nah that is clunky. Only way a limit would work is to have an option to practice and then a separate button for qualy with a limit of 10 laps for the week.
The problem with that is I improve over the week, I'm over 2 secs faster than I was to start and that's race pace too. So with a strict limit I would have to start from the back at the beginning of the week to save my Q laps for when I felt I was fast enough. Yes any system will have problems for some, don't know what would be best.

One shot qualy for every race, then your on the grid more or less depending on your pace on that day. Not playing yesterday and coming back today has even got me a little rusty so being placed on the grid according to my pace at the time wouldn't be so bad either.

That would be seriously annoying. Hard no.

Time to start using the sticks for steering and the triggers for throttle/brake. That's the fastest possible on a DS4 I believe.
I use stick, but some use motion to good effect. Motion seems OK, but a pain for long races/sessions. Would be nice to know what Max uses and he's one of the best DS4 players and the best I know of.

I do remember this race, lol... when you braked to let me by I wasn't expecting it and swiped you but surprised no penalties then the car that was behind me looked like smoked you right off track with 4 second penalty

When I first got to top split I'd always give the aliens the free pass since even though I out qualified them I wasn't stressed about points like them so I'd let them by and just nervous I'd make myself look bad. Now a days I'm just an a hole and if you want a spot go earn that  I got faster when I stopped worrying about others.

What laps times for race C are you getting in the gt? This is not a good one for me. Did qualify twice with a 2:01 but both times it didn't save and can only get a 2:02 now. Not even trying to race even with alt account. Very inconsistent and slide at the drop half the time in 3rd. Can't get on the throttle at the right time.

That would be wicked, just like FIA, you get a 5 min Qually which is good for one lap. Let the current Qually just be Free Practice with a leaderboard just like FIA does. 👍

It is. Think about radio/remote control cars. When we were young(er ;)), the remote had buttons to steer. When the controls changed to sticks (as prices came down), it's way more precise. Most radio controls have a tyre or wheel on the controller. Would be nice for someone to make a game controller like that. Think I posted the idea in a thread.

The GT is a very weak car around Bathhurst I haven't fooled with it really but in few laps I did manage around 2:00.3xx that MR drivetrain makes it a nightmare going down the mountain and the uneven surfaces don't really go well with the GT.

For those who haven't tried the Miyabi race yet, here's the kind of action you'll see when you don't qualify.
This is just one minute of dueling, but it goes like this for pretty much the whole race.
To me, this is some fun racing. :D

Without the b.s. penalty and the punt, it would have been winable. The slipstream is powerful.

Ah ok. I'm not crazy then. lol
Whats weird is I'm seeing all vettes in the top times for my region.

I'ts been fun. With all the contact, don't think I've seen any coloured arrows in my races.

There was a controller like this for the Megadrive or something about that time, it sucked as you are using both hand just for steering so how do you do anything else?

I picked Corvette after seeing the board filled with them.

It's been the fastest for me. Good downhill stability. Tried a few more cars (Supra, Genesis) and they felt less stable down the Esses.

Found both Astons to be better, but if it suits you then stick with it.

With my old radio control car, my left thumb is free. I guess, if there were thumb buttons, on the handle, to switch modes and view, that could work.

iRacing does this (though you get two flying laps, and the tire degradation isn't so bad that lap 2 is useless), but their races start at as long as our Race C and only get longer from there.

F1 also has one shot quali for the 'ranked' races and for the weekly ones with multiple attempts available it gives a small penalty if you retry the quali again iirc

Ran some daily race C's today and chopped up 3 into a 10 min video recap.

Anyways my first race not even in the video was in the dbr9 and it was abysmal for me but I think I may know why now but didn't during that race, regardless car was understeering on brakes like mad and just didn't feel anywhere like it did in qualy, started pole in a drop split lobby and limped home in 3rd.

Next race I said let's try something different and grabbed my supra, realized part way through the race (where my video starts) that something was up with my wheel and I decided to reset it down con rod straight, got my ABS working and more strength on FFB instantly and proceeded to spin out at t1 right after! Recovery drive after that and a bad 2 stop really.

2nd race was in the supra also a 2 stopper, more of a normal race finally.

3rd race also in the supra and my best of the day so far, did a 1 stop at lap 5 and stayed away from trouble to come home p2

I like the feel of the supras front end tbh and the tire wear is ok if your careful, it can hang with the vettes and hold its own down the straights. Feel I can push it more over the top of the mountain too.

Something about Bathurst and Gr. 3, that i truly enjoy. Probably one of my favourite combos. Gr.2 at Fuji was also a blast.

Tentative to bring out my main accounts, I've managed to find some pretty good race pace. Could easily be one of those weeks to try hard and up my DR, to 40k or more.

But depending on the next combo, I may tumble back down to reality.
