I really hope for the Corvette C8 but I wouldn't mind the Maserati MC20 either.

Until then, we shall have to wait & see.

Finally, a Giulia. I'd rather have the Quadrifoglio, though. I don't like the aggressive styling of the GTA.
I agree on the GTA styling being rather distasteful, but the Quadrifoglio isn’t focused enough. So while I would prefer to look at the Quadrifoglio, the GTA is no doubt the one I’d prefer to drive.

Excited for the C8. Hopefully a C8 Gr3 isn't too far behind!

THat Alfa looks cool too. A Gr4 version seems like it would fit well.

Wonder if the Bugatti will be an invite only car.
I don't think so.when 918 was added it wasn't an invite like the CGT

I'm feeling we might get Grand Valley this update, dunno why but I think this will be a big update to end this year on a high.
I was wondering the same after last update. As extremely optimistic it would be, it would also be a neat way to round out the 25th anniversary celebrations with an original return, since it started with a new-to-series circuit.

People are so mad at my comment about not being excited about these cars. The question is, why should I?

The game is plagued by modern cars, including Gr. 4-3 and Visions. Only old one we got this update was the Celica. and it's a dang rally car

I'm not saying we should only get old cars but I'm simply not warming up to modern cars.

And, as @Nielsen said, car additions are merely expanding the game with more variety. When it comes to vehicles, anyway. We will have to wait until the actual update, but I find it highly unlikely they'll release another track in the update. Every time we got one, there was a long gap until the next one emerged.

I know it's Christmas time, but I just don't see it happening. If we suddenly do get another track that's actually a cool one and not some generic rallycross track, I'll change my mind. But that opinion would only go towards the update as a whole, but not the car additions.

I just find it funny when people are so offended when I say I'm simply not interested in more modern cars. What, if we get a new electric car and I say boo, will people be offended by that?

See you next week! :gtpflag:

Who is mad about your comment?

Personally I quite like the cars in this update, I agree with you in general modern cars don't always seem as exciting or characterful as older cars, but I wouldn't say the game is plagued with new cars, there are very few cars from 2020 onwards.

I also agree with your insinuation that the car additions aren't really adding what is needed, but like you I don't see them doidng that. For me they need to release an overhaul Spec-II version of the single player career.

As far as vehicles go, in a game like Gran Turismo, my personal satisfaction is to just appreciate them where I can't in real life. The level of detail Gran Turismo has done to their cars since GT Sport has been amazing. Some people just like to drive these cars around tracks, even if they are not made for racing against other cars like for example the sole F1 MP4/4 or the VW ID.R.

So I don't mind any car, new or old, to be added to the game. As long as they are real cars that have made their own history or are in the process of making it. But obviously, everyone has their favourites, so no update is going to make every single one of us happy, it's pretty much impossible.

As for the Gr.3 C8... No, I don't want fictional crap like that. I want the REAL C8.R GTE car with its real life liveries.

But ultimately, as far as overall single player experience goes, cars can only go so far when the variety of events is extremely limited.

Agree

I'm sorry but it boils my blood seeing the gr3 corvette race car I want the real C7R race car, even today I still refuse to buy that car and I wont to me that car is a insult to the real C7R.

I just pray that if they add a c8 race car its the real C8R.

alternately wait for 2024 when GTE is completely phased out and GT3 is the only GT in town and THEN do the C8.R GT3
