A few spots from the past day or so...

Porsche 928S. Not my favorite Porsche, but worth a photo.

Buick GN. We love these cars for how stupidly fast they were, furthermore the fact that not many people know about them to this day.

A C5 Z06, in Millennium Yellow. They're still cool, and still set a performance benchmark for many cars in the class today.

Yup, F-Body it is. FINAL ANSWER.

And since this is a Camaro it leads me to believe this kit came from K-1 Engineering. They were known for Ferrari- and Lamborghini-esque body kits. Don't you love Car and Driver teaching you things one day before you get to share the knowledge?

But you really have to see the Mk3 Supra and a Camaro right next to eachother. The similarities of the greenhouse and rear hatch and fenders are nutz

Saw this on the way to work today. There aren't that many F430 Roadsters around here. They could've picked a better day to transport it on an open truck.

I also saw these two Ed Roth original creations yesterday:

The Peace Rat

and the Rubber Ducky

And some other things of interest:

Cooper-Vincent

Davis Three Wheeler

Maserati 8CLT/50

Stutz

Tatra

Land Rover D-Lander - a Freelander body on a Discovery chassis, but not really similar to either:

I had a natter to the owner; he said he'd spent £30,000 on it, built it in a little under a year, and was thinking about entering the Paris-Dakar if he can find the funding. It's one of only 3 of its type - one of the others is still being built and the third is just a chassis at the moment.

Speaking of Land Rovers, our rental company rents cars at the Land Rover dealer and, parked in the back today, was this gem...

Not sure why it was there but about six hours after I took that photo the car flew past me on different (dealer) license plates on the road a few blocks away.

*sigh* car watching in Michigan isn't any fun.

Mazdaspeed Miata

The new 2008 Magnum with M plates on it, probably a guy on his lunch break.

Awww... Michigan isn't that bad...

I would have figured they'd have forced the manufacturers to the new plates by now (replacing old Blue). I know I need to order my new plate this week (I'm probably going to get TOPGEAR on special order...), since I have to give up my old one.

It's not that bad I guess but when you see 20 Ferrari's and 15 Aston's in one day the Michigan cars just aren't that exciting. I'm going to my old stomping grounds today and maybe I'll luck out and get something cool...I'm mostly worried about the M Coupe for the scavenger hunt.

And I need to think about a plate too. Mine comes due in October.

Parked across the street from my house...

A look from behind... (my favorite picture)

From the side...

I've got others if you all would like to see close-ups of the front, rear, and wheels/brakes. 👍

Z06s here are about as common as a 996 Turbo which means, it depends on weather on how many you'll see.

However, I begun to catch a few Lingenfelter tuned Corvette C6s than the Z06.

If it weren't for the humidity, I'd have thought it was a desert where I live. I've got no decent shots for, what, a month? Maybe staying inside tied to a desk could have something to do with that, but still commute.

Anyway, all of this is from the last 4 days:

Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG (2000 & 2004)

One nice V8, one nicer supercharged V8. Still very cool, butch cars.

Audi S8 2001

I like this car better than either S55. I don't know why, really, but it's probably the even subtler looks and all-wheel-drive. Not as fast, not as luxurious, but suits me better.

Mazda Miata Mazdaspeed

After two years, I finally see one. It can't be the low sales (it's a good car, isn't it?), it can't be the location (Miatas are everywhere). No idea why it's so rare. Even I'd buy one, and even in this color.

Dodge Viper RT/10 1997

So yellow, I saw it from the other side of the building. Note: the driver is not pictured.

Jensen Interceptor

Wish I had a better photo, but this is what I shot on the way somewhere else. I thought I'd be able to get a better look later, but it was gone just 90 minutes later. Neat license plate, though, but I'm sure there's not much demand for it these days. I don't know the exact model, but it looked mint on the outside.

Pontiac Star Chief 1956

Such a neat looking car. Far better than the Bel Air of the time. The hood ornament is worth it alone.

Well, here's hoping I see more stuff as the weather cools again....

Outside of the Detroit area I rarely if ever see them.

They show up all the time here in Grand Rapids, you just have to be aware of them. Berger pumps them out pretty big around here, and I'm willing to bet there will be more than five at the Chevy Show on the 25th, not to mention all the ones that will be cruising up and down 28th Street all day...

...Corvettes are still my favorite, but the new Camaro may replace it once those start to show up...

What appears to me to be a Model T and an A, as well.

Porsche 356.
The picture was warped to all hell, so I somewhat fixed it.

I saw a Toyota Celsior this morning as well, but the image was too badly warped to repair. JDM, YO!

Oh, and

carspot004ts8.jpg

F430 Spider.

First shot, just a nice look at the front.
Second, my house is the one in the background with the American flag.
Third shot, great view of brakes and wheels.
