Brilliant Derek, love my RAM mount.

:) :) :)

What's good about the Ram is that they make a modular system of mainly three parts, the clamp/base, swivel/neck and attachment - that allows folks to create a mount perfect for their own application :) I have 4 of mounts from them.

General Update - CSW Panels:

The "DSD Panels" (lovingly called the "Pit Crew" here) for the Fanatec Clubsport Wheel will be available for either the left side mount or right side mount (or both sides). Each panel will be an independent USB device and function as such without the need for the other side. There will be three layout styles, and the photos I posted a few weeks back are very close to the production ones.

The mirror face has been replaced with black as too many folks don't like the mirror (and it's less cost). The panels will not have a bend in them and they will mount flat - my test group overwhelmingly preferred no bend (and again, it keep the price low).

Each Panel will be offered at 127.75 USD - SHIPPED FREE anywhere in the world. Your choice of panel does not affect the price and they are all priced the same. My site will be updated this weekend with orders taken then. Shipping for new orders of this component will be no later than March 31st.

I'll have photos of the panels mounted to the CSW wheel going up tomorrow here on the forum, and they will be shown in each style with each wheel rim. I'm confident the CSW wheel owners community will like this component.

On the note for those who are flight simmers (and I am an old head going back to Spectrum Holobyte's very first F16 sim for the IBM 8088 computer), it's my opinion that since the panels mount to the wheel base, and most flight sim folks move their wheel, the panels mounted to the base may not be the best choice. But of course, I have other goodies :)

UPDATE - here's an update for all those who have a button box, Velocity or FVS II promised for March 11th shipping: I will be shipping all orders for this group tomorrow (the FVS II's will ship Friday). Track Boss button boxes promised for March 25th will also ship in this group tomorrow.

I will have a new batch of shifters coming off the line this weekend and will be ready to go for immediate shipment beginning Monday.

Thanks for using my components and letting me be part of your sim racing fun!

Many thanks to my testers and friends who helped this along. I'm planning on taking some better photos of the wheel and rims too :)

👍 on the CSW "wings" :) Nice work as always!!

i love them! seem to be very easy to mount anywhere else too, not only on fanatec wheel.
for less button it's a bit pricier but i like them

Derek, those side panels are a slick addition. 👍

Keep up the great ideas, they are working.

Thanks Derek, for offering those T500 steering wheel bosses. Just ordered one as I am getting a nice leather steering wheel from my neighbour for free. He did say the name of the wheel, but I forgot so I don't have any pics to share to the world yet. :)

Anyways, thanks for making those nice thingies.

ps. You wouldn't by chance happen to know where I can find any information of the pin-out of the steering wheel plug of the T500? If you do, then it would be lovely as I could at least get the horn to work for starters. :)

Thank you - I can't give any guidance on the connection. :)

Thank you - I can't give any guidance on the connection. :)

Thanks, Derek. I will ask in the T500 thread, or else I will have to take a little peek into the GT rim and follow the leads on the PCB.

ps. That StPatricksDay Mini Max looks nice. To give it extra luck I'd stick an Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio (aka Cloverleaf) on there to finish it of.

Edit:
I entered both contests now.

Congratulations to Sandeep Banjerie from India - he's the winner of the St. Patrick's day Mini Max :)

Thanks for the participation and there will be more contests in the future :)

Derek,

When I get my nice commission check coming up in the next month or so. The DSD side panels for the CSW will be a purchase of mine! These panels are EXACTLY what I need for the CSW. I have been looking into your button boxes for a while, and just never pulled the trigger. My cockpit set-up is not suited for a separate box.

This will be my first DSD purchase, and can't wait! Derek, thanks much for your service to the Sim Racing community!

My site isn't hard to find when you're ready :) These panels are an exciting new DSD component!

Do you plan to make more TH8RS gate plates?

Gate plates are out of stock. I am experimenting with some different materials to lower the cost. When the red "Out of Stock" notice goes away, then they will be back :)

Derek,

On the CSW panels, how come you didn't make one with the two ignition switch on the outside of the box (further away from the wheel) instead of closer to the wheel?

-G

For example, in the attached picture instead of having the covered toggles on the top right they could be good on the top left. Since they aren't used much during the actual race compared to buttons or switches.

When folks have special requests as such, things like internal clearance limitations, part availability, mechanical issues, standardization and uniformity, pricing, manufacturing and production time, connection issues, shipping costs, prep time, potential interest, etc. can be easily overlooked. When you have thousands to make, and have to make them yesterday, there are things to ponder.

Moreover, that there are thousands enjoying DSD components, my efforts are focused on offering what's proven to be solid performers built from successful ideas. My main goal is to maximize the most benefit to the greatest number of sim racers possible. :)
