I don't think theres a need for a new thread, most people create their own track day threads for the really special events so I say that anything else should be shown in here even though they don't "count" for whatever award you guys seem to be going for

No love for the 575M (my favorite "modern" Ferrari)? I mean, the Vantage stance is believable, but the Ferrari?

I'd happily take the 575 over the SLR, and probably the CGT too.

Really nice T-Bird

Ferrari F40 GTE > Pretty much everything.

ok. just one more before we leave this subject, from the same day..

I'll take THESE :dunce:

Do I beat you lot all owning a car of my other pics yet if I can has all of these?

I really like the 550 and 575--but I prefer the SLR and CGT. And frankly the DB9/Vanquish also has my vote over the 550/575. In the end there are just better looking cars that are more comfortable. And in the CGT's case infinitly more awsome.

Ferrari F40 GTE > Pretty much everything.

The F40 is a bad mofo, but I'd rather have something that's comfortable with some bit of a luxurious comfy interior. But, if I was a multi-millionaire I would definately own an F40 (and then promptly send it to Italy to get it painted dandelion yellow)

Yep, you've got one of the first HHR SS models there, which should start arriving at dealerships within the next month or so (if they aren't there already). My guess is that the one you've found may be a test vehicle for GMPD who are probably working on aftermarket stuff for the car.

BTW: I didn't realize they were running Michelins on them. I would be really surprised to see GM put some completely competent rubber on there, stock...
===

Slightly OT: My friends at GMI are telling me that we can expect a Cobalt SS with the same engine to come back somewhere near the end of the '08 model year, so expect about the summer or so 2008.

It was parked in a row of about a dozen small suv type trucks all with Michigan plates. Long term road test I would guess.

Also parked with the 2008 Pontiac Torrent GXP. My phone said the image was too large to send here but it even had the black and white makings like this photo. I felt like I was seening something that was still a secret. 👍

Because you can bring the pwnage while still looking like a dork?

(I wish they would make an HHR SS Panel)

The HHR and the SS trim of it are just as ugly and pointless as the PT Cruiser and its GT model.

If it weren't for the badging on the cars, I'd guess that the HHR is the sequel to the PT Cruiser.

Both sucking each as hard.

Well, its still better than a Caliber SRT-4. It being based on the Caliber gives it just enough negative points to come short in the end...

The Calibur is also a rather idiotic vehicle. It feels so cheap on the inside and looks so bad on the outside--I can't honestly see why anyone would buy one.

Or Matte Black???? :scared: that would look awesome

Came to think of it, a couple off years ago I saw almost on a daily basis; a Reliant Scimitar. Not the best looking car but rare (I guess).

I'd still rather own one of them than the HHR SS. It's so pointless to make an SS model out of something that isn't even remotely sporty to begin with....

The first time I had that experience with a Bentley Arnage, I worried that maybe I was getting jaded by this hobby.

I am actually rather jaded by it, but the constant release of new cars and the thousands of others that just don't run past my eyes keep me looking. But previous-generation AMG's, for example, don't even get the camera out of my pocket.

Wow. It was all junk until the LHD Tuscan. Didn't anyone else catch that it was LHD?

Ferrari F40 GTE > Pretty much everything.

Over the Blower Bentley? :odd: Mine, then....

Here's what's not mine:

Aston Martin DB7 Volante

Another point-and-pray shot. I need a co-driver.

Bentley Arnage T

In the parking lot where my company moved to. Others below.

Bentley Continental GTC

Almost makes up for my previous, god-awful previous GTC photo. Almost.

BMW M6

FINALLY! Sheesh. I don't think that could have taken any longer to find one. And it was in the most unlikely of places: Rhode Island.

BMW Z3 3.0 Coupe

Ugly, but in a cool way. The Z3M Coupe has to be the modern Breadvan.

Chevrolet Camaro SS ~1967

FL plates in NY. Far from home, and the mileage is apparently showing.

Dodge Viper SRT-10

Heard this guy all around Providence, RI. Since he was the only sporty thing in town (well, except for one other), it was impossible not to hear him from miles away. Could only get the photo as I left for home.

Ferrari 430

If only he parked in spot #430.... It looks just gorgeous in silver, yes?

Ford Thunderbird convertible 1955

Perfect car on the perfect day. Missing just one thing, though.

unknown pre-war

Tin Lizzie? Cord? No idea, but open to any ideas. Same day & parking lot as the F430, strangely enough.

Jaguar E-Type Series III

I think it's an S3. Next to the garish ~1969 Corvette.

Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG

Neat car, neat engine, easily superceded by the C55, and probably better as the C43 and C36.

Mercedes-Benz CL600

That purple is so...purple. Looks almost "Midnight Purple" to me.

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG

Two passes and this is the better photo. I can't get this camera to do a true manual mode. It keeps overriding my settings, thinking I'm an idiot for not allowing enough light (ISO80, no flash, and it just ups the ISO).

Mercedes-Benz SL600

Probably my last post of SL's until I find the SL63. Jaded, I suppose.

Merkur XR4Ti

Haven't seen one of these in over 10 years. Goes with the Scorpio that I see once a week, though.

MG Sprite

It's not a Sprite, is it? I don't know my MG's so well.

Opel GT

The "other car" in Providence. Not really loud, but it almost suck by me. Ninja camera man, I am. "PROPEL" license plate. ;)

Pontiac Bonneville 1968

Beautiful metallic candy apple red.

Pontiac GTO 6.0

Here because it never got enough credit when it was being sold.

Subaru Impreza Outback/Outback Sport

One word: Nike. Subaru is still sucking.

Volkswagen Jetta GLI Fahrenheit

Did not know this even existed. Still haven't gone to VW's web site to see what else is out there....

Nice spots harry, especially the silver F430. Very nice color. Would love to see one in person.

Me, today:

Question my order all you want but take a second glance at that Maybach - that's no 57 - it's a 62; all $390,000 of it. Yummy. Only the third one I've ever seen. Murcielago driver sat at that light until it turned red - once it did he gunned it (the noise was ridiculous) and then bottomed out on the road. Sorry for the poor pics - my camera doesn't do nights.

It looks like the Maybach is about to flip over. It also looks like the Maybach is ugly.

Saw another Z06 this afternoon, this one silver, but no pics. Its not like you haven't seen them already... Although, there was a buzzy little S2000 trying to play with it. It was like watching the Raptor trying to go after T-Rex in Jurassic Park...

I don't see anything wrong with these Doug, I love the mood of this photo:tup: It goes to show how fast and beautiful Murcielago's are:tup:
