Next week is double Gr4

A: Sardengna C N500 6 laps
B: Lago Maggiore Centre 2, Gr4 7 laps
C: RBR Short, Gr4 7 laps (WET)

A&B are 12 players
C is 16.
No 20 car race.

There's a mix up on Kudos, race C will be Monza, Gr1 and tires x7 on racing medium. Maggiore center is the week after.

How do you know that?
Well RBR is in a different section, says race A and 7 laps was never going to be a race C. How he knows it's Monza is beyond me, maybe he has a better crystal ball.

The dates.

Race B Maggiore Monday, August 16, 2021

RBR Short Track Monday, August 9, 2021
Oh I wasn't saying he was wrong. It would make a lot of sense tbh.
Just wondered how he knew, especially as he had replacement ready to go.

For a heads up, there are some programming guys out there who know how to get that stuff. There is a streamed who has a Bot on his discord that seems to be able to find the stuff even before kudos can find it. I would be suspicious, but it hasn't missed in the 9 months I've kept up with it.

Shout out to @kirethk The guy with the discord

Did 4 races in NA 5-6 hours ago, then swapped to EMEA. All race B, all in the Lamborghini.
Same QT, same DR, same SR.
In NA I started in the top 6, in EMEA I was p13-p15.
In NA there was a few dirty drivers but the majority was clean, the racing was tight and hard but not dirty.
In EMEA it was cutthroat island.
And subtle but deadly stuff. A Russian player in a GTR tapped my rear quarter just as the car got light over the dip in the esses.
DFL in one move and he received nothing. ( Edit: I had gone from p14 to p8 on two laps then)

In NA I collided with a fast guy in a GTR,he had been sent off in the same corner on lap 1 and we where too fast, too close so there wasn't room.
It was a racing incident and it cost him 2 spots. But I said sorry and he was ok with it
In EMEA everyone is pissed over a slight mistake that costs no one nothing, still they start fighting...

Lack of coffee??

There was however a very clean and very sportsmanship filled driver in a Subaru in the EMEA race.
Shout out to Speck_Tuba if they is on here. I will be happy to share a track with you anytime!

I think is all about having confidence with the car/circuit. I choose one race per week and i practice just on that one. And i keep improving all the week. If i start to mix cars, change race all the time it starts to be a mess. That’s what i do. Trying to be consistent. But just racing online u can improve.
With your advice and choosing one race I kept at my skills, and qualified better, and lost a few before I got this one this morning.
Thank you.

No racing this week as I have life stuff to attend to but jumped on to try Race B as on paper, it looks like a track I should be half decent at. It does feel a little Sardegna in it's layout, a lot of full throttle corner or fast corners and not a lot of big stops.

Tried the FT-1 or whatever it is called, I tend to prefer this over the SUpra as i find it almost as agile but more stable. Also tried the GTR which I usually hate but it felt absolutely ON RAILS and incredibly fast, like rocketship fast.........until the clock stopped and I was a SOLID 1.5 seconds off my FT-1 time over and over again

Fastest lap was a mid-9 but optimal a 2.08.4 which is right where my peers seem to be at.

I do have a VERY hard time remembering corners on tracks that seem "sameish". My fast lap and optimal are so far apart because I cannot remember where I am on track, so many of the right handers feel identical upon approach but are really different and I cannot remember which is which. For the same reason i absolutely STINK at Le Sarth and Nurburgring, done a million laps but absolutely dead set cannot remember the intricacies of the next series of turns so I am not attacking like I should.

Kudos is fixed now.

Next week
A: Sardegna C N500 6 laps
B: RBR Short, Gr4 7 laps (WET)
C: Monza, Gr1 12 laps

16/08/21
A: Lago Maggiore Centre 2, Gr4 7 laps
B: Big Willow, Gr3 5 laps
C: Sardegna B, Gr2 14 laps

Oh my goodness just saw the Group 2 Race C in 2 weeks. WHY then? I am away for a week dammit, unbelievable. That will be a ton of fun.

Sardegna B and group 2 is going to be a real fun combo! Plus I always love the challenge of big willow.

Nothing interests me next week. Looks like this will be the week to test drive ACCand PC2 on console

Matchmaking seems off this week. I have been put in races full of A and A+ all week.

The race I did just now had two A+ and A starting behind me. It's nerve wracking because the chances of them passing cleanly are very low. And I wasn't wrong. Like, it's lap 1 and you gotta barge past me on the esses? Okay then.

The A guy was very respectful, though. Shout out to him. I think I learned from staying in his slipstream until I wasn't.
I looked at your DR. You are getting good... that is the problem. Seriously, welcome to the top split. You are at that cutoff point where you will bounce between the top and second split depending on the volume of players. Enjoy!

Are there any of you who race without a radar? It sure is a handy resource.

At the daily races, it's best to assume that the driver behind you will be using a boneheaded fast-in, slow-out technique for the turns.
The radar can help you avoid collisions.
Just had one for the archive today. Race C, I'm with the Slophy and behind a overall slower WRX. For 1.5 lap I'm trying to find my way around but the Slophy is slow on the straight. So each time I manage to get alongside him, he just block or try to push me wide. He finally outbrake himself in the first part of spoon and I can easily take the inside line and leave him far"ish" behind on the straight. Coming to the braking zone for the last chicane, I peak a look at the radar under braking and at the turn in I keep my wheel straight and he blast past me and into the wall.:D

I left a little GG EZ in the chat before he left.
Going live at DTG, so you can see what kind of crap is going on there.
Gonna try not to start any fights.

WOW! That's what DR.D race looks like  Man... it's..... something! How did you get there in the first place, only PD knows...
But the second race with DR.A A+ was barely better :yuck:
Next week
A: Sardegna C N500 6 laps
B: RBR Short, Gr4 7 laps (WET)
C: Monza, Gr1 12 laps
All of next week races will be a blast!

Race A with something more powerfull than N.300, count me in!
Race B on the wet, long time no see. I'm bringing my Suby and umberella
Race C Gr.1 Monza, time for old group C car to shine. (maybe)

Also, all those races will be better race from the back, which I enjoy!

I'm in the same spot at the moment, one race will be a couple of A drivers and a field of Bs, then the next will be all A with a few A+ at the top. I much prefer the A rooms, even starting towards the back it's much more rewarding when I have a good race.

Thanks, man! Yeah, it's definitely educational. I think I'm starting to understand what you preached before about participating in combos that are uncomfortable in order to learn. So I'll give the Gr1 Monza a try just like I gave Gr4 Suzuka a try.

But Gr2 Sardegna the following week - hopefully that will be my time to shine. Seems like everyone here is thinking the same. Lol

Topic: Group 3 and Brake Balance.

Confession: I am a one trick pony... I run Gr 4 FFs and set the BB at Rear 3,4 or 5 - almost no thought required.

For this week I have been running Group 3 with the Nissan GT-R. I have set it to BB Rear 3 to help with turn-in but it makes it more susceptible to wheelspin on exit when running TCS=0. For QT I am sticking with TCS=0. I am now adjusting to BB Rear 2.

What are your recommendations for BB setting in FR Group 3 cars and why?

I hope to one day be able to drive the GT-R or M6 without spinning. That takes finesse that I just don't have yet. It took a lot of effort to come to grips with the 458.

For FR cars, I like to run 0 or +1. For me, the +1 adds a little extra stability. As the exception to the rule, I typically run the Corvette at 0. They have modeled the handling similar to MR cars.

Whoops, I almost forgot. Nobody had a clip to hit the IOTW. But @BenRod does make a guest appearance.

I almost exclusively run FR cars in GR.3 (just what feels best to me), and I usually end up at either 0 or -1 (Front) for most. THis week I've been running the V12 Vantage at -1 and the F-Type at 0. Have also been playing with the 458 and I've been at 0 most of the time.

I'm not exactly sure how it works, but for me brake balance in FR cars goes like this (and I could be way of from what you feel, just my experience) > Positive (Rear) gives oversteer on entry but understeer on exit (will also make an unstable car twitchy on exit (as you described in the GT-R), Negative (Front) fives understeer on entry and oversteer on exit. I usually like -1 (Front), as long as I hit my turn in, the car feels much better on exit and seems to grip better on the way out.

Now I wish we had some older Gr.4 cars to use like we have the F1 in Gr.3. The Group A Calsonic R32 would be a nice choice for next week's race.
