Haven't see a mention of it, and if I missed it I apologize!

But the Ferrari VGT doesn't allow for simultaneous use of the throttle and brakes. The moment a brake input is registered, no matter how little, the throttle cuts off. For a moment I thought my pedals were acting up, but the throttle input meter in the HUD didn't cut off.

Then I tried it on a straight, by just feathering the brakes, and the car cuts 100% of the throttle.

I wonder if this is by design, or if it's a bug with the car 🤔

I noticed this with the 918 Spyder. Must just be the hybrid system, though it throws me off every corner.

The first thing I did after the update was buy the Bugatti Chiron and take it to Le Mans. I thought it would handle the track well but it felt like a total dog. I was missing braking points, turning in too late and going off the track. Oh dear. I then bought 2 C8 Corvettes - one to keep as standard and another to modify into something resembling the race car. I took my modified car to Daytona and it handled the upgrades rather well. I then took the standard car to Willow Springs and did about 20 laps because it was soo easy to drive. It wasn't stressful in the slightest and the balance was almost perfect. I don't know much data PD got from Chevrolet but if it's any indication as to how the real car performs, it's been engineered in a way that inspires confidence no matter your driving skill. It truly is an accessible mid-engine sports car. It's what Honda SHOULD'VE done with the '17 NSX.

The Giulia GTAm has plenty of poke, on par with BMW's but it doesn't sound that exciting. Unfortunately it's slower than the Taycan on Maggiore so it's not the fastest 4 door car, but it's pretty damn close. However you have to remember that this is an ALFA ROMEO, a brand which hasn't produced a rear drive sedan in almost 30 years. The fact that I'm even comparing the car to the German offerings speak volumes about it's performance. I then drove the Ferrari VGT on Fuji and it actually handled like a normal car - void of any weird characteristics that plague soo many VGTs have for some reason. I'm going to keep it.

Anyway, back to the Chiron. I was quite disappointed with the way it performed at Le Mans and I wanted to throw it in the bin, but after spending such a large sum of money on it I decided not to and took it to Catalunya to see how it would handle a shorter, more technical circuit. To my surprise, it handled the course really well and felt way more spry than it did at Le Mans. Although that was probably more to do with me than the car:lol: I also took it to Dragon Trail Seaside to see how it compared to the Veyron I drove a few days ago. Night and day difference. The Veyron is all over the place whilst the Chiron is not, particularly under brakes. Not bad for a car that weighs 2 tonnes.

shrug If I was so upset about it I'd just play something else. I bought GT7 knowing full well that some content was locked behind invites that were obtained at random. It doesn't bother me. Those who are terribly upset about it should have done their research prior to purchase.
So it's never the case that someone buys a product because it sounds fine in the marketing, but when they actually start using the product it turns out that the features are implemented in a way that's actually really frustrating even though they didn't need to be?

Random invites aren't innately a terrible thing, as long as they're balanced to be reasonably available. An appropriate drop rate, a pity system and something to make sure that players are getting a good distribution of invites instead of the same ones over and over would make it much more palatable. And none of that was known before release, although it could have been assumed that it would be the case because that's how even most F2P games will deal with random loot.

It turns out that the invite system is barebones and poorly designed, even for a random loot system. Saying that people should have known that Polyphony would have designed a bad invite system isn't reasonable, unless you're of the opinion that Polyphony is such a garbage tier developer that it's insane to expect them to design anything well.

So i sold the invitation bugatti because you don't need to have cars to make them count in the statistics.

BUT, now they released this damn bugatti menu book and of course i'm missing the veyron 13.... and god knows when i will ever get another invitation.

Screwed.
So you have to buy it again if you sold it ?
I just bought the Chiron for 3 million credits, oddly the Ferrari has more horsepower than that so the Chiron should have been less expensive.
What makes you think they based the price on the horsepower when some of the cars with miniscule horsepower gets priced 20 million?

I thought it would be fun to toss around the C7 and C8 Corvettes around Road Atlanta and do some comparison driving. Then I noticed that, once again, PD totally messed up the vehicle weight of another car in the game. The C8 is about 230 lb (~100kg) lighter in the game than in real life. However the C7's curb weight is accurate. (FYI the C7 is easier to drive fast IMO.)

Conspiracy? You tell me! ;)

I think it's the dry weight of the car. Maybe.

What in Alfas name is going on with this AI car?

This is from the new Nurburgring event. During the race I first thought the car was using a dark red paint, then when I got close to it I thought it was only mix of carbon + red paint, which yes, it is a mix of carbon + red, but, well...

After the race I took a closer look in the replay:

Someone forgot to adjust the limit angle/depth

Livery issue with the Alfa, won't revert to factory livery..missing all stickers and can't get them back.. otherwise love the update. Been wanting the Alfa on the game since sport!

Once again id like to point out the abysmal selection of period correct wheels for cars from the 80s and 90s.. It seems like 99% of the wheels in the game are from the last decade, so sticking them on a 240z or an ae86 or whstever else just looks wrong..
I agree! I hope somebody is working on adding more wheels, so many more brands that would fit in!

Big Money Worries..
Bring Money With you.. 🤣
Off topic, but... Mostly said by people who have never had one. It's all relative. Are they more expensive to service than Toyotas? Sure. But they are way less expensive to work on than Porsches. I've had 5 new BMW's over the last 20 years. Never paid for a repair or service. The few minor things that needed to be worked on were covered by warranty. And, the last 3 have been virtually perfect. That's 3 cars over the course of 12 years that have needed no repairs. None. Daily drivers, driven in winter conditions, etc. and two of those have seen time on the track, so not garage queens. Performance cars come down to how much can you afford for the performance. If I had more money, it would have been Porsches. Or Ferraris. Or Lambos. Or Aston Martins. Yes, BMW is little more expensive than cheaper cars, but, duh. It's not really like some people make it out to be, and it's really nothing compared to the higher end brands. Now, back to our regularly scheduled program.

The BMW was a weird one too. I had to purchase an E46 to complete it when I already bought multiple months ago. I sold some of the last ones after the appraisal update.
So, PD will blue book your collection status, but not acknowledge you’ve completed a menu reward collection.

Like the cars. But the new races are extremely disappointing.
Especially that crappy Bathurst race.
Should've made it as a 30min race with at least 500K Cr. reward.

The problem is there’s a cafe menu for collecting Bugattis! And the veyron is a 2M invitation only car and aside the initial grace period last February, I had no chance to get one of this!
Still waiting for my invitation since game launch.:indiff:

The rationale is to drive for fun, not just to make money. Simple.
Don't know if you are sarcastic or not.

Well you go to work then 8 hours a day and you get paid 5 euro/day.

The rationale is to work for fun, not just to make money. Simple.

And i get it. GT7 is a game. But come on. It's ridiculous at this point. Even the GR1 Road Atlanta pays less money than Tokyo or Le Mans. Why?

The Giulia's paint/livery is completely messed up in general.

Small indie studio, please understand.

I have tried this event once and finished 2nd. The event thumbnail also said 2nd afterwards. PS4.
It's a bug with the 3 new races this patch. It will only count the result of the first (of the three) you complete. Afterwards, it will not count the results of the other two races.

So if you did Bathurst before the Nurburgring or Monza, it will count Bathurst but not Nurburgring or Monza when you do those races.

Yes, apparently if you sold it for whatever reason, and they want it for an extra menu, you need to buy it again, but for that you need the invitation again.
Ooff, I sold a few VGTs already. Would suck if an extra menu requires me to own those again.

Was about to write about this. Had to redo the livery for the Alfa manually. LOL!!! It's a great car though! I like the looks, sound, handling and power. I'm going to play around with it this weekend. Already bought 4. 1 in each color and the 4th for the tuning playing around with to perfection. Then I'll go back and make some special liveries/paintjobs for it. It just looks the business!

Interesting thoughts. Personally I'm not excited about the C8. I drove it on Goodwood Motor Circuit and I was at my first attempt just 0,5 seconds faster than with a C7. Both cars unchanged. I'm not sure if PD added the new C8 Corvette in a realistic way. I was disappointed by the handling. Still too stiff.

I'm sure that's not the only thing they messed up with the C8. I was really disappointed about its driving behaviour.

That Chiron gets a hilariously low aero (150-200 when maxed), given it's mighty hp number, so it is a bit of a handful to drive. Slapped a quick tune and did a livery for a maxed out Chiron with almost 1800 hp, did a 3.25 with racing softs at Le Mans. You need to be very gentle in fast speed turns, and also when using anything less than 5th gear and car is not straight. It is a monster in the straight now with the extra power and less weight (1500-1600kg now). Does 420 km/h before first braking zone into the first Mulsanne straight chicane 😎⚡ Gonna check later today what it does at Route X. Probably easily 450 km/h+ without the slip 🤔

It does go both ways. Is 25k credits for 2 laps of the Nordschleife (when previous events on the track pay significantly more) while dangling million dollar cars in front of us in a FOMO shop an extension of goodwill from Kaz to the players?
I bit the bullet and did the race for completeness' sake. With my beloved 911 GT1 Straßenversion. Totally OP of course, still fun, though the payout doesn't even cover a set of wheels.
I thought BMW stood for Break My Wallet in the service departments. :)
Didn't they try (and fail) to make seat heating a monthly subscription service? Yes, you read that right.
Though with most BMWs I see in real live, I wonder if the indicator lights are a subscription as well, that most owners don't want to pay. :D
I'm surprised that you don't need an invitation to buy the Bugatti Chiron

The writing was on the wall when the Porsche 918 Spyder got added, needing no invitation as well.
My explanation is that they can't add intitation cars with updates, or else both cars would have been such by their logic.
The rationale is to drive for fun, not just to make money. Simple.
PD put significant effort in to make GT7 a "car collecting" game as well (collection book, café extra menus, many Hagerty cars without corresponding events, etc.). For those you need money. MUCH money.
Not to mention the psychological factor that makes driving higher reward races more desireable, regardless of if you actually "need" the money.
Ooff, I sold a few VGTs already. Would suck if an extra menu requires me to own those again.
At least those can easily be bought again at any time without invitation or waiting for the broken LCD rotation, and can be sold as soon as the menu reward is redeemed, like I did e.g. with the Vipers that I don't drive nor care for.

Other Improvements and Adjustments

4. Others
 - Various other issues have been addressed.

What "other" issues.
Well, PD's "patch notes" are a topic in itself, just remember the back and forth with the weather/rain system, which wasn't mentioned in either of the three "patch notes" when it was changed.
