yay nurburgring night raining hot lap in a C9 !!!
Well, we don't know to what extent the weather and day cycles will be included ... it's not something that's easy to model, and the Nurburgring is hardly a small circuit. It may be a case of being able to race at night or in the rain, but not both.

I hope night racing with rain is possible; resulting in very difficult races with limited light.

You see head lights with wet roads don't mix well and light doesn't reflect to where you can see the road well. If it mimics light being (metaphorically) eaten by the wet roads, we might be seeing a lot of races under these circumstances by thrill seekers.

I wonder if there will be thunderstorms, fog at high elevations, dust and sand storms\gusts. In rainy conditions will the grass or gravel turn to mud?

My mouth is watering.

But hell I'm happy just with the Course Editor's Point To Point ability. Everything else is bonus.

What's the big deal?? We've had weather and night in GT for a LONG time.

They're being very elusive about the actual cycles and so far we've only seen it on Toscana so I'm going to wait with baited breath. A long time ago they raved about GT3's "amazing new weather effects" pre-release, and what we actually got was a single wetted track. PD and the people who speak for them certainly aren't afraid to fuel huge expectations.

Having said that, I understand it's a very hard thing to do, so I'd be happy if there were a few different fixed weather conditions for each track. I wanna do Trial Mountain under a heavy sky, or Tokyo in the wet, rather than just sun sun sun. A little variation on each course would be plenty for me if dynamic isn't possible.

Maybe there is different weather conditions that are optional but not dynamic Ex: Choose Tsukuba Rain, it rains , but no sun, Choose Wet its wet but no rain, Choose clear and thers no rain or wetness.

Then again we've seen tracks labeled Premium, so my guess is that those are either newly modeled or remodeled tracks to support "premium" effects, such as the premium cars support greater levels of visual damage and such.

So a basic Dynamic weather system on SOME tracks isnt impossible.

I'd love to drive SS circuits at dawn or Opera Paris at midnight with only the lampaderes to light up the cobblestone. Or George V at noon complete with the excessive Parisian dog poop.

Just a though, will there be different levels and and stages of rain? Like thundershowers to small drizzle, etc.

I really hope they are able to nail the ambient sounds of a rainy scene.
