Tried the WRX at Suzuka? It might be worth a try - I can't drive the EVO either really, find it's handling to be reminiscent of a brick. The WRX, though, handles really well! You'll need to get on the power really early though, as it's not very fast, but if you can keep momentum up it's pretty reliable. I think I'll be using either the Viper or the Citroen GT if I can't get the WRX on point for this one.
Tried the WRX. It does handle a lot better than the Evo, but I'm still slow with it. I tried my 458 Italia. I did much better and set a new personal best qualifying time. It's easy for me to throw that car around and not really lose control of it. I think if I put in some more time with it, I should be able to have a couple decent races with it.

I also have a gripe. On the 1-make races, they don't let you use user-created liveries. It always switches it back to the stock color. Which I don't like. To me, it's a way to personalize your car/truck to stand out from the crowd.

I have always hated the credit system, we should have all the cars from the get-go, it's asinine, i am not a child. Are we racing or are we gamers?
I'm ok with a credit system. Kind of adds some fun to obtaining cars. It's obnoxious when it's as grindy as it is in GTS though. Prior GT titles were much better for credits. I think campaign mode is mostly fine for payouts -- could be a bit higher, but I'll take it. What gets me is how online mode barely pays unless you're top of the field most times. They should at least double the payout for online racing so you don't feel penalized for poor placements.

Otherwise laid down some laps on Race A and got a 2:42, best of 2:40 so I've got some work to put in, but I'm liking the combo so I may spend my time here this week. Should be fun racing.

I don't know if I'll do many of the daily races this week.....if any. I just did some laps at each track with the appropriate car(s)/truck. Good lord the Tundra ***** slow. Like, it takes a couple seconds for it to actually change gears, slow. And that uphill section? I was ready to each lunch for how long it took to get up the hill.
I'm not disagreeing with this statement, I'm just trying to figure out if you got censored because of a lack of letters. "Shift" is my first thought & I know we all know what you are saying. If you said "shifts" & were typing too fast (missed the "f"), then I understand the stars in your comment.

But, to make this post relevant, I think I'll at least set some quali laps just to see how bad racing a truck on the mountain will be. :ill:

LOL, I didn't even notice that. It was supposed to be "shifts", but I may have missed the "f".
Daily Race “B”

1st Race
Started 10th; finished 12th
I made my way up to 8th, but then I ran wide twice on the final turn. It’s kind of difficult to maintain your position when you do that. Pretty clean race between other drivers, though.

2nd Race
Started 7th; finished 5th
A much better race, for me; no miscues or runoffs. I had 1 minor incident with another driver. There was a bit of chaos happening ahead of me. Someone ran off the track, and when they rejoined, they came on right in the middle of 2 other cars. They were ghost, but came out of it right when I got there. I hit the brakes, but I tapped them in the rear end a tiny bit. Nothing major, really. I actually helped them pick up speed. They went on, as did I. I was being challenged by 6th, but I guess he ran wide or almost spun or something. I looked back, and he was nowhere near as close as he was earlier.

Decided to try a Race A. Started 7th/finished 8th. First lap was messy, 2nd lap got to follow BenRod for a full lap, that was so fun.

So I tried again.. Got pole. Less fun but.... :D

Tried 1 Race B this morning. Started 7th/finished 5th. Good race.

Learned that you can read PSN names in different ways. Like ones with the word "assassin".
I'm sure he's harmless.

Me if I spin the Tundra on the way down the mountain.

Race B first.
13th to 9th. Tried in the 650S. Was o.k. but my brief time trial in the 86 after shed over a second off my time. A bargy Brit ruined a few racers in the last couple of laps. I took advantage.

Race A.
3rd to 3rd. Lost positions in the shuffling first lap. People are going wide through the cutting so there is an easy overtake there. The leader was pushed off out of the chase by his fellow Italian. I wasn't going to say no to the free place. Feels like this needs a 3rd lap.
Also please to be this high on the leaderboard for the moment.

Race C.
Was in the DBR9 which feels good, surprisingly.
13th to 17th.
Got into the top 10 after my pit. I decided to undercut a gaggle of drivers I was stuck in and pitted lap 5.
A few laps from the end I spun it coming out of Panasonic. (Stupid car!) Went to DFL, but gained a place when some other poor sod did the same. Ah well.

Last week was good for me.

Put a bit more than 3 000 km on the Nissan
Net DR. gain of 7 300
Reached A+ for more than one day this time.

I did one race Saturday evening and it was anything but racing. Will never try that again.

This week races seems boring. I will gladly skip them.

Why are the brakes on the Tundra so much better than on any of the N-class sports cars we typically get for Race A?
I was thinking to myself today either I've got really good at driving or this is not what a truck would feel like going downhill at full speed. I chose to believe the Tundra is awesome.

Nice! My first attempt in SR.A, from 8th to 3rd, now in SR.B lol. This has nothing to do with racing. Fight for the inside then let momentum do the work... Maybe it will get better, Monday, after school, dirty hour approaching. Watch out for missiles after the chase. People like to straighten it out to take out the cars following the road... Then block in the penalty zone.

Yep better start on pole in this one!

Because for some reason PD put race tires on it.

Second attempt, victory. People are so busy fighting in SR.B you can just sneak through :) The other car that made it out the first couple corners was clean, we swapped places a couple times and both blue SR. Fun race, but would be better if more people were in a race mindset instead of wreck fest. :)

Race A is dumb. 2nd place on the grid starts fractionally in the lead and automatically gets a better launch than pole so leads into turn 1, that means you either have the wrong car winning the race or a pissed off pole sitter pushing the leader off at turn 1.

That's how my race went. Fell to 2nd on T1 then followed until the penalty zone on the 2nd lap.

We got a bit of a lead but others caught up near the end. If the car in 2nd let me go ahead, we would have moved faster and it would have worked out better for them.

I'm excited to do Race C tomorrow. I qualified in the Corvette at 1:37.969 and it would take a great deal of effort to do any better. Not gonna bother.

I think I'll use the Porsche for the actual racing and hope for some miracle top tens.

Because it's running on racing slicks. Normally, A-class cars use Sports Hard tires, but the Tundra is equipped with Racing Hards.

Bathurst is honestly one of the most awful tracks to race on. Time attacks can be fun, but putting multiple cars on it just causes chaos, especially in games...

Times are kinda uncompetitive, #1 hits the wall at the esses and takes a couple turns not-so-quickly. I could beat Quinten but I can't connect my best sectors...I'm really close though.

As of this post, I am 1 second behind a top 10 time at Suzuka with a 51.198! I think that's cool that I can be that quick around here. Even better, I'm rocking the Slophy (was in in the top 10 when I started this evening) and I know I have some room to improve. The final hairpin is giving me some trouble so far, but once I get that down I'll be good.

3rd place is the place to be down the chase. So far #1 and #2 have always taken each other out lol. This combo is better than wreck fest. I'm stuck in SR.B though, despite a bunch of blue Bs in a row and CRBs, SR isn't moving.

I really hate this week's Race C. Bit of background. Relatively new to GT. Rated 99/99 sportsmanship but only D driver Rating.

The clip below is Fuji. I've had 3 races tonight, each time I've been punted off the track at various locations, but I think in all 3 I've been rammed at the Dunlop Chicane.

The clip is particularly bad. I start in 6th and really take my time, particularly because the idiot Italian in the Peugeot in front is driving like an arse. 1st corner, he uses the VW to make his turn, 2nd corner he goes wide, 3rd corner wide and a penalty. So I take my time.

On the home straight, he weaves the whole track after taking his 0.5second penalty. Clearly an idiot.

I take the lead into the first corner of lap 2. By the time I get to Dunlop I have a 0.6 second gap lead over my Italian friend and he just shunts me in the braking zone, allowing him to make the corner and shafting me.

It seems this is the go to tactic for Fuji and it really ruins the game for me. Feel there isn't severe consequences for these actions.

File won't upload. Link to me getting Yeeted off the track!

For race B, the 4C is the fastest, but also the hardest to control. It likes to slide a lot.

The 86GT and Genesis are good stable alternatives. The Genesis is faster on the main straight but not as fast as the 4C in the corners, you can help yourself by shifting the brake bias all the way to the rear.

Ran a couple more DR "B"s. Got punted off in the 1st race; finished 10th (started 5th). The 2nd race I started 3rd and finished 3rd. I got passed on the straight (slipstream), but then 2nd place decided to play sand box and took a spin up ahead. That allowed us both to pass. On the final lap, coming out of the final corner, I took a look back (I was already on the straight) the person behind me ran a little wide, got sideways, but have enough momentum to stay ahead of 5th. He crossed the line almost sideways, lol. I was actually cheering for him, saying, "Hold it! Hold it! Hold it! Recover, recover.....)
