Wth!? This guy comes to Plano for 1 day and sees a GT500!
How lucky is that.....

j/k.:) Good find.

Actually I saw the GT500 in Lewisville on I35 north just before FM407. đź‘Ť Oh and I'm staying with my Mom in Allen most days during the week. Maybe you'll see me driving around Plano. :sly:

Well, i've seen HEAPS of cars since i last posted in here (if i have at all).

Today;

- Silver 350Z
- EVO II
- EVO V or VI (x2)
- EVO VII? OR IX (9) AND AN evo VIII I THINK
- S6 RX-7 (X2)
- New Porsche something
- Mercedes-Benz CLK AMG DTM :hard: (only one in New Zealand, and i think there were only 100 made in the world?)

I know the sales manager there and if he wasn't so busy i would have asked him if i could open the bonnet/sit in it/go on a test drive/take it home etc. Those 20" wheels are huge though, and really suit the car. :)

In other days lately i've seen;
- Chrysler Crossfire
- Mazda RX-8
- 350Z's
- Ford RS200 Road Car
- 80's or 90's Corvette
- 70's Pontiac GTO/TransAm?
- Ford GT40 (blue)
15.jpg

13.jpg

- Porsche 911 GT3 (first one i've ever seen)
17.jpg

- R33 GT-R V-Spec II
18.jpg

- Renault Sport Clio V6 (a.k.a. the one commonly found in Gran Turismo - first one i've ever seen).
19.jpg

- Plus heaps more Porsches, Supra's, EVO's, RX-7's and more.

Also seen Dunedin's Ferrari SuperAmerica and FINALLY seen one of my dream cars at the racetrack three hours north, a silver Ferrari F355 Berlinetta. :D

Ferrari owner was really friendly and said he would be part of the Ferrari Club of NZ if some of them weren't so stuck up!

SuperAmerica? and RS200

And over the past year or so;
- Ferrari 550 Marenello
- Heaps of Porsches
- Two new BMW M5's
- Two new BMW M6's
- Nice red BMW M3 (lateish model - E36?)
- Few R34 GT-R's
- Few R33 GT-R's
- Few R32 GT-R's
- Few S2000's
- Few Supra's
- Heaps of RX-7's, EVO's and WRX's
- Maserati 3200GT
- Couple of Bentley Continental GT's

And heaps more car's i've forgotten. :s

Well in Melbourne today I saw as follows,
(keep in mind Australia is pretty average when we are talking big-dollar cars per capita)

  • 1x MINT red 1997 NSX Type-R doin about 140mph just to get into a petrol station)
  • 5 Porsches (2x Cayman, 1x 911, 2x Boxter)
  • 3 Evo IX's (What scares me is that the only three I saw were in the vicinity of 45 seconds)
  • 2 350Z's (1x stunning black Track-version)
  • 1X BMW 6 series
  • 2X BMW E39 M3's
Heaps more, but I'd bore you.

Man Mustang-man you saw a LOT of exotics didn't you...
Kinda, also saw an NSX, Shelby Cobra replica, FPV F6 Typhoon (FPV GT's and GT-P's are kinda less rare than a Typhoon) in yummy black and a few others.

Still haven't seen any Aston Martins though (apart from what i *think* was a Bond-esque silver DB5(?) last year). :( And haven't seen any Lamborghini's other than Countaches'. :indiff:

A couple of Alfa Romeo's...
2 Merc SL500's (both black with black rims)
A real Shelby Cobra

EDIT: @ GT4_Rule... are you kidding? Go to SF your going to see 5+Ferraris..

Go to were I live your bound to see a whole builsing full of them :)

Mustang-Man, that CLK DTM just looks SO out of place there. Then again, it attracts the attention that dealer might need (It looks like a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer).

They didn't, it is a customer's car (bought for between NZ$500,000 and $1,000,000 i think). Customer is letting it be put on display probably for show-offmanship (really good of him too!).

That dealership doesn't usually have feature cars, in fact i think this will be one of their first. They deal in exoticy type cars. Heaps of Mercs, they are a Jeep and Chrysler dealer and have others sometimes like BA Ford Falcons, Porsche Boxsters, Nissan 350Z at the moment and they used to have an SL 55 AMG.

Quite a few of the cars i mentioned in my other post (Porsche GT3, Ford GT40 etc) were not seen in Dunedin, they were in Christchurch/Oamaru. Christchurch has about a bajillion more exotic cars than we do down here, plenty of places selling Porsches and other Euro's and there is even a place with Astons i think although we never found it.

I read somewhere that New Zealand has the highest amount of Ferrari's in the world per capita (there's a way you're supposed to say that, but i don't think i did it right). Also have the second highest amount of Nissan Skylines in the world after Japan, which is in pure numbers, not by population.

....how much is it for moving to NZ and its citizenship?

;)
Go to California... It's the best place on earth, and you get HEAPS and HEAPS of exotic cars.. But be sure to go to Northern California... Like in Marin... You will see AMG's and M's every day.. People at my school have a C6.. Mustangs.. AMG's.. and a **** load of nice expensive cars.. But you will need $700,000+ if you want a desent house.. Land here is no were near cheap.

I'm coming to California!

Pity my parent's don't envy America, well my mother for one anyway, California would be perfect for us.

Considering I'm getting tired by the fact that Australia is hopeless when it comes to high-end, high-class exotics.
Unless you live perhaps around South-Melbourne, Queensland coasts or various business-centralized places in Sydney, don't expect too much.

Not all of California is inundated with exotic cars. In fact, most of it isn't. The Bay area and LA/Orange County areas are the best bets. In the previous "See Anything Good?" thread, I detailed two car-gasmic days at Newport/Huntington Beaches, where I saw 7 or 8 cars that I'll probably never see on the road again. Good times.

Anywhere else, and you'll probably see a whole lot of Nissan Sentras and Toyota Camrys.

a black 1986 (i think) lotus esprit turbo, like this one
FS_86T_AshleyPope.gif

and that same BRG 1991 Aston Martin Virage (i know what it is now :))

old pic by the way, they were both moving too fast to capture, not to mention i was busy washing the car

Dubai>California and it's just a city.:sly:

You even see those in rich areas... But yeah.. You see alot more in Marin/Bay Area then anywere elese on the west coast. You can find most any car you want that they sell in America. I'm pretty sure my local Ferrari dealer has a Enzo, and a couple other rares..

Saw a beautiful blue new M5 today in Plano. Pics when I get home as they are still on my phone. đź‘Ť I tried to get the guy to rev the engine so I could hear it but he was a dick and didn't even notice I was alive. I was actually going to stroke his ego by telling him I liked his car and he wouldn't have any part of it.

If I owned such a car I'd be GLAD to give the people what they want. I hate dicks that act all superior. I bet I could out drive him in my Focus becuse $50 says he has no car control or driving skills...I do.

I saw something that I'll bet no-one in here has ever seen before.

A friend lives in the rich area of Auckland so I often cruise through there to get to his house and yesterday I saw a Aston Martin DB9.......on cement blocks. Some bastards had stolen the wheels off of the Aston.

Wow, too bad you didn't have a camera on you.

This thread is short on pics.

The NSX has Florida plates. And if you wonder why that NSX is anything special, then quit GTP please.

I know, it was really annoying because I told my mate about it and we grabbed his digicam and got back to the house to see the owner had got it removed somehow. :guilty: The cement blocks were still sitting outside though.

Here you go. A few snaps from the last week...

Way too common now. I complained when I never saw any, now I complain that I see too many. These car companys just can't win can they?
