Most people are Type nat2, I have no heard of anyone beeing Type1 although I am sure they exist.
Even wifi from a hotel connection is type nat2.
The nap type of connection, except for type nat3, is not the issue for lagging.

I have NAT1 :) had nat3 a while but with nat3 you can't join races hosted by other nat3 drivers and can have problems with seeing others with nat3 in races.. something like that. So I made it nat1.

Thanks for today's races, guys. I'm glad I made it.

It being my first time using this formula, I felt a bit on both ends of the spectrum. :dunce:

Good
- courteous racers, in very tight proximity
- fun to see everyone's various car choices
- amazing to see where everyone's strengths and weaknesses were (corners vs straights)

Bad
- my DeLorean felt so good in the lounge alone last night, 1'14.3 and 137mph, but I don't think I hit either of those today. Maybe my eyes weren't open all the way
- forgot about grid starts so my first gear was...shall we say...sub-optimal.
- had a couple incidents that were my fault, but hopefully you could see me waiting up

I doubt my schedule will allow me to join for the Monday timeslot, but I'll see if I can make some more of these Saturdays. 👍

PS And I see Cote's already signed up for the WRS event on Feb 16. :)

If someone can send me the results I'll post them up in an official "Race Results" post.:)

I just had a few sessions with Ferrari joining up Cruise room with more than 10 in the room ( mic was on with some chatter ), then an enduro series test room, glad I didn't lag badly.

I didn't lag badly.

Good for you, but the idea is no laging.
I suggest you address the issue as it is affecting all participant in online events.
Orido, please find a solution, so we can all enjoy your company and have fun racing with you.

If someone can send me the results I'll post them up in an official "Race Results" post.

My PS3 is on a wireless connection, and this is what I get:

I don't think I'm bringing anyone down, am I?

Rido have you done a test like this and if so what are the results?

I'm going to hop into the Lounge and fine tune my Mustang for tomorrow night if anyone wants to join me...

I did it sometime mid last year ... download was 7.xx Mb/s, upload 0.3x Mb/s, and ping was close to 100ms :( bad ping ... I forgot to mention I am using wireless modem ... another cause for bad ping. I usually joined fixed host room, so maybe my internet is lethargic with lounge / peer to peer type.

Sorry Orido but I think you're pretty much doomed with that kind of connection.. At least in the more serious kind of races where they are more worried about even the littlest lag. Maybe it's just time to upgrade?

(In stock club they're even complaining that my connection is too slow and mine is quite a bit better than yours..)

With wireless.. on the PS3 I do wired nowadays.

I am wired from PS3 to modem, but the modem is wireless :( ... my ping fluctuates as an effect ... sometimes below 50ms, sometimes just over 100ms :(. Upload sometimes higher at 0.8 Mb/s. I usually stuck with japanese room with fixed host, they are very good with internet, I always ask if I lag, they almost never said I was lagging. Mostly I am drifting with the Japanese :embarrassed:.

Am I reading this right... If you can't stay below the top speed on the two designated compounds you are supposed to switch to an even softer third compound?

If so, I think at that point you should be looking for a more appropriate car...

:banghead::mischievous: There's always something...:lol:...fixed...

Sorry, NC I left the room, I got disconnected from the server :(, I raced with TimDCT at the lounge, twice earlier, had a great time :) My Challenger easily lost it on the main straight, but make up the time on the corners.

I doubt I will be lag free tomorrow ... so I'll try to do a short casual race before heat 1, if I lag, I'll stay out. I might post one of my standard muscle tune, anyone have a request ? I have C1,C2,C3 Vette, GTO, Charger, Super Bee, Challenger, Cuda and GT350R tuned to qualify :D

Nice pics 👍👍 The Challenger is so high it looks like it's set up for off-roading.:sly:

Is that the same Camaro Tim used in the 1:14 event? Interesting that he could get the same car to work in both events. :)

Higher stance, more roll, better weight transfer, better cornering :sly: not yet proven, but I like classic muscles in their factory ride height. The challenger was running max RH, but still great around the twisty. Tim's Camaro is a rocket in straight line, drafting behind it from the last corner was like betting on a horse race

I hate to be a pain in the a$$ but I need to remind you guys again to follow this example:

PSN ID/Car/Premium or Standard/PP Level/Tuning level/Tires/ABS on or off/Top speed at end of longest straight

List your tuning level as follows:

Spec - Nothing changed on the car except for brake balance and/or engine limiter
Bolt On - Added parts that cannot be adjusted like filters, weight reduction, flywheel etc.
Tuned - Added any parts that can be and were tuned like transmission, suspension, LSD etc.

It's for database and comparison purposes only, there are no tuning requirements. ABS can be defined as No ABS or ABS, no need to specify the level.

It's a lot of info to fit on a single line but if you do it right, it makes a nice neat list like above. But some of you guys are adding info that isn't necessary like dual PSN ID's, extra spaces, doubling up on backslashes etc. I have to go through them all and eliminate everything that isn't necessary to get them to fit and it would be a lot easier if I didn't have to do that...lol.

I haven't posted my car yet, not sure I could race without causing issues, but my Challenger that consistently do 1:17.0xx/1xx has 322HP ( limiter ), full weight, CS tires, no ABS, 132mph/212kmh. I maximized gearing from 1st to 3rd for corners, then 4th for main straight + draft.

Anyone gonna be around this afternoon for a little pre-race fun? I'm off work so I'll be in and out all day until race time... Probably be sorting my car for Autumn Ring Reverse as well.

Thanks Cote, that's a perfect example of what I'm talking about...:sly:

Actually guys, since I'm an idiot and all. I might Actually be joining you tonight as well. Love these cars so I just have to try racing with them. :)
