Well....i can overtake a veyron on a moped as well...:dopey:
when its stuck in traffic:)

Well yeah but he was going motorway speeds on the motorway and it wasn't too busy last night either. Hopefully he will catch it again next time.

Continually surprised at how infrequently you guys see Envoy XUVs. I don't photograph them on 'too common' grounds. One day I'll have to prove this claim...

How long did it take you to figure that other part out?

I figured it out a few weeks ago. :D

Funny, I took a photo of the same car, same color, about 4 months ago and it, too, came out spectacularly.

Are you suggesting that it has nothing to do with my photography skills?! I'm hurt! :sly:

I just try to be sneaky about it, and I keep a copy of The Photographer's Rights (see the attached PDF). Very handy, despite never having had to use it. Next time you're a tourist in NYC, bring several copies. Too many paranoid "security experts" around.

Decent advice - although the last thing I want to do is get on the bad side of the valets by pulling out a manuscript when they ask me what I'm doing. They control my car spots, to a degree - I need them to like me. By the way - Las Vegas will be great - pulling a casino job? You'd better come back with some Maybach shots!

My spots today:

First Denver M6 spot. Looked similar to the ones I see in Atlanta!

Temporary plates suggesting a mid-April purchase date. I've never seen one this color before - it's very nice.

Saw this at a mid-grade (Chili's-like) restaurant for lunch this afternoon. Flying Spur Mulliner - $190k or so. Can't believe it was located here - I was stunned! You can see my new Audi at the top of the second frame.

EDIT:

This evening, I also saw--

Man those recent Bentleys are everywhere.

The M6 is gorgeous, that Aston Martin looks very small :odd: , and that Bentley is nice but too much car for me... I'll take your Audi. :D

I'd have done a Bentley-for-Audi swap.

The Flying Spur doesn't look big unless it's next to something else and you can judge its size. It has no presence, just sheer length - the Taurus wagon next to it is no small car, and the Flying Spur was longer both in the front and rear. I agree the V8 Vantage looks small - I also think the wheel arches are too big and the vehicle itself is too wide. I think though it looks good there are some fundamental design flaws with the vehicle that prevent it from looking great. I'm not just talking out of my ass here - this is the ninth one I've seen and I've had the same criticism for each of them.

How can you have an Audi when your name is M5Power? :sly:

I love the look of the Vantage, I have never seen any myself. That M6 is very mean looking especially in that colour.
Did the woman getting into the car have anything to say about you taking her picture? :D

That's actually something about car-spotting that I haven't gotten over. It's always really awkward when someone catches you taking a picture of their car/them. It just feels weird. I usually just smile and wave, haha.

Congrats on the new car, Doug! 👍

ummm... since when do you have an Audi?

Thread.

Fortunately I think neither the woman getting in nor the man driving noticed. It's obvious why I photograph most of the cars I do (the Bentleys, the Rolls, the Aston) but an M6 might not be so obvious. I've never run into trouble when photographing cars, but usually I don't like to photograph when people are clearly looking just to be safe. For instance - the black Flying Spur and the silver Continental GT are on the same valet stand, but the valet was staring me down, so rather than get the obligatory shot of both cars together, I just took off - no point in upsetting him.

Congrats on the new car, Doug! 👍

Thanks! :D

Sorry no pics but today i saw a Shelby Mustang GT500 07, but im not sure whether KR or not. If i ever see it again im gonna snap like a billion pic's of it :D

After seeing that photo, I've got 2 points to make.

I didn't think it was that cold here today....

And lets get back to the cars as the picture, although good, was slightly off-topic.

No offence, but what's so "good" about seeing a Hyundai SCoupe, a Montero or a Corolla?

Am I missing something?
I only posted the SCoupe because I thought it was funny that he started following me. The Corolla is notable because my friend owns 3 of the overpriced things and he is only 17, and Monteros are 1337.
M5Power
How'd you lose him?

I rode my bike into the woods.
YSSMAN
GMC Envoy XUV: Super rare, despite really neat ideas.
Really? There are like 4 of them around here. I saw one when I was getting ice cream last night.

That is really surprising. I never see them around here. The giveaway of course is the chrome rear pillars, but I just never see them... Although, there are a lot of Avalanches around, and quite frankly, that is still a better idea.

Furthermore, I would have been hard-pressed to pick any kinda of Envoy over the Trailblazer, but thats just me... Oddly enough, I've got one anyway... I still prefer Dad's Avalanche over (step)Mom's Envoy...

Folks.

This is a 1963 Ferrari 330 America. I spotted it in my neighborhood. I was on a walk and did not have my camera, as I had presumed I would not see a 1963 Ferrari 330 America on the walk. But I did. 50 were made and purportedly around 20 exist. I later went around the neighborhood looking for the vehicle and unbelievably I found it in a garage. A woman answered the door and after I explained myself she let me take some photos of the vehicle in the garage.

I've been living here my whole life - I believe they've been here since I was born, at least - and I've never seen the car before. All this time I've gone crazy spotting rare Ferraris, and the rarest one I've ever seen is two blocks from me.

Enjoy the photos - this is a car that is simply not seen on the roads.

That's sweet they let you into the garage to take pictures...awesome spot! I'd +rep you but I can't.

And here, I saw this on the way to work. I'm almost certain it belongs to one of the Pistons, I want to say Billups but I'm not exactly sure.

I've seen in several times going in and out of the Palace of Auburn Hills (where they play). If it's not one of the Pistons, it's probably someone in the head office.

Very nice spot, Doug. I don't think many of us would pursue it like that, so I've got to give credit for that.

It looks like it was in beautiful shape, other then being slightly dusty.

I've done similar things before, just minus the part where you take pictures, first time I saw a 500E on the road I chased it down and asked the guy if he would sell it.

Wow...never quite seen a Ferrari garage like that.

Doug, you want me to see if the owner is on F-Chat? Perhaps he could give you a ride next time you see it.
