This AE86 has a RB20DET
AE86_WithRB20DET.jpg

AE86 + RB20 though, yuck. Talk about your lead tipped freakin' arrows.
That isn't an AE86, that's a Nissan S12, so the swap isn't as bad as you think.

Not exactly like this though, as this one is modified as well.

:ouch: Sorry about that, I've never seen an S12 so I didn't know. I just assumed it was an AE86 :dunce:

Oh and that Cobra has an all aluminum fuel injected 482 cubic inch big block that puts out 650hp

And I found the website for the company that has that blue R32, HERE is the link to the page that has more pictures of it.

Nice pics

Even though I can't see what lurks within the engine bay, that blue R32 is iwithout a doubt one of THE most gorgeous cars I have ever seen!

And all it really took was Nissan TV2 bay side blue paint and BBS LM wheels.

I prefer to see FJ20's in S12's but the RB20 is nice anyway, they even used a early RB20 which matches the cars model year pretty well.

That silver/black TT Mustang is hideous! Nice engine, but they went way overboard with the fiberglass/plastic.

Anyways, the other Mustand and the rest of the hot rods are all real nice đź‘Ť Also I think the white S15 is pretty hot too.

Exactly. In most cases less is more. That GT-R reminds me of a 'Mid Night Club' GT-R that was featured in the infamous Chav-mag, Max Power, about 10 years ago. That was the most achingly amazing car I've ever seen. If anyone has pictures of that, I'd love to see them again!

Thanks! You made the beginning of my day a happy one!

I had a good spotting day on Saturday. If I can finish some schoolwork I might have the pictures up in a couple of hours.

Today I saw a total of four M3s. They aren't anything special, but my heart always goes racing and I wish I had one whenever I see one. Amazing car.

New wallpaper, thanks much! Excellent shot!

I can give you the original 1.5MB image if you want. Slightly better, but still the same photo.

samj_13
I've never even heard of that, let alone see a picture of it. Great find, looks like a boat.

Not one of Aston Martin's better designs, nor one of their better cars. In a strange way, that makes seeing it just as special (if only for its rarity).

opendriver19a
And something weird, an "L6" BMW. Is it real? or some crazy re-badge?

Definitely real, and definitely rare. I posted one about 6 months ago, for sale at some random gas station. There's also a L7 nearby, but I have yet to be able to get a good shot of one.

OK I went the the Import Motion car show today and here ate the pictures of what I saw/actually took a picture of. I wish that I would have taken more pictures but my camera was acting up.

Nice show. đź‘Ť A little ricey, but definitely a place I would have enjoyed being.

My picks for fav's. Nice day. đź‘Ť And GT Heritage ==

Indeed, regular ones are common, but I thought we were discussing AMGs - the CLK55 and now the CLK63 are in my view notably rarer than regular CLKs, even relative to other AMG models.

Oh, right. In another few weeks, I'll be able to re-post that list. The upcoming snow won't help....

M5Power
Now the really cool car in this shot is that Subaru next to it. ;)

You know, I didn't even notice that! ;)

M5Power
It's completely ridiculous - and as you're well aware they're absolutely gigantic. So it's a ridiculous price for a ridiculous vehicle.

Yeah, the normally large tow trucks around it look like Tonka toys. It absolutely dwarfs anything but a true 18-wheeler.

M5Power
Wow!! I've still never seen one, but I really hope to. What did you think of it? Was it super long? It looks like it's a behemoth. Once again your sightings surprise the hell out of me - I can't believe you saw this car! Very very nice and as always, thanks for sharing. đź‘Ť

It didn't seem that long when I took the photo, but taking a closer look now it does seem like very little cabin space for such a large footprint. The wheels also seem huge, much bigger than the 255/60VR-16 it supposedly is.

And you're welcome; I'll be sharing everything I see. You share, I share, we all share for...um...bad jokes.

Speaking of sharing:

Acura TL A-Spec - I thought it was still a concept, not yet released, and that this was a cheap badging job. Nearly fumbled the camera when I saw it (I do that a lot), but it was still there after my haircut 45 minutes later allowing this much better photo.

Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG - non-supercharged, so I give the owner credit for buying a pre-hype car. And it's probably more reliable than the more recent MB's.

Nissan 300ZX convertible - if it's not as rare as I think it is, then I'll actually consider removing it, but it's the second one I've ever seen.

Volvo C30 T5 - much more compact than it appears in magazines, and even more funky. I don't think I'd ever own one, but it's cool nonetheless.

Noble M12 GTO-3R - my best find ever. It was stopped at a red light, and I crossed in front of it, turning to go opposite. The driver saw me, and seemed to shrink away from my obvious attention. I quickly pulled over and took as many photos as possible before he took off. Even in gray on a cloudy day, that tiny car has enough presence to be seen behind a fleet of Escalades.

There's also a L7 nearby, but I have yet to be able to get a good shot of one.

If you see it, shoot it - those are the rarest, and someone ought to get a photo of one before they're gone for good.

My picks for fav's. Nice day. đź‘Ť And GT Heritage ==

Incredible car - I heard the vehicle coming and pulled out my camera. A second later the GT appeared. I often get excited when I hear loud engine noises and they turn out to be a motorcycle or the fake Nissan/Infiniti 3.5-liter growl, but the second I heard this I knew something good was coming. He was driving like a crazy person too - but wouldn't you, if you had a Ford GT?

Oh, right. In another few weeks, I'll be able to re-post that list. The upcoming snow won't help....

I saw two CLK55s this weekend, one convertible and one coupe, both W209 models. They're not too common - dwarfed in Atlanta by the E AMG, the SL AMG, and the CLS AMG, but I guess they're more common than I give them credit for - in Denver they're literally nowhere.

Acura TL A-Spec - I thought it was still a concept, not yet released, and that this was a cheap badging job. Nearly fumbled the camera when I saw it (I do that a lot), but it was still there after my haircut 45 minutes later allowing this much better photo.

These actually came out for the 2004 model year. They sucked - a minor bodykit, nicer wheels, and a four figure pricetag with no engine modifications. I saw one Saturday and laughed. They're rare, and for a reason.

Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG - non-supercharged, so I give the owner credit for buying a pre-hype car. And it's probably more reliable than the more recent MB's.

All CL55s are supercharged - it runs the 460hp 5.4-liter supercharged V8. Did it not have V8 Kompressor badges on the side? If not it could be a re-badged CL500. I didn't think people really were that shallow, but one of my best friends works at a BMW dealership and told me a guy comes in with the current 745i that he re-badged to be a 760i.

Nissan 300ZX convertible - if it's not as rare as I think it is, then I'll actually consider removing it, but it's the second one I've ever seen.

They're rare - for the record, I post photos of every convertible 300ZX I see, and I don't think I've posted a shot since August. There are a few I know about in Denver, but I've yet to see one here in Atlanta. They were rare for a reason too - you think the 300ZX was heavy, just imagine a convertible - and it wasn't available with the Turbo. Still a cool car.

Volvo C30 T5 - much more compact than it appears in magazines, and even more funky. I don't think I'd ever own one, but it's cool nonetheless.

Can't believe you already saw one!

Yeah I'm skipping the Noble. That one'd be too easy. :D

Dude M5, what the hell do you do to get all of those pictures??

I mean its rare if I see a nice car, I mean RARE.....(with the exception of car shows)

And how do you get pictures of all of them? Do you always have your camera on hand and ready to take some pictures?

Each Saturday, I take a noon shuttle from my university campus to the wealthy shopping district of Atlanta, known as Buckhead. From 12:30pm until it gets dark, around 6:30pm, I walk around Buckhead with no purpose other than to photograph cool cars (I'm 23 weeks in and I've seen a Phantom or Maybach and a Ferrari or Lamborghini every single week I've gone). Atlanta being what it is, I typically see lots of good stuff. You'd think it'd be hard to photograph the cars, but I bought my camera for that specific purpose, and it can turn on and fully zoom in less than two seconds.

In Denver when I photograph cars, which will begin happening again in about 65 days, I just cruise around on summer nights in the wealthy shopping district of Cherry Creek North. Denver is about quality to Atlanta's quantity - in Denver I don't see loads of 360 Spiders and DB9s, but Denver has provided me with an SLR, a Diablo VT Roadster, a Ferrari Dino, three Carrera GTs... and it holds a Veyron and Enzos, which can't be said of Atlanta. All in all, Atlanta is fun, but Denver really is a car mecca - Atlanta is more about looking good than actually enjoying the car.

Anyway - I walk, in my estimation, about six miles on a regular Saturday, browsing for cars. Valet stands usually provide good hits, but the best cars are always seen on the roads so it helps to remain vigilant and moving. đź‘Ť

This two-tone, spoilerless GT-R outside my window two minutes ago. Waiting for it to come out the car park for another piccie!

I didnt managed to get a pic but yesterday walking to work a Skyline R32 whizzed past in white.

First one I actually seen in the flesh. Normally R33s and 34s are more common.

Thanks VIPERGTSR01 but I said it was a joke (a stupid one, I admit). :)

I know where he gets his photo's. I'm always impressed for the diversity of cars, he's showing us.

Hehe I thought it might have been a joke but your end joke tag finished before the question. :)

I didn't even know there was a special edition of the GT.

All the Heritage Edition entails is that 'victory' paint job, so it's really just a special color, but they call it the Heritage Edition and there are only a couple hundred of them, so that's what's going on there.

Good to see a Defender warrents posting here :)

America only got the Defender 110 for a couple of years more than a decade ago, and we never got more than 1,000 total so they're excruciatingly rare. Oddly I saw one last week but prior to that the last time I saw a Defender 110 was in Silverton, Colorado in June of 2006:

You can see it on the left there.

Not the greatest picture, but this is a rather nice example of a Merc 500SL, it was in lovely condition as well...

..stunning looking cars in my opinion.

Ive always loved how the R129 and R107 SL's look, i see a couple of different R129 every now and then but i can never seem to photograph them.
There is a black R107 in my area somewhere but ive only seen it twice.
Gorgeous car :)
