Saw this in Avebury today, a Chevy Silverado and the license plate said JOE on it. I thought it was funny.

And I also saw this but I have no idea what it was, the only other badge was a 3.1 on the back.

Either an old GMC, or what looks like a Toyota Land Cruiser with a problem.

It's a 1992-1997 Vauxhall Monterey (aka Isuzu Trooper in the States), which was sold in many markets as many things, including an Acura, a Chevrolet, a Holden, and a Vauxhall - but never a GMC. Someone wanted to slap the GMC badge on their Vauxhall. '3.1' was the available diesel engine.

YSSMAN
I watched him turn into the Saab dealer...

I wonder if, by simple virtue of having the vehicle on his trailer, he turned into a Saab driver: distracted and stupid, drifting into other lanes and not noticing green arrows.

Actually, the truck with the Saab on the back was hauling ass down the Betline. We were doing well over the "Michigan Speed Limit" (ie, add 10+ MPH to any posted limit), and he even managed to leave me in the dust several times, blowing by minivans and SUVs who were too slow in our lane.

I couldn't tell what was wrong with the car, other than the fact it was on the truck, headed to the Saab dealer, and had the Saab dealer's plates on it.

I think it was a white w/ blue stripes.

It was a dark blue-ish black with white stripes down the middle. Just look it up on Google Images there are a few pictures of him standing by it. Also he took it on the show when he got it delivered. Of course as others have said he has now replaced it for a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder which to me is the right descision.

Not meaning to burst your bubble, but Clarkson doesn't own a Ford GT, he replaced it with a Gallardo.

yes I know, thats why I said 'old' ford GT

👍

EDIT: as Famine said

EDIT 2:

My freind just sent me this :D

Shot with W810i at 2007-07-08

having doubt about the clarkson thing now, wasn't his reg : MAN-550-X ?

nice spot CCX, i would have believed you even without a pic, for some reason Daventry and the surrounding area seems to attract some really nice cars, like i said last year sometime i saw an Ultima GTR around there... :)
Ultimately (lame pun intended) i didnt manage a pic :(

First one I've seen IRL. Not surprising, since no-one bought one.

This was while I was carhunting.

So who can identify it? :D

, yeah i chased the ford gt toward the inlands, then stopped as an aston came the other way and i chased that back to the bench outside tesco at which i had thrown my dominoes pizza on the floor in sight of the GT, and left my freinds.

and danny, that looks like the lovechild of a maybach and hyundai :ill:

Obviously Famine's got it - can't believe you don't see those - we got loads of them (as the Hyundai XG300 in 2001 and then the XG350 to reflect a larger engine after that, until 2005). They're great deals used - you can pick one up in the mid-four-figure range with a sunroof, leather, multi-disc CD, and a relatively powerful engine. I see three or four a day.

And they're very nice cars for the money. My family nearly bought one a few years ago, but we got a special deal on a G6. Really though, the Hyundai was the better quality car. The interior was fab--almost like a Toyota.

No-one here is prepared to pay over the odds for a Hyundai.
The bland looks and so-so kit spec were just the nails in the coffin.

I completely understand, although Keef sums up my views on the vehicle. Nice cars for the money. Hyundai is still in that segment in the States with an also slow-selling model called the Azera.

Well, I ventured on over to Antioch this weekend and saw a few gems, but all were moving the other way on I680/I780.

-Two porsches, both 911's on late 90's, the other brand new
-A black Ferrari 308 GTS I think that the one with the circular air vents twords the back
-New jag convertible, in white/tan

While I was at the local racetrack there, I got a few good picture of a little wreck(s)

All drivers did not get hurt, but it was a different story for their cars
