So, having Superleggera rims on it is a better reason for the name of instead of it being a super light weight model of which means Superleggera in Italian?

No, I just think a set of Superleggeras would go along with the theme of the car, as they are a light set of wheels also. It is nothing against the Scorpius-forged wheels on the car, I just think O.Z.s Superleggera would be a better fit on the car.

Except the car isn't named after a light set of wheels. Superleggera means "Super Light Weight" in Italian. The car is a super ligh weight model of the Gallardo. Hencefore, Gallardo Superleggera= translation, Super Light Weight Gallardo. It doesn't need a set of rims for the name to make sense. I don't get why folks don't understand this.

Is it bad if I care more about the Holdens and Fords than I do the others? If I would have seen one of those, I probably would have shat myself. There are just too many Porsches and M3s around here these days...

Aww, it isn't THAT big. I'd call the ram a bit small these days. Find yourself a Ford SuperDuty, and you'll get to see what a truly BIG truck is like in America.

Otherwise, the Ram is just a Ram. Average in every measure.

===

EDIT: Yes, I fixed it.

Fords and Holden here are every day cars. There are now XR8 aand XR6 Turbos every where. Ive never seen that new Ram before. We dont have huge utes lol. We have Holden and Ford utes. :)

Oh yes, I know that. It is yet another case of what may not be special to someone, may be the coolest thing ever to another. We've been dying to get those cars here in America, so if the Ram is so cool there, we'd be happy to trade...

I have a fairly good understanding of what your truck sizes are like down there. Your "normal" trucks are our "small" trucks here, and our "normal" trucks are certainly your "large" trucks. That must mean that our "large" trucks are practically semi trucks (or lorries, whatever you call them) there...

I took this at the Chicago Auto show (this being the 2008 Ford Super Duty, the largest pickup you can buy outside of the Top Kick or that International thing):

Trust me, these things are HUGE. I got to sit in one, and now I really want to drive one...

Today...

How about that lineup?

Here's a closer shot of the Lamborghini:

Um... Guage-sweep for the win?

Grand Prix's do that on startup, don't they?

Newer ones do if I recall correctly, but earlier ones do not.

(For the record, they can do 120 MPH. You just have to have balls, and the right equipment of course. The latest GXP will do nearly 155 MPH.)

Ya, I was going to say that's an incredibly fuel-efficient car... nearly 200 kph at less than 2000 rpm!

Well I spent the day in London and while everyone else was looking at Big Ben and the like, I thought I'd walk around the roads. I'm glad I did.

Oh ya because the mini van errrr MPV is hot! I also saw 2 Blazers today and couldn't get a picture, I'm disappointed!

I saw a few other car but since there is no picture there is no reason to talk about them.

Nothing to special today, but I got to see something I haven't seen in a long time, an un-molested supra:

PIC-0012.jpg

Gas isnt bad either, but I dont care since I ride my bike everywhere
And, yes, it really is a green 911 cab.

And saw a grey 911 coupe that passed me, no picture though

You really do not see any MKIV Supra that have not had something to do them, at least body work wise. Very neat spot! 👍

Hooray beer!

So you meant the short wheelbase model, and not the normal one? The short wheelbase one isn't really in the M3/190E 2.3-16 league - to my knowledge it was significantly more expensive and more powerful - it's notably rarer - and it was built specifically for rally homologation. You didn't mean the simple Audi Quattro coupe?

The short wheelbase ones go for ridiculous amounts of money now.

 Now I'm lost. Maybe 20 years ago was longer than I thought. I can't remember what the US had. The Sport Quattro SWB would be nice, but I don't think that was sold here. I think we only had the Quattro Coupe (no 'Sport' or 'SWB'). Is that right?

Either way, the US never got the more interesting Evo versions of either the 190E or M3, so a hobbled Quattro fits even better.

Yeah, I saw on of those a little while ago:

And saw another on a few days ago, in a faded orange color

Very nice

That's not a CSL. Notice the headrests. They are far from the true CSL-only type of seats:
CSL_int2.jpg

In all likelihood, that's a 3.0CS with an extra 'L'. Even the bodykit can be purchased, as many 3.0CS's (and other, lesser models) were "converted" to fake CSL's (or were raced, where the aero kit actually helped).

Now, this is even crappier. But it was badged 3.0CSL, I don't know if this is a amazing find or nothing special at all, thought I should post it anyway incase it's the former.

This one could be genuine, since it has the right chrome runners above the wheels (which are also missing from the red car).

To be quite honest, i dont think driving and being on the lookout for cars is safe at all. Probably just as dangerous if not more than those who talk on cell phones or put on their makeup behind the wheel. I have a feeling that soon or later, this thread or the scavenger hunt will cause some kind of traffic accident

It is kind of dangerous. This is why I shoot without looking at the camera, and consequently many of my pictures stink. Still, the majority of my sightings are parked cars anyway, so I have plenty of time to drive or walk up and shoot. Safety first; you'll see that car again someday, anyway.

TsLeng: You gots nice cars there. I second the Morgan, but the DB5 is magnificent. Totally overshadows the Z3 Coupe behind it.

Yes, a Volvo P1800 Coupe. It's to the Saint as the DB5 is to 007.

Since I have no sightings of myself to post, I will share more impish goodness.

Looks like a Ferrari F355 Spyder and i think the Porsche is a 997 GT3.

The Audi Coupe quattro was a non-turbo engined 4wd version of the Coupe. The Audi Quattro, although sharing it's basic shell with the Coupe, was never badged as a 'Coupe'. The US most probably never officially got the Audi Sport Quattro (the SWB version) since they only produced 200 of them to satisfy Group B regs. I'm sure a few sit in US collections, but like the Porsche 959, they're probably not legal on US roads.

I'd say the biggest give away is the CSi badge on the tail :sly:

Pretty much anywhere you dont see citroen 2cv's anymore, they've all died or been neglected.
