After a weekend playing GT7, I fired up GT Sport last night to do Race B because I can't stay away from BMB even in the reverse direction. I did the first race without qualifying and started last and finished 10th, which was as high as I could get because the back of the pack lost the slipstream before I could get through it. After qualifying in the Corvette, I got pole for the next 4 races and won 2 and finished 2nd in the other 2. It was great to see that the races felt like they hadn't lost participation in spite of only having 3 friends who set qualifying times, compared to over 10 in Race A in GT7 (which is still pretty much empty).

Sorry don’t wanna nitpick, but the Red Bull Ring is more near the city of Graz than Salzburg, Graz is the Capitol of the Steyr
And Spielfeld, Ehrenhausen to be exact is just around the corner. I spent a few summer vacations there, because part of my family still lives there.

I've only started gtsport back up a few weeks ago (gotta get that platinum before server shutdown) and had no problems doing races A and B. But this week I can't seem to change turn the traction control off in race A. It gives me a Regulation Violation. And if I turn it off via Driving Options it just goes back to 3 again.

Are you just forced to drive with traction control on this week, is it buggy, or am I just missing something?

Have to admit...not a fan of ovals but decided to run BMB today. What. A. Blast. Close racing, strategy and angry drivers at a buck-eighty!! Sure some a$$-clown will bang up the good times here and then but, overall, there's some great racing going on in there. Managed a 42.735 and still feel like there's time on the track...exit speeds, primarily. Gotta find a couple more MPH for the main straight.

Anyway, glad to see things haven't chilled out too much since GT7 arrived. I'm no fool, the day is upon us and all...well, the day is upon us, at least.😁

Hope to see y'all out there!

I've managed to set a Top 10 leaderboard time (we'll see how long it lasts...) in the Corvette, and I'm 1 of only 2 non-Evo's in the Top 10 in the Americas (with a Ford GT just 1 spot in front of me that I'm now determined to beat ). That means I'm on pole for virtually every race. Unfortunately while I can hustle the Corvette around the track pretty quickly in qualifying due to its better corner speed over the Evo, in the race, the Evo's better top speed makes it very hard to defend against, especially if there's multiple of them all attacking at once on the final lap. So out of 8 poles so far this week, I've only gotten 2 wins. I've managed to finish as the first non-Evo in almost every race, but against a horde of Evos the Corvette isn't a match. I'm gonna try to stick with it until Sunday before finally using the META though.

Know what you mean...while not top 10, I think this is the first time I've been top 50 in my region and have been having a LOT of fun at BMB. Mostly pole to start and a bump-draft party from there. Get's messy pretty quick from unintended errors, let alone those that seem to have a penchant for ruining for all, but still ends-up a really good time. Have added a couple to the 'W' column so it's all good!

Actually, they were right.
Nope! Capital is a where it seats of government for a state or country. It can also be used in the finance work as cash or assets... capitol refers to a building used by a federal or state legislature... ex: Washington DC is the CAPITAL of the US where congress convenes at the CAPITOL building... more than this I will have to draw... lol

Dang it, ok you were right  . That's what I get for skimming the Google preview of a Grammarly post instead of actually reading the post...

Doing pretty good on Race C from the back this week. Got multiple fastest lap, love the flow of the track with this heavy downforce cars.

Had to deal with attempt murder and dirty blocker but in general the racing is good.

Well I tried the Blue moon bay race twice, finished 10th the first time and then I didn't do so well the 2nd time as you can see below!
What is the most reliable car to use with good solid slipstreams and cornering well.

Looking at the board, and from being in entire FIELDS of Lancer Evo's, that seems the consistent winner @ BMB. Others that I've been in races with that finished first/ahead of me:
  • 911 RSR
  • Huracan
  • AMG SLS
  • R8
  • Ford GT
Seriously though, it usually looks more like 'Evo Spec Racing' on the grid and really distills it down to one variable...driver. Great fun from a strategy perspective. Being in front is only awesome as you're crossing the finish line and every second prior can feel like a white-knuckled death match...so lovin' it!

BMB from the back doesn't really work. The ones in the back are not interested in working together to climb up to the front, instead they're hell bent on defending 14th place  I guess I need to put in a qualifying time as I'm just duking it out with the last 2 and who ever gets smacked into the wall and catches up again.

I've won 5 races this week in the Corvette...and finished 2nd and 3rd behind an Evo or 2 WAAAAAAY more often, in spite of qualifying the Corvette quickly enough to start on pole in most of my races.

Yep from my experience it's rare anyone behind 5th stays in the slipstream beyond Lap 2. The 1 race I did without qualifying I started 16th and could only manage 10th because 9th was way too far ahead by the time I got there.

If the servers are planned to close in the near future, I want the game to have the final patch which allows it to function on all single player content without an internet connection.

Well I guess it really depends on how well I do running a lap on the circuit, if I can get close to the pole position I can have a higher probability of winning but I would have to stay focused and not slack off.

Final tally from Race B this week is 18 wins and 27 poles, all in the Corvette. I could've had more in the win column if not for being shoved into the wall on the final corner on the last lap, and I could've also snagged a few more wins if I'd also ignored sportsmanship and shoved the leader into the outside wall at the end of the race...

Now that I'm done racing for this cycle, I finally decided to use the Evo for qualifying just to see how much better I could do in the META, and found almost a tenth over my best time in the Corvette, which was amazingly good enough for 5th on the Americas leaderboard...

If this holds this will be my first time ever staying on the leaderboard for a Daily Race.

What's up with the daily races on GT7? Now there is only one available, do they want us to go back to GT Sport or what?
Already have. They really didn’t need to mess it up any further but have managed to do so. How do you have so long to perfect a game, a fully working model in GTS, the same Company creating the product and still get it so wrong!

Looking forward to the races this week in GTS but do have one fear....I have NO idea how to turn LEFT. 😁

Really though, spent the entire week on BMB (and wrapped with 700 miles last night). Going left feels weird. To anyone I pi$$ed-off, please know that it wasn't intentional. Not an oval guy so my "draft-craft" leaves a lot to be desired, I am sure, and I really struggle with race nerves.

Haven't bought GT7 yet, still having too much fun in GTS. First time I've ever been 'A' ranked, tons of clean/pole/win runs and some great drivers still in there makin' you earn it. I just hope they keep GTS going until they roll/iron-out more of '7. With any luck they'll watch adoption rates and scale accordingly. Making money and bleeding it can be a fine line, I suppose.
