YSSMAN
Its a Rolls-Royce, but I'm uncertain of the model. I caught that after leaving The Collection while heading back to my Town Car.

Silver Seraph I think...

Some great spots there!

Sweet spots on the two Porsche's!

And the SRT-10 is no less a Viper as a SRT-4 is no less a Neon.

seems we arent the only ones who bought a new car today :sly:

the guy across the road from me just had this delivered and invited me over to his garage:

Is that a genuine F1 car?

This place had exotics every night of the week, but this one took the cake. That is the first time I've seen two Carrera GTs together at once, not at an auto show, and its the first and only red one I've ever seen. Just plain awesome.

See, that's the kind of stuff I had expected when I went to Vegas. :grumpy: But thanks for sharing, and for keeping a sharp eye out. The only Carrera GT I've seen was red, so go figure.

Figure 8's:

Audi A8 W12

Silly Phaeton badging job....

Avanti

I don't know much about Avanti's, other than that they were Studebaker's and that new ones are painfully rare. This was not a new one. Don't even know what model it was.

Bentley Arnage R

It couldn't have been a happy event that put this Bentley on a flatbed, but at least it wasn't crash damage.

BMW M3 Sedan

Work sent me out to Mystic Seaport. Well, not there but close enough to go for lunch. This was one of a few spots, as I'll note later.

BMW M5 2007

I know what happened to all the M6's in the northeast: the M5's ate them and multiplied like rabbits. I'm going on a M5 boycott until I see one M6.

Chevrolet Chevelle SS396

A bit of a rustbucket, but you would too if you lived at Mystic. Not sure if it's a genuine 396, but who'd put a new badge on an unrestored, undriveable car?

Chevrolet Corvette LT-1

I thought the badge said "ZR-1" when I first went past it. I guess not. Didn't all C4's have the LT-1 anyway? (Outside an auto shop in Mystic.)

Citroen SM

Just a clearer picture of something spotted earlier. I think this car does not like being in focus.

GMC Acadia

The taillights must have hypnotized me into taking this photo. Not sure if it was worth the time, but it is the only one I've seen since it was released.

Jaguar E-Type Coupe

Most E-Types I've seen are convertibles, so it's neat to see a hardtop. This was a lovingly unrestored example, too (i.e., it's rusty).

Mercedes-Benz S600 ~2001

Earlier, non-turbo V12. One of Mercedes' many then-current thug-friendly cars.

Mercedes-Benz S600 2007

Current, twin-turbo V12. One of Mercedes' only current thug-friendly cars.

Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG

Best AMG wheels ever (well, except for maybe these). Oh, wait; that photo sucks. Damn you, digital cameras!

Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG

Yeah, unless he's running against E30 M3's, that's no M eater. And even then, I'd give BMW the benefit of the doubt.

Porsche 914

Neat little thing, but it sure wasn't stock. Not sure what was under the hood, but it growled like no 914 I ever heard. Not a V8 conversion, but some 4-cylinder; probably a 1.8T?

Volkswagen Thing

It's been a long time since I've seen one of these. This one looked so clean, I thought it might be a re-issue from Mexico or something. I mean, who would restore one of these so thoroughly?

Aston Martin V8 Vantage at The Collection. Long story short, these guys are the nicest salesmen I've ever met, and were happy to let me wonder and take photos, and even talk about the cars. The Collection consists of Aston, Jaguar, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Audi, Lotus and Bentley. Compared to the douchebags at Lamborghini of Miami, who wouldn't let me take pictures, these guys rocked. But that may be because I bought a Porsche Martini Racing jacket...

Nice choice. The Collection is a fantastic place to go. Michael and I have made a few friends there. As for LoM, went once, and weren't treated unsatisfactory, but then again, weren't treated with much respect either.
EDIT* Do you mean Prestige Imports? That's where we went, and was referred to as the Lamborghini of Miami. I didn't actually see a proper Lamborghini place in Miami nor did I hear of one. There probably is one by now though.

You should have stopped down at EuroMotorsport though, down in Ft. Lauderdale as well as Auto Sport U.S.A in Pompano Beach. AS. is the only place I know of that are currently selling Spykers in the South East.

Pompano Beach is about 2-2 1/2 hours from Miami, mind you. Or at least it was when my grandma drove me... anyway there's also a place close to the airport in Miami... actually, there's many like it. I think it's called Exotic Car Rental, or some other generic name. Not much more to explain, really... you get the idea. I believe they let you look through the lot, though.

A friend of mine rented a Viper GTS for a day, and it was about $150. I went about two weeks later to see if I could rent some beast and the lowest fare was around $300, for a SLK :irked:

Yeah it was Prestige Imports, but the Lamborghini website (yes, I went all over the interwebs looking for dealers before I left) said it was Lamborghini of Miami if I recall. I was baffled by the fact that they wouldn't let you take photographs, and even the guys at The Collection were quite surprised. I talked to the Aston Martin guy for about ten minutes about the cars, and the training program they have just outside of Detroit for the cars.

It was nice seeing the Lambos, but it would have been better if I had photos. Particularly for what appeared to be an LP640 Convertible.

...Still, I'm more of a Ferrari/Porsche guy anyway...

Dodge Viper SRT-10 Quad Cab. These are rare even in Michigan, so seeing one in Ft. Lauderdale was a bit odd. I keep wondering if it was a slushbox or not...
I thought all Quad Cabs were slushboxes? Its odd. On the one hand it makes more sense and seems like a steal at the price. And manual trannys in trucks are usualy hellish. On the other, one mights as well by a 1500 Laramie and buy a supercharger kit or something.

And a Reatta as well. He looks like a collector of oddball cars.

And what looks to be an old Landy and a Jag XJS V12 as well. Nice S-Class as well.

Might have been the plates. Dealers here have certain plates they don't want you taking photos of. Very strange though.

That's Roadster to you, good sir. :sly: :)

BTW, Prestige was the one with Audi, correct? Did they still have a huge lot of exotics in a closed lot in front?

Uh, yeah. I nearly called it a targa, but I figured convertible was a bit more safe.

Audi was on the left, Rolls-Royce/Lamborghini/Exotics were on the right. The whole right side had one of those low-level steel fences that only a large truck could drive over, because so many people are looking to steal 10 year old Vipers and otherwise "average" Porsches from a few years back.

Outside of the Lambos inside, the only vehicle I was really interested in there was the Lotus Exiege S, but that was more or less because I've never seen an S before.

EDIT: I have an old Camaro spot to post, but I'm leaving to go see Transformers...

Maybe not an F1 car, remember theres always other series that have similar shaped racers. A1 and F3 just to name a couple. Looks too small to be either of those even though....

Oh, right. I totally forgot about the other race classes. Still, it's got to be extremely fun on track days.

You caught a black Z06 in that pic too (i think it is anyway, not even seen pics of a black one before)

I'm not so sure it's a Z06. It's hard to see, but it looks like there's no lip spoiler on the center back. The underside is indecipherable, so I can't tell if there's a diffuser or not. It's definitely a C6, though. I should just get around to taking better pictures, of course.... :dunce:

I went walking today and found these.

Morris Minor:

SL65 AMG, I wish I would have got the bi-turbo badge:

Lincoln Towncar, I wasn't even aware these were in the UK:

Finally a new TT:
n38505333_31389904_63.jpg

I have no idea what this is...any suggestions?
n38505333_31389907_928.jpg

Don't worry. Us eccentric ones (Me, Doug, Harry) can tell that that is a SL65 by the grill.

Probably an even easier way is by looking at the foglights, if it's got lego blocks design around them, it's an AMG...
