Where is the Italian Car Festival at? And when is it?
It changes. 2005, it was just down the road from the Grape Fest of Grapevine, and 2006, it was at Lake Grapevine. Just know it's in Grapevine.

Wow.
It even has the ultimate combination! Doug, you've got to catch this combo at night. The black wheels and black exterior look mean as hell in the night espcially looking in front of it. I swear, it looks like the devil himself because all you can see are those headlights.

Lamborghini Mucielago Roadster: Making more and more rich old men lose hairpieces every day.

Well, maybe I'll be the first mid-age man...one day.

Its brand new, and its the first one spotted for this thread.

First one spotted for this thread? They've been out for several weeks and I've seen four or five. I've even seen two XKR convertibles. I don't take photos because Jaguars are not terribly interesting to me.

I can imagine - I've seen four Murcielago Roadsters now; they're some of the most visually exciting vehicles in existence. Especially with those bat wings wide open. I agree, this color combination is best, but Young Jeezy's Verde Ithaca Murcielago Roadster probably turns more heads.

Yesterday, I saw a couple cool cars. Didn't get any pics because I didn't have my camera with me. First, on the freeway, we passed a silver Saleen Mustang, which is a very very cool car. While walking around I saw a Merkur, nothing special, but I haven't seen one in a while. On the way home, we followed a 911 turbo for about 10 to 15 minutes. Again, nothing special, but very very cool for what I see most of the time.

A Merkur - nothing special?! I saw one on Saturday - before that, I can't remember the last time I saw such a vehicle. I saw one on a flatbed over Thanksgiving, so I guess three months, if you count on-flatbed sightings. They're super rare these days.

It just didn't seem to be super special to me. You know, oldish, didn't seem to be a car that really jumps out. I had though I had seen them before, but maybe I was kidding myself.

I think Toronado would also have to be talking about the SuperSports and original CLK GTRs. The Roadsters were obviously far from being the best thing Mercedes-Benz ever built.

actually if you look at his original post, I edited the qute from SL65 to CLK GTR:dopey:

Someone actually drove his Gallardo through the Holland tunnel and into Chinatown on Saturday night. Here's the best pic I could manage, being stuck in hellacious traffic and all.

Canal street:

I also saw a C6 Z06 on it's way in the tunnel, but never got close enough to bother snapping a pic.

There must have been some sort of convention in DC yesterday because I saw 2 cars not available here with diplomatic plates, both of which were moving too fast for a good shot
Peugot 206
previous gen Audi A3

Strange stuff, I really like the old A3 up close

ehehe, sweet, that looks like it'd be a riot to drive :D
what is it again?.... :dunce:

looks like a Marcos mini straight out of gt4

Roo
Nice. How does it go?

It's a modded Mini Marcos. Think old Mini in a dress.

It's actually a Midas Gold Coupe, same design as the Mini Marcos. The Midas Company bought the design in 1978/79. This is a 1987 Midas. It was mostly made of MG Metro bits by 1987, it's got a 1300cc A+ motor with about 75hp when it was new and fiberglass bodywork. It weighs about 620kgs soaking wet which gives it pretty impressive power-to-weight.

It goes pretty damn well for it's humble underpinnings, the handling is the most direct and chuckable car I've ever driven. I didn't really push it too hard for obvious reasons but even at lower speeds it's easy to see the potential. It had very high geared steering so every little movement you made translated straight onto the road, the term gets bandied around a lot but this little beast really did feel like an overgrown go kart. It's a very cool little car.

Caught this on a campus parking deck today:

It was running 'faculty and staff' parking stickers and was parked next to the Economics Department and Business School. Hint hint.

That reminds me, I was just thinking about it the other day and I have also seen a Maserati Coupe here also. It was in black and still had the paper tags on it. I have not seen it again, but I also have driven on that side of town in a while either.

I saw a Madza Madzaspeed 6 today in a dark burgandy color. I really kinda like the look of the car, seen a couple of them, but I did not like it in this particular color.

I also saw a Saturn Sky and was wondering what everyone else thinks of them. I do not really know what I think of them. I am kinda in between whether I like them or not. Same goes for the Pontiac Solstice.

Is that the standard coupe or the GranSport version? The wheels should be different me thinks.

Did it have those boring square(ish) rear lights? I saw a blue Maserati coupe yesterday with those great boomerang shaped rear lights. Its sooo cool. It has a thin orange strip in the middle, you barely notice it until the car indicates. I wish I took a picture now.

Doug, I really need to go to Emory... Whats it like there? :D

It's great - a good education is the best investment you can make, and the Maserati and Lamborghini running around campus are proof!

Standard coupe - it's running stock wheels, but they're a bit darker than normal. As for the lights, yes - the US never got the boomerang lights.

Holy crap you're right!

That is one sweet Elantra!

Elantra GT - standard leather plus the hatchback!
