I just would like to say "Thank You" to the great drifters of GT3 who got me hooked on it. It's truely inspiring how some people could turn a game back into the number one thing on my mind.

Yeah, it is good to know that I have also inspired people. I guess that's why I did it in the first place. I just wanted other people to feel the same way I did when I first saw Gran dorifto.

I agree 100% on that. CudaMan, your video was the first I saw to have such awesome drifts for a game that I couldn't even drift in before (because I sucked at it, and still do). I tried your settings (saw them on Gamefaqs), then saw your vid, then found more here at GTP. Everyone here has been an influence. Your videos even got my older brother monopolyzing my PS2 just to drift. Now that's good.

There is some misinformation on that Gamefaqs FAQ, some bad info that was attributed to me (incorrectly), and they used my settings and quoted me without my permission. I'm not very enthused about all that. I can't remember if I wrote my own guide before seeing the Gamefaqs one or after, but either way I definitely prefer mine. I stole from no-one.

that was one of the first places I got info on GT3 drifting..a lot of their settings seem to be based off your FC settings.
Gran Dorifto 2 is still the best GT3 drifting video I've seen and I still watch it from time to time just to see how my drifts SHOULD look around certain corners hehe

And, yes I fully agree that without drifting, I would be sitting on my butt trying to entertain myself by other means.

PS. I have a drift video in production, it probably won't set any precedents, I just wana show my talent, if any at all.

PPS. I use StudioDV and I need to convert my mpegs to avi's so Studio can use them, does anyone know of a good free mpeg to avi converter?

Thanks! It's still under construction obviously but I'm getting there. It doesn't help that I continue to learn more about drifting pretty much every time I do it... luckily it becomes more fun as I get better too. =)

the best way to change any vid format to another is by using a program called virtualdub. You can find out how to use it at vcdhelp.com

ack x_X!I just have seen this thread and I want to say thanks to the person who mentioned my name =D!I'm so happy,hehe!Ah,but I haven't accomplished much -.-.I've done some pretty damn good drifts in GT3 and I made the music video to some drifting clips of some awsome videos.Yes,one of them was from Cudaman's videos,hehe.Well,other than that though..I guess ever since June or so,I've been playing Initial D: Special Stage on my Japanese PS2 ^.^.Hehe,I really like the game,but now I'm waiting for GT4,so.....I shall continue to wait in anticipation @_@.Once again,thank you for mentioning me!I feel important now,woot =D!
