY tight, I was in an all S/B room last night and 2nd through 13th was separated by less than a second, which is just crazy.

Another option is the lancer, not quite as fast as the beetle for me but very close. For me anyways, twitchy but handles well doesn't work here, i ned to cut it too fine to turn laps and risk spinning, has to be stable and drive hard.

Gotta love it when I'm in the Cayman(7/15) and all others are in Sciroccos and TTs. Not one other RWD or AWD on the grid! They scrap and take each other out, the seas part for me to be gifted the win. P1, in a TT 11.5 seconds ahead, pitted on Lap 7. I won by 6.5 seconds.
