In England, we refer to it as a 'lemon'
LMAO

Well guys, it turns out that e-mailing all those pics from my phone to the compy adds up to a $400+ phone bill. So I out of luck until I feel like buying a microSD card (which I can totally afford) so I can transfer them directly.

As usual no pics but I saw a car carrier truck with 3 Pace car corvettes and a Silver ZO6, how many of the pace cars are they making?

Harrytuttle, there are quite a few Lambo's on LI, atleast 2 Murcie's, 2 Gallardo 'verts, and a coupe.

Thanks, but this was at least 30 miles from the nearest part of Long Island. :) I've been to the Hamptons (sans camera, of course ) and seen the show, but this is where those people have their "regular" homes. The cars are here, they just drive them less often. I guess that makes it more special to see them, but it's still a bit...barren.

+rep for these, if I can. Can't believe it took you this long to see a Murcielago! Good shots - I wish Imageshack wasn't so damn slow so I could see them all at my leisure.

Thanks! :D Is Photobucket just as free? I should probably switch to that, then.

Smart Cabrio - which was never sold in the US. Owner had to drill holes through the US license plate in order to get it to fit with the European mounting holes.

There's one near me that constantly eludes me, like it's teasing me. I always see it disappearing around a corner.

Doesn't seem a practical vehicle for someone who's disabled...

It's actually the car that's handicapped. It's horizontally challenged.

Aston Martin surely? Not Jaguar..

We need a <sarcasm> tag for all these AM/Jag photos.

I don't even think the DB7 is good looking. In fact I think it's rather horribly proportioned. :dons flameproof overalls:

Especially with those wheels (standard fare on the DB7 V12 Vantage Volante). I don't think it's ugly, but it's certainly not anything more than 'boring.' Hence my Jaguar remarks.

Only spot worth mention:

By now you've assuredly seen the new Ford Taurus - here's the new Mercury Sable. I wasn't aware this was out yet - I was very excited to see this one!

EDIT: vehicle is not on the Mercury website yet. Cool!

Odd you haven't seen one yet. I think a local dealer has a few on the lot.

Wasn't that previously the Milan?

I didn't get a photo, but I saw 6 Dodge Nitros driving in a line going in the other direction. I didn't even know they were being sold here, and then followed with the next question of WHY they were being sold here?

I'm sorry you had to see a Nitro...are your eyes ok? If you need comforting we are all here for you.

Anydangway....

I think this is a VW Tiguan since it was driving near the VAG HQ in Auburn Hills. There were two of them.

SLR three in three weeks? Ah, no - this is the first one (the Kansas car). Driver was a man in his 30s; passenger was a same-age woman who waved as I took the photo. I often wonder if I'd be able to spot an SLR if it was coming towards me and every so often I have 'that moment' with the SLK, thinking 'SLR?!??!' Naturally it never is. Today I put that to bed - I noticed it immediately. You can't not.

Cars that i saw the last week:
BMW Z3 Cabrio (yellow)
Chrysler Sebring Cabrio (dark green)
Nissan Qashqai
2 Nissan's Navara
Chevrolet Nubira SE
Alfa 159 JTD (with evolution wheels)
Jaguar X Type Wagon
Volvo XC90
BMW X3

Hmm. Black car. Alley-like area.

 The photograph is a bit misleading - it's a weird area of a very pedestrian friendly, restaurant and shopping area. I took the picture intentionally to make it seem like 'Bentley in an alley' but it's a bit unfair. Later the valets moved the car to the street. Today's spots...

corvette_indy-062707.jpg

Corvette Indy 500.

Could someone please tell me what that is? I would do some research on it, but I have no idea where to even begin.

I remember seeing loads of Alpines everywhere when I used to go on holiday in Switzerland and France. I've always hankered over the GTA V6 personally.

Today...

Now I have something in common with all of those Ferraris I photograph: the license plate frame!

I saw an Elise, an E55 AMG and a CLS 500 today. And upon seeing the CLS in person (the first one I have seen so close), I have reassured myself that I would rather have an XJR for the price. Or an E55 AMG.
