Anyone know how many of these came to the US let alone atill running today?

No - but out of a total 3.3 million made, a lot did get here. I'll see one every few months. Granted, never in that color. I'm not sure they were ever officially sold here.

There is a Citroen club of North America, and they'd probably know. The really rare 2CV is the all-wheel drive one, which had a motor for every drive wheel. Some absurd number like ten exist to this day.

While waiting for my green at an intersection a white VW Type 3 Sedan passed me. In regards to the 2CV there's a yellow one around here in the Sacramento Area.

Ha! Lambo across the street.

Met a guy driving a car at the gas station that I didnt recognize, asked him what it was, and man did I ever get a long story ( was late off of my lunch break )

Looked kinda porsche 968-esque but beefier, and more aggressive lines, differennt tail and head lights turns out it was a home made car, built using a mid 90's mustang, a porsche 968, an early 90's bmw 7 series and a Pantera....

I wish I had my camera on me, but the outcome was fantasic, it have a supercharged v8 he clamed almost 500 hp. the interior looked like something from a gentlemans social club, nice brown leather with wook trim, very pro-looking. He called it " Heinz 57 "

This vehicle was scapegoated for a long time, but I've always admired it. This is only the fourth one I've seen on the road, and the first I've ever photographed.

Plates are from 1995, and although the Mondial was replaced in 1993 my money's on either a one-owner or a two-owner Mondial t, which would put it at '89-'93, though I can't be sure about that. Definitely not the best Ferrari, but a cool one no less.

You'd think so.:)

^that was when he brought it home yesterday

(I'm not sure if it actually is a Firebolt, but I know it's a Buell)

Edit: (it says America on it and everything)

Thats cool, I see a hardtop version of that car all the time around here...some really really old guy is alwaysd driving it around...I kinda looks like a testarosa drawn by someone not in complete control of their angles.

 thats great, pretty good description though!

I saw on my way to work at 6.30 this morning a red Vauxhall monaro VXR
Only the second ive seen, parked at the local vauxhall dealership.
I went back after work to try photograph it, someone had bought it!
Its only been there one day! :grumpy:

A Noble M12, in gunmetal grey.

It was so good, I nearly crashed my bike into a main road and narrowly avoided being hit by a Citroen Saxo coming the other way.

Thursday night is when weekends in Denver begin, and that means you can see some pretty cool cars if you know where to go. Tonight was no exception:

Not an all-out incredible night, but a good one no less. The Azure Mulliner (which is the only car in the above photograph that was seen Wednesday, not Thursday) is a common sight in Denver; I'm sure it's the only one in town but the owner lives within a mile of my house and I see it every week or two. It's nice to be on a weekly basis with a $370,000 car. :) The Z4 M Roadster is running Colorado plate "N0W" (nora zero william not nora ocean william) which was formerly on a '97-'05 Chevrolet Corvette convertible - I think he traded up. Second Z4 M I've seen.

Here are blown-up shots of the two highlights:

I've never seen an Azure in the flesh, but I've seen plenty of Arnages (Arnagii?).

That's awesome. 👍

Better if it was in red though. :D

May 15, 2005 - Denver, Colo.

It's interesting - I saw that car fourteen months ago tomorrow, and I haven't seen it since (which is extremely uncommon - usually I see these things a few times). Also interesting is the fact that that's the very first exotic car I ever photographed. :) And yes it is a Challenge Stradale, despite not having all the stripes and crap that adornes typical Stradales.

I've never seen an Azure in the flesh, but I've seen plenty of Arnages (Arnagii?).

I've seen that in on three consecutive weeks now and on seven separate occaisions. The first time I saw it I took so many photographs that the driver pulled over and glared at me. Plates indicate it was a full-on purchase (imagine having the cash to purchase an Azure Mulliner) back in early spring 2002. Here's my best picture of it:

October 4, 2005 - Denver, Colo.

When I saw the vehicle last week, it was doing 80mph in a 55mph zone on the highway. This was at about 10pm. I followed him off the highway where he drove extremely erratically before pulling in to a Safeway parking lot. There's no doubt in my mind he was very drunk. Imagine being drunk in an Azure Mulliner - which is probably about three tons. These are the badge shots from the very first time I saw the vehicle, on June 10, 2005:

Bottom line: it's quite a car.

Saw a Rolls Royce Phantom (new one) in a driveway, and I remember thinking why the hell is a 250k plus car in a crappy driveway. That same house has also had a GT40 replica and a Ferrari 360 there, so I'm guessing either he works on the cars or he's very rich.

Also saw a Ferrari Dino on the A40 - very pleased with that since modern Ferraris are becoming a common sighting compared to other exotic marques.

But I wanted a Challenge Stradale...:nervous:

Cool nevertheless. :D

The worst holiday...or the best was when I was in Surfers Paradise, QLD. Every morning at 6.00am, a guy in a 650+HP 96' Corvette would come screaming out onto the streets right below my window.
Damn was it loud! 👍

The mirrors are what give it away, I've only seen one 360 CS and the sound was awesome although the 430 spider has probably topped it when I saw one in C.London revving at the lights, finally a Ferrari owner knowing what to do for me :D

The mirrors are what give it away,

Yep - mirrors and wheels. But unlike the wheels you can't really transfer the mirrors. That pic was taken not long after the car debuted, too. Quite a sighting. Haven't seen a Challenge Stradale since.

Well, this was pretty "good", but it's also seriously "bad". Sorry for the lousy pic quality, but it's hard to drive and shoot at the same time:

Same old story: Just because you can afford a 200-MPH car, it doesn't necessarily mean you can drive it.

I wonder what the repair bill will be? How long will it take to round up the parts? Most Porsche dealers don't carry a lot of Carrera GT pieces...
