don't know about 5, but that's a Nova Rally from 1971-1972 near as I can tell.

and, snow stuck a couple nights this week, and salt came out, and it's near dark by the time I start work, so not expecting much spotting until next spring...

I think it's a Nova, correct me if I'm wrong

It says "Rally Nova" not "Rally Five". It's a 191-1972 Nova Rally Sport. Judging by the cheater slicks on it, it's got a very hopped up V8 in it and a likely nice set of gears in the axle (differential cover is replaced, it's silver). Probably a VERY fast car.

Probably got a nice set of mufflers. All nice and quiet until he puts it to the floor, shreds the tires and sets off car alarms.

hmm... do those have a trunk in the front like a Porsche? Only seen it happen once, but a guy and his kid came out from some shopping, popped the hood, and stuck all their stuff into the front of their 996, looked really funny!

Definitely said Hertz Penske GT, looked great from the front which caught my eye (not in enough time to have the camera out...) But I remember it being in a sort of lime-chartruese green-yellow, not yellow. Though I'm occasionally slightly colorblind. Does the photo look more yellow or green? If it's green is it fake? Silly to not make it yellow if you're going for a fake...

Well, if it's real, first I've seen, and hope to see it again under better conditions.

Spotted this guy at an intersection about to turn onto the highway, so I ended up making a u-turn at the next one and had to do a little work to catch up. Luckily he was moving fairly slow and there was little traffic.
