Had a great time at Spa in December, but the lobbies are now mostly empty (much like this forum!).

Wonder if the new set of races, which I assume are coming next week, will revive the lobbies, or are we witnessing the final demise of GTS?

Haven't even been over there this round...I doubt that's gonna change at this stage. Still having a blast at LM and there's still a bunch of people racing. Typically running 12+ with full lobbies pretty regularly. Attendance is down, though, that's for sure. Still plenty of people left kickin' my a$$, so it's still a great time with some awesome racing on-tap.

Attendance in GTS sorta ebbs-and-flows with what they have on offer in '7 but, the end is near, I fear. I hope it's around forever, but it won't be. Maybe they'll give us a couple months to accommodate those poor souls that just got a shiny new copy for Christmas.

Maybe I should head over to LM before these races go away. I like the track, but can’t get the big hairpin right (the right hander at the bottom of the track - T5?).

Love this track, no matter how over-used, and highly recommend stopping in for a minute.

The Gr.4's there are a blast. Small cars + wide tracks = lines all over the place. Cars are fast enough to keep it interesting and, with the mediums on, you can be fast almost anywhere. Well, except the grass...even the wrx is slow through that.😁

New races are available today, did you guys see?

Ugh, the C races are at the Nordschleife track again which is my least favorite because of the long length and number of turns/corners. Even though it's 2 laps it still would be a challenging race as there is limited room on the track.

Yeah, wasn’t happy about the ‘Ring for Race C. Never been able to learn it and as you say too narrow for racing.

Odd that we’re back at Gardens in Gr.3 so soon (tho’ driving the other way I think).

What’s the car (N100) in A?

Freakin' sweet, The 'Ring and it's NOT the GP/24h course!!

I know a lot of folks don't like the track/racing there but this one might not be TOO bad given we're in the Gr. 4's. DTG should be fun and you are correct, we're goin' the wrong way this time.😁

Maybe I’ll try and learn the Ring this time! We’ll have a month of racing after all and I have 4k DR to lose before I drop to B :(

I always think of this way ‘round Gardens as the ‘right’ way as one of the first manufacturers’ cup races I did on GTS back in the day was clockwise. Still terrible at the 4 corners though!

So, what are your thoughts on the Daily race A? I feel that this car (Fiat) is very slow, not a big fan of these. But it is what it is. I will mainly do the Dragon-Gardens II races, and maybe the Nürburgring one, idk yet. It's such a long complex course, anything can happen out there!

Hi all. Just back to GT Sport after a long break. Race B was fun this weekend and mostly clean, but I definitely prefer this track in the other direction. Anyone know how long these races will last before being replaced? Not sure if I have it in me to re-learn Nurburgring, unless it's going to be around for a while .....

Welcome back!!

Races have been running for a month at a time and these just popped-up last week. Still got three weeks to go.

Hi, welcome back. Yeah I have cut back on GT sport now since I bought gt7 in October and started playing it around Halloween. Wish I hadn't procrastinated, but oh well. I hope you'll stay with us. Would you like to add me as a friend?

Hey guys, how's your week gone? It's been mostly good racing in EMEA. I'm sticking with race B, usually in the RCZ. Had a bunch of podiums and even a few wins, so pretty pleased 🙂

Anyone else struggle with racing at your favorite track? For instance, can lay down a great qualifier but, and for whatever reason, actually racing on the course with others simply does NOT work out kinda thing...

That was the 'Ring for me this round. Without question, my absolute favorite track to be on. I was amped when they posted the races as I thought it was gonna be my nirvana for the month. My happy place.

Nope.

Failed miserably, if not epically, and ended-up in full-on rage quit mode first time out. Sads. Then I started doin' laps, and laps, and laps. Finally landed a decent time which put me towards the front -BUT- I also learned how to drive all over that damn thing. Once I got comfortable running off the racing line (which is like three feet to the left or right here) life got LOADS easier. Found my happy space again and was able to bask in some victory awesomeness to close the week out. Wins feel good no matter where you are...they just feel 'gooder' at the 'Ring.

Looking forward to the next round of races but this reaffirmed for me that, if we were to be stuck with one track to race on, The 'Ring would be my choice. I'm sure there are more that disagree than agree on that, though.😁

Glad it picked up for you man, and congrats on the "W". I find the 'Ring is too narrow for competitive racing, just too processional. It's certainly a great challenge though 🙂

Appreciate it!

Admittedly, it's more a personal accomplishment than anything else. It is NOT a great track for door-to-door racing and I am simply not at a skill level to pull it off for any period of time. BUT, and for me, this track is sorta unique in that it is a constant pressure cooker. You can never relax, save a couple seconds on the main straight. Even that is fraught with anxiety because you know what's at the other end. for me, this one is as much about the psychology as it is the physics.

The biggest thing, though, was being clean and competitive. I showed-up to the GTS world late and full of attitude. I was an idiot...I kicked the door open thinking I was badass and untouchable. I spent 20+ years schooling AI, how could I lose??? Yeah, first race knocked that haze of ignorance right off me. Two years later, being able to keep up with/pass people without 'realming' them is the accomplishment I was looking for.

Have fun and always enjoy the drive!

Hi all, I decided to jump back into this one due gaining the platinum on gt7 (first GT plat ever gained) surprisingly the lobbies are all still full and the racing is fierce! I’m going for the platinum on this too, I only have 150 races/14 wins/13 poles so it’s going to take a while but I’m loving this 4 weekly rotation, the times I am getting on A/B are near alien!

Good to have you here, hope to meet you in race soon. I'm recently back to GT Sport myself. (Congrats on the Plat for GT7 by the way!)

Race B has been good to me this week, bringing me closer to the end of my own GT Sport platinum journey. Currently have a total of 90 wins online so just one more needed, and then just the small matter of the offline grind to level 50......

Player numbers are down but, you are right, the competition is TIGHT! Having the races on one month rotations means ERRRYBODY is clipping ridiculous times by the end of week two.

Curious if the GT7 platinum was easier/harder to get? I saved what was for me the worst until last...grinding through the points for levels. Not sure if anyone has better options but running 2 laps @ Sarthe in the Nostalgia series seemed to be a quick route for me. Fully tuned P4 or XJ-13 can blast around there twice in less than seven minutes. Even the 'Pig' can do it in seven or so...and it's cheaper.

Welcome back and maybe I'll see you out there. I've been actin' a fool over at race 'C' so far....

Cheers, I’m finding that the circuit experience were very easy to get on the back of gt7, which really hurt to get (thinking Bathurst) but I had the ps5 and 4 plats both drop at once to it was worth it, gt sport I think will take a while more tbh

Not much free time these days, so if I'm racing it's usually somewhere after 11pm (UK time). Managed to fit in one quick race last night, and picked up the 91st win with a lights to flag victory.

@mellofello9 - thanks for the advice on the XP grind. 👍

Looks like a new set of races this Sunday night. C will be at Nurb GP in Gr.3. A is two laps at Bathurst in N400 cars, and B is Gr4 at Sardegna A. Not bad I think.

Ran a few races in B and C last night. My races in B were as expected when the lobby is full of A+, A, and B racers. I settled in at the rear and drove around luckily not finishing last due to some drop outs. This happened for both races.

Had a better set of races in C and finally made it to C/S.

The second race C actually stunk, finished 2nd but should have been 3rd. Everyone dropped out of the race by the start of the 2nd lap and only left 3 of us to race. In the end 2nd actually took the flag but the top 2 had to wait for my finish in order the start the end of race timer. They quit before I finished which must have caused they to DNF and gave me 2nd. I would have been happy with 3rd but did learn that little important fact about the end of race timer.

Finally. Granted being snowed in one week and then being sick the very next wasn't doing me alot of favors, but I can finally finish off those remaining trophies this month (Assuming I'm not getting down with the sickness again).

Hi, I see from your footer that you're a TPC guy! I used to race a bit with those guys a couple of years ago. Nice group 🙂

Sad to see the classic go as I'm not a huge fan of the GP course but Sardegna in the Gr.4's is gonna be a blast. This is gonna be the third month in a row for me and the WRX. Given there's 16K miles on the poor abused lump that's under the hood now, I sure am glad motors can't fall out of these things. 😁

Never really get into the Race A offerings, but this weeks seems particularly unsavory...climbing the mountain in N400's is gonna take a month, lol. Might have to give that one a go just because.

Wooooow is the light messin' with me at Sardegna, lol. Of all the things I have done here, driving at sunset hasn't been one of them. Gettin' old sucks...

Freakin' blast out on the track, though. Have had some amazing races and door-to-door scuffles, just makes you want to run it again. I'm out blastin' around in the Viper as I don't get along with FF cars. Just never 'clicked' with me and the old Dodge seems up to the task. Forgot how fun this thing is to drive. Coming off the WRX at the 'Ring, at least the understeer is a LITTLE better. WRX just doesn't have the legs for the two straights there.

Haven't messed with the trucks and just not feelin' the GP circuit after being on the Nord' for a month. Looks like I'll be campin' @ 'Degna for a while.😁

Hope the racin' is great for all I'll see you out there!
