how perfect balance wants his civic to look :P

Well, he does have 15 inch wheels. I want 15 inch wheels too, so I guess that's pretty close.

nah the elise has a stupid amount of grip :D when i was in it in the rain the tyres were seriously done on them (loads of trackdays) but it felt totally planted on the backroads and all you had to do was give it abit of throttle and the back would get out but apart from that no issues in the rain.

Well remember you were in a 135R while all the ones we get here in the states have a 190-horsepower 1.8-liter 4-cylinder. Lots more power in that engine especially when you factor in the size of the vehicle.

just check the one i was in was 111r with the sport and the touring pack so it did have the celica 190 engine in it although slightly detuned but it did have the sports exhaust on it.

the ST220 is really rarer than a DB9? Are you sure? I see ST220's all the time yet ive only seen 1 or 2 DB9's, one of which i failed to get a pic of the other day, it was followed by a Z4 M roadster too. :irked:

Two very rare sightings in one shot... a Quik-E-Mart and a Ducati MH900evoluzione that is actually being driven and not in a collector's garage encased in glass. 👍

Two cool things: the bike, and the Quik-E Mart. I still have seen neither, but at least I have a chance at seeing Krusty-O's on sale. I'm not much into bikes, but that looks fantastic. It reminds me of the characters from the end..

You people are insane.

Perhaps. When I see a concept design, that's what usually gets stuck in my head for what "looks right". Besides, the carbon helps to break up the massive expanse of grey. Black or some other color would work better, but that cutline shows up as unnecessary on silver.

Sharing space with Ferrari. Chevrolet has come a long way. :)

Spots tonight...

I saw three of these today and with them I am now finished photographing Bentley Continental GTs. Sorry folks - it's too easy. It's like seeing a 911 Turbo. They bore me and they're nothing special. Thanks, Bentley, for making them so easy to spot that the marque is no longer exclusive.

348ts-072607.jpg

Okay I'm also getting tired of this 348ts - I see it every four days on average.

There have been two Highlanders sitting outside the local Toyota dealer for more than a week, and while I had contemplated taking photographs, I didn't want to taint the purity of my camera with shots of those demonic vehicles. Ugly, stupid, and doesn't do anything for the segment other than the fact its a Toyota... And people will buy them because they are Toyotas.

Well we own a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and I've driven it and I like it. Nothing special about it but nothing wrong about it, it's a nice daily driver with a good amount of room. *shrug*

On-topic: Decent spots Doug and back on the Highlander, holy crap they changed!

They're better than anything GM or Ford is offering at present...

DB9 Convertible, Ferrari 360, DB9 (Must get better camera that doesn't make Ferrari's look pink.......)

Holy hell those must be some quick cars - was that a regular trackday at Knockhill or something?

What I saw today:

Traffic. And an M5.

photo0052ar7.jpg

A proper Aston Martin V8.

Something you won't see many of....

regular trackday but the time attack and D1 drift events are on over the weekend so they were getting some practice in.the guy with the evo took me out cause he want my advice on braking points and lines so if it crashes over the weekend then theres a good chance it was my fault

I saw a very nice white 964 today (I think it was a 964, I get my 911s confused pre-993), though I am not sure exactly which model. The wheels were brightly polished, it had the big rear decklid on it, and the black strips in front of the rear wheels. It was coming out of the local Lowe's parking lot as I was driving down the street. Unfortunately, the driver left the parking lot going in the other direction.

Nothing majorly interesting recently, weather has been so-so, which means nobody wants to come out to play :(

First new S series ive seen so far....

Congratulations? These posts you're making are generally useless...

What year is that white AMV8. It's been my favorite Aston Martin for a long time but I never figured out what year it was. :dunce:

Judging from the plates I think late 70's or early eighties, 78-79 (mines V and that's late 70's) maybe - unfortunately it came from a garage further down so I didn't see it until it was leaving.

What a lovely car the Corrado was. There was a black one for sale not too far from my High School a year or two back, and I continually regret not buying it. My problem was that it had a bit of damage on the back (it looked like a baseball had been thrown directly at the lift-gate... Probably would have had to replace the whole thing), but that would have been outweighed by the fact that they only wanted $4000 for it, and that it was an SLC (read, VR6). The ladder-chargers on the G60s were just too prone to lag, so I always go hunting for SLC models, but this was pretty much right after I bought my Jetta.

Crap.

I would go back to a Corrado, even if it is an MKII model, but even then, the GLI from the same generation often seems like a better idea on occasion as well...

Two today, getting better at this lark:

photo0055ze1.jpg

Cool(ish) car, guy was a prat undertaking and not letting anyone through. (Ignore my rusty wipers, if anyone wants to donate me some new ones you know where to find me ;))

Baby brother! The temptation to nick those Carello cowls was so strong....

Spots today:

Heard a noise, saw a car:

gallardo_spyder-072807-2.jpg

gallardo_spyder-072807.jpg

Gallardo Spyder on Florida plates from the Miami area.

db9_volante-072807.jpg

DB9 Volante; female driven.

v8_vantage-072807.jpg

V8 Vantage - temporary plates; never seen this one before.

viper_gts_acr-072807.jpg

Not just a Dodge Viper, folks - that's a Dodge Viper GTS-ACR of which about 800 were manufactured. Yes I've seen one before but that was over two years ago (just barely - two years and six days!). This is an impossible spot. License plate read OLIMITS which was intended to be 0LIMITS or 'zero limits.'

But today's car-spotting highlight, and hopefully the highlight of many car spotting days to come, was this:

599_gtb-072807-8.jpg

599_gtb-072807-6.jpg

599_gtb-072807-3.jpg

599_gtb-072807-4.jpg

Owner showed up while I was gawking and after a short chat with the valets, drove off:

599_gtb-072807.jpg

I believe this vehicle is owned by the same man who owns the black Ferrari Enzo here in Colorado (their license plate numbers are 1,010 apart). To my knowledge he also has or had a 612 Scaglietti, which I photographed in the same place about twenty months ago.

Quite happy with my first 599 GTB spot! Impressions: sounds great, looks decent parked. Looks very exotic moving. Many people did notice it (being parked in the front of valet helps). Styling is at the worst bland and at the best great but definitely not bad (like the 612, for example - though I actually like the 612).

Hope you enjoyed!

That spoiler ruins the look of the ACR, i think the black one is just plain sex
That 599 is such a damn nice colour, in fact my favourite colour for anything ever! also deserves a
