That was a short one, had nearly 2 mins at Bathurst and nearly half had quit.

The car shown as stuck in the pits caused it (maybe on purpose, maybe not) and when they left it fixed itself, if they don't leave it probably won't fix.
This glitch (it isn't always the same) has been around forever, don't think PD can fix it. :irked:

I ran two races in the -16 RC-F this morning when the races changed. They where ok, albeit a little bargey. The first I ran 3H/8M, that was a little sketchy at the end. Then I went 4H/7M and that was much better.
A few hours later my son asked me to run s race for him. He only has the -08 Lexus but we gave it a try. We did 4H/7M and the car was competitive in the lobby we where in. More than I thought possible actually.

2 race Cs and dropped 10SR, 5 each. Both games had someone off giving me a pen. Actually starting to enjoy RBR, but can't risk any more SR so it's back to the alt. Tried 5H/8M and it sort of worked because I was no longer racing so need to do 6H/7M. Some came in on 5 going M to H, I'm seriously...no I'm going to try a 2 stop see how it goes and 1/6/6 should give me free running most of the race.

This game obviously has a message for me.

Too good for C, not good enough for B. Back to C after race C this evening. Wasn't my performance, was just bad luck this time.

Race A.
Only got 2 shoddy laps in before the race started. So qualified DFL. Surprisingly no carnage into turn 1. But there was carnage at the left hander after the PZ. Made a few positions up. Then into turn 1 I get punted into the barrier. Back to DFL. Again next lap I catch up a little and gain positions out of turn 4. Someone else gets a run as I have to avoid someone going slow after an excursion. I see on the radar they looked to stick their nose up on the fast downhill kink. Not wanting to be spun I take avoiding action which means my line takes me into the wall. They had pulled out last second too. :irked: They get a run on my outside towards the hairpin. Of course I drift to the grass and then brake causing me to spin into the barrier. Back to DFL and 4 seconds off. Next lap someone was ghosted on the start/ finish straight and a place. Last lap I get someone wide through turn 4. Coming out of the hairpin a guy ahead gets a penalty. They obviously do not like this and enact revenge on the 'perpetrator'. 2 free places before the line and an 8th place finish. If I can sort my qualy out I might be o.k. here.

Race B.
I prefer Gardens the other way around. Just feels worse this way around.
Started 11th. Was doing o.k. and made positions as people fell off the road in a few places. Also lost a position to a wobble out of the last turn.
Then penultimate lap the car decides it doesn't want to take the first apex of Istanbul. I get it onto the grass and it slides sideways into the barrier. I am reset and loose a fair few positions. Cross the line 14th, last but 1.

Race C.
Set an o.k. lap then get a shortcut penalty on my next run so restart. First lap on this one I somehow pull a 1:23.095 out of a bag somewhere. This puts me under 3 seconds of the top EMEA time. Apart from shorter tracks I haven't been that close to the top before. This puts me 7th on the grid. The racing was close and generally fair. Only a couple of silly penalties everywhere. Turn 1 and 3 seem to be devoid of any silly punts. All looks good. Lap 2 and I outbrake myself into turn Schlossgold. Someone else does the same and I get a tap which beaches me. Get back on and make up a few places due to penalties. (Most likely the fault of the close racing, but no-one seemed to be acting dirty). Pit and my car just doesn't feel the same since getting hit. Just understeery. I do eventually find myself in 8th. The guy behind mucks up the end of the lap giving me some breathing space behind. (Good) Turn 1 I overcook it a bit and I'm on the Red. Someone activates a magnet on the outside of Niki Lauda Curve and the car faceplants into the barrier. Loose all my good work and cross the line 13th.

As I am constantly mixed with C rated drivers due to the low SR I just leech DR when mistakes or punts send me off. So back down to C rated. However due to only 1 .5 penalty in race C I do leave the day back in S SR. So not all bad and I have a goal to get back to B before the FIA starts.

While in pit I heard a "buzzing" sound I've never heard before. I don't know if I needed to refuel and the game did it for me, or I refueled by accident? I don't imagine refueling is necessary?

No refuelling needed this week. The buzzing was most likely the air guns used to change tyres.

Add me to the list of those preferring the reverse layout for DTG. This layout feels clunky and just isn't fun for me. Appear to need to cross the kerbs for a quick lap but doing so usually results in me going sideways or becoming a new Apollo mission. Add to this the lap I set leaves me in towards the bottom in every lobby I've been in so the DR is plummeting

It definitely wasn't the guns, it was a warning sound/alarm. I've pitted many times and have never heard t. Not a big deal, just thought I'd ask.
Ah right. Sometimes the game mimics real life with the warning sirens in the pits. This is to let people walking across the pit lane know a car is coming. I heard it last week at Monza but it doesn't always sound. It has no effect other than a bit of realism. So long as you select the tyre you want and necessary fuel you'll be fine.

Only managed to do 2 races this evening B & C, Hard tyre in C are useless and I ran 6H/7M but I think i might try 1/6/6 next time and do a qualifying run first. Times i set last time we had Gr2 at RBR where about 3.5 sec slower than I can do now so maybe this time I won't be running at the back.

Wondering looking at the posts am I the only one that likes the garden track running this way? I find once you get the feel for it in the right car it is really fun to drive and push the limits. The time I set this morning put me 7th at the start but I'm going to be disappointed if I can't take 2sec off as I went quicker in the race. We had a really clean race only1 guy had a penalty and he was the only 1 with red SR at the finish, somehow I don't think the week will be like that. Managed to finish 5th and should have more time tomorrow and working on the chicane as so much time to be had there on this track when you get it right.

Sure, that is how I do it.

I got my daughter to set QT. It was so good I fed her coffee and brownies and promised her a puppy if she ranked up in 24 hours.

She did.

She's four...

I am a bit afraid of her.

hahaha, no kidding. See I knew there was a reasonable explanation ;-)

Stop teaching kids. I don't need more competition.

jk. I wish this tech was around when I was young. It's a big step up from Hot Wheels and plastic models.

Yes, the account he is on is the original RacingGrandpa EMEA, where I now run Resident_Knievel. That way he got cars to paint and offline races to run. He is 12 but autistic so he can't cope with sport mode.

No, this is the right way. That's why the other direction has a II....

Back from a 4 week break and 2 things really stick out-PD,give me a proper blue flag with penalties and mandatory visible rear view mirror and or radar and i will pay whatever....just an observation...

Can't wait until the next McLaren P1 GTR/Ferrari 250GT garage car race.
In the case of any possible misunderstanding, let me clarify that the restricting of cars to create certain combos is obviously fine. Take the four hatchbacks provided this week, I can definitely say that nearly everyone has those cars and in the few cases someone doesn’t, they’ll definitely have the credits needed to purchase them since they cost almost nothing. I have a hard time believing that being a setting PD couldn’t set up.

On the other end of the spectrum, let’s say there’s a daily A with a couple of 10M, 15M and/or 20M cars. I’ve got all of them and I know I’m far from alone but I also obviously know that many are missing them. Solution? A setting where the race is restricted to these cars but they are not specially provided for everyone. If you’ve got them in your garage — you use them. If you don’t — you loan them.

Let us use the liveries people have created for daily A cars and let us have the kms/miles counted, not deleted.

This/our/their generation caught a break. We didn't get the dreaded WW III and instead we got a WWW.

@Mistah_MCA, I see that you have the 3rd fastest time at RBR/Gr2 (Americas). I have found your ghost laps to be especially useful - you tend to pick natural lines (rarely crazy stuff) to lay down a good time. Plus, for RBR, you have used the non-META Lexus, my preferred vehicle. I am at 1:22.5 and my goal for the week is 1:22.0.
Thank you thank you :]

Lexus RC F '16 deserves a bit of love. It feels good to drive, and in my opinion, the driving experience is almost similar to the 2016 GT-R.
